great staff nothing to much trouble for them .we love the food and the great selection of starters .
We regularly visit for Sunday lunch. The main was nice, but the dessert options are not to standard. In the past there were fudge cake and lemon meringue pie. I just don’t think the ice cream machine cuts it.
The service from the lady who was looking after us was great. She totally fussed over my daughter which is nice to see.
Lovely food in a cosy atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Staff were amazing. And food was delicious. Will definitely be returning soon
Very friendly and welcoming staff, and good ambience, but the food was rather disappointing, apart from the starters - nice selection of cold meats and fishy things. The ham at the carvery was very tough - although the turkey was OK - and all the vegetables were very overcooked. The desserts, apart from the fresh fruit salad (not bad) were all creamy and tasteless. Pity the food didn't match the lovely staff.
still no side plates to put bread on if you have soup
no table cloth
no dry maritni in bars
no stella in two bar areas
Great food, selection and excellent value for money despite a fire alarm going off we were kept well informed. Food was quickly covered and hot food prepared again.
Staff were all over the place the meal was nice but staff need to organise better and communicate with each other and not shout.
Easter eggs were not given .
Entered the restaurant at 12.45 and said we had a booking at 1.00pm., and was promptly told we had to vacate the table by 2.00pm.
Very good tasty food, I've been surprised how tasty was the food and friendly staff... Definitely recommend it!!
Visited the village Carvery for the first time.
There wasn’t a great choice of starters or veggies.
But the the staff were very lovely and helpful.
Personally I wouldn’t return here for a Carvery lunch.
First time here but will not be our last. Good carvery and value for money espesh with four courses. Will be back sooner rather than later
I WAS DISAPPOINTED, i was so looking forward to this as attending a freinds wedding soon and had looked it up. i have booked two nights in the hotel......
Staff made the whole experience delightful for us.
Friendly,inviting and warming environment.
Have booked again for me and my family for Sunday lunch.
Great value for money.
All staff extremely friendly, no rushing you to eat up. Food was excellent and very good value for money, we had the set menu. Good choice food on both menus. Highly recommended
The price on my confirmation wasn't what I was charged, but I paid rather than spoil the day, excellent service.
Visited for mother’s day and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing
Came here for Sunday lunch was great lots of variety and the food was hot and very tasty. Myself and my husband are both vegetarian and the chef Ryan delivered a very high level of customer service as well as great food. Thank you
Service was poor food was OK dessert was poor and no gluten free soup, pork pie was warm starter food should be kept cold and so should desserts as the cream was melting and warm.
Well where do I start? We were shown to our table and then ordered our drinks, unfortunately the lager was not available and so a coke was ordered instead along with 2 lemonades. 45 minutes later and we were still waiting for the coke. I reminded the waitress that we had initially, only to be told that she finished minutes ago and had asked someone else to bring the drink. The cold starters were not on a chilled unit and therefore were not that cold at all. The carving table was most unstable and choice of veg was limited. The gravy looked stagnant and we were expecting to find some tadpoles in there.
We were given a voucher to eat there for Christmas to the value of £50. We were so eager to leave we didn’t spend the full amount and when I went to pay the bill they wanted me to pay cash and to save my voucher for another time. After our experience I was confident I did not want to return there.
Customer service is appalling and the food is not much better.
Our Water was very good and helpful. I added 3 more to my booking on the day and the staff went out of there way to help us, even though they were fully booked.
It was first tine we visited for carvery and have to say it was appauling the service was horrendous no one explained how the system worked tables around us were left uncleared the whole time we were there . Staff were very inexperienced . The food was tasteless and not much choice at all for a carvery we definitely will not be returning here .
Really good value, great place- only let down, there was a lot of waiting around for people to be served their desserts, as there was never anyone around the desserts section and when you asked someone they had to find the person that did the desserts- (not sure if they were short staffed or it was the time of day I went) but I still got a waffle and it was delicious! Still would go again :)
Excellent food!..excellent service!..and very competitive prices! what more could you ask for?...regards D Round
Disappointed by food much lower standard than previous visits. 4 course lunch is really 3 course help yourself. puddings very poorly laid out self service which caused confusion.
Lovely afternoon spent with family . Food was lovely
We went to the The village hotel dudley for family meal staff were very helpful nothing was to much troble for them, food was excellent we had a lovely night and would recommend
Service could be better , staff ( all bar one) appeared very inexperienced.
Offer of 50% off means you cannot go wrong. But remember you get what you pay for.
Had a BOGOF following lovely meal at tribute night in December.
Really enjoyable meal great quality and friendly staff as always. Booked last minute online and unfortunately booking system allowed us to book in half an hour before the restaurant even opened? But staff were accommodating and friendly and sorted out the error for us with no fuss Thank you to the waiting staff
The food was expensive and not good value. I ordered hollumi, which they had not got and had to have goats cheese (tiny portion) I was still hungry at the end of the meal. Much better value in the pub part of the village.
it was my husband and my anniversary we spent our wedding night and reception at this hotel so decided to stay the night and have a meal in the restaurant. The food was really good so was the value we had the 3 course set menu which kept the cost down.I had a lovely cocktail and my hubby had the Stella. The staff were friendley and helpful. There was not to many people in so we had plenty of attention from the staff. We would really recommend this hotel and restaurant and look forward to our return.
Terrible quality of food and over priced. Service was good, but the restaurant was empty at peak time on Saturday night (I can see why!). Don't bother wasting your money when there are half a dozen other restaurants within the vicinity to have a more enjoyable flavoursome meal at.
Slightly odd experience that promised a lot but was a little disappointing. We were sat down quickly enough and offered a drinks choice after waiting a few minutes, ordering a bottle of wine from the 4-5 whites on the menu but the young waiter who appeared fairly new could only advise some time later that only two whites were available. we opted for one of them and a pint, then waited another 5 minutes or more for it to arrive. The food order was taken and quite painstaking as it was a simple 1 starter to share and both having the burger (£16 each!) but written onto the pad like a 2 page essay and then took quite a while to arrive - when it did come we then had the obligatory 3 visits from 3 different people asking if everything was okay. The food was decent, admittedly but the service so slow even though only about 5 other diners in the place and a bill of £64 for the pleasure. Nice but could have been so much better and cheaper.
Staff were friendly, food was delicious with a good selection on the set menu. Would recommend and visit again.
Lovely place with good quality carvery. Shouldn't allow bookings at 16.30 due to being kicked out at 17.30 with 15 mins notice. Manager tried to help but still felt rushed and the staff started clearing around us and only limited deserts left.
Lovely Sunday lunch as usual. We were not too keen on the benches at the tables though!
Nice Sunday lunch meal, good selection of starters available, 3 meats, 4 veg plus potatoes on the carvery and several desserts. All present nicely but my only criticism would be that they are not restocked quickly enough and that there were several occasions when people went to get starter/desserts to find there was little available. Also the area for desserts was often unstaffed meaning that if you wanted ice cream or a waffle you had to queue and wait.
On the whole though a nice experience, good atmosphere and good value for money, we will no doubt return.
Good variety of food choice, very friendly staff and prompt service. Food was cooked and presented well.
All you can eat Sunday carvery really good value for money lots of choices and even better kids eat free.
Staff very helpful great service all round definitely going back
