We go quite regularly but on this occasion the service was terrible and the food was no the best. There were no desserts and had to keep finding someone if we wanted anything. There was no service at all from staff. Not impressed this time

Beautifull restaurant the Sunday carvery menu was incredible and value for money, it just seems the later you go the less options you have but the quality of the food that is there is brilliant, the choice of hot and cold starters are outstanding

First time but will certainly not be the last. Booked for a Sunday lunch for a group of 3 at 12.30. Staff were welcoming, very pleasant and polite. The food was of a good choice and plentiful. My only complaint would be if the plates for the carvery were a little warmer. I am glad that we chose an early time because it did start to fill up quite quickly but for what you get for the price you pay it is hardly surprising. Looking forward to my next visit.

The Sunday lunch organisation has changed for the better since our last visit. The Carvery and starters bar stand on their own with the gravy and soup area at the side. The sweets area is separate or you can order to your table. The seating is comfortable and the Staff were very welcoming. They also looked after a diner very well who was taken ill at the table, even showing concern for fellow diners. An ambulance arrived very quickly. The only downside we saw was that some families allowed children to run around shouting etc. but we appreciate the Restaurant is limited in its ability to handle this scenario as todays parents seem oblivious to the nuisance their children are causing. People are walking about with hot meals which could cause problems. Overall a very good experience and one which we will be repeating. The staff made our day with their excellent service.

Not had a meal here for a long time but definitely was not disappointed. Food delicious and hot. Lots of choice and catered for myself who has coeliac disease. Would most definitely recommend and will not be too long before I go again. Well worth the money. Only slight niggle would be the price of the drinks but it is a hotel so tend to expect it.

Food was not great, not at the same standard as the Solihull Village Grill. Chicken was served as useasoned breasts, vegetables were all dried out, stuffing was rock solid and we were asked to wait 15 minutes for a table that was pre-booked.

Okay but wouldn't be in a rush to return.

Sunday roast beef was very tough and we left our meat because we could not cut it or chew it.
We had no table service we had starters of soup that were brought to us but after that no one came to us again we are main and desert with all the dirty plated from previous course still on the table and it being a table for 2 we had no room to eat we aakws for drinks but no I.e came to us so we had to leave our good and go to bar ourselves on experience of this visit we would not eat Sunday lunch here again

Sunday lunch was excellent value for money. Selection of starters and sweets was unbelievable. Turkey was cooked extremely well. Would have preferred more selection with vegetables.

Food and service were very good, staff made us feel welcome. Only disappointment was that staff did not appear to know about our booking when we arrived (booked on 10th October - 6 weeks in advance for 8 people). A table had not been prepared so unfortunately we had to wait while staff moved two tables together for us.

This was annoying in view of the advance notice and receipt of several reminder emails from the venue in the lead up to the event but then a table was not ready for us. When we arrived the Village Grill restaurant was empty so no excuse really.

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff. We were seated straight away even though we hadn't booked which was great. Nice layout, all on one level which was a bonus for myself as I'm on crutches. Food was good value for money.

Very busy afternoon with a large birthday Party going on, but it didn't interfere with our table service. Very impressed with the attention given by the chef to my Coeliac diet, with gluten-free gravy available. Excellent. we thought that the vegetables were not good, as apart from nice carrots, they were overcooked, the cabbage being uneatable.
Limited range of puds, and the fresh fruit salad appeared to be just a glass of apple and pear slices.

Good value for money but a few improvements could make it outstanding, e.g. the starters could be presented in a more creative & attractive way as could the sauces. The roast potatoes need to be golden brown & crispy so that they match the freshness of the other vegetables.

Been here a few times before - on this occasion quite poor... No communication via staff that they bring soup to you as usually able to help yourself.. No mention of hot dessert, no children's cutlery... It was not busy at all & still took ages to remove finished plates! And drinks very much over priced!!! Only came as we fancied a carvery & our local Toby have a wait... Wished I waited now.... Won't be returning!

Had booked a table for 2.15pm but when we arrived our table was still occupied. As a result we did not sit down until 3pm. Staff very friendly and did apologise for the wait. I surpose it is the temptation of the all you can eat buffet!!! We had booked for Father's Day and the 2 dads in our party enjoyed their free pint of beer on offer to all dads that day. Food was lovely and excellent value for money. Constantly topping up the buffet so everything was available and in plenty supply. All in all we had a smashing time.
