Very pleasant - thank you
Disappointed not to ha e been offered the child’s menu for our 4 year old.
Good location, helpful staff, menu gave enough interesting vegetarian options for those that needed it
The service was incredibly slow - not the staff's fault but there were not enough people on duty - penny pinching by management I assume. The food was OK but did not merit the price. The whole of the nice room had been hired out to a private party so the table and ambience were not nice. Allin all, fairly poor value and not enjoyable. Staff were very friendly, so I do stress it was not their fault.
Very nice hospitality, the waiters were very polite - great service. Thank you.
Excellent light lunch and wine in a casual environment with a friend. Good location.
Very good - Thank you
The dining area is lovely and the service was impeccable, but with the exception of pizza (which was nice) the food was horrendous. The battered fish was mostly batter and had clumps of uncooked goo and my so-called salt beef sandwich was not cooked fresh, but one thin slice of deli meat which was dried out and hard and the bread was so over toasted, it scraped my mouth. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Food was good but it was extremely noisy thanks to hard floors and 2 very large groups right next to out table - we had to shout to hear each other. I'm sure it would be a lot better atmosphere on a quieter night.
Very nice. Thank you
One of the best bottomless brunches I've had in London. Excellent service!
I booked table for 17:45 on Sunday, however when I arrived - the restaurant was closed! Unacceptable!!!
Bad food and awful service - would definitely not recommend the place
Very pleasant service combined with refined food.
very good - delicious sea bass and mussels, service attentive
Very nice - esp. the booth seating. Thank you
Ive been to the restaurant before a long time ago and that was good. This time though we ate in the cafe which has a different menu. The calamari didnt seem fresh, and the main courses, were just a little dry. Service and atmosphere was very nice though
We had a lovely afternoon at Villandry as a gift for my mother in law. Food was fantastic, prosecco was topped up better than any brunch I have been to and the staff were lovely. My only frustration is that I asked to be moved to a booth (we were seated right in the center of the restaurant) which the waiter told me we’re all fully booked and I ‘should have booked in advance as the tables were all due to arrive at midday’ - the same as our booking. Given that I booked three months earlier and specifically asked as it was a special occasion to have a booth seat and the table didn’t arrive until over an hour later I didn’t feel he maintained the high level of customer care as the rest of the staff did- who were all genuinely wonderful. Needless to say we had a good time.
the food and service was great. I was surprised it was so quiet on a Friday evening
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Villandry. Met for brunch and was impressed with the menu. We were also offered a prosecco / all you can eat type option, but went for the a la carte menu - which didn't disappoint. Staff were attentive but in no way pushy. Will be happy to return on another day.
Good food good service adequate ambience for business lunch but rather pricey.
Excellent as ever- thank you
Open table had booked us for the wrong thing. We explained to waitress we were here for brunch. They immediately brought us the correct menu and were very friendly about it dispute it not really due to start til 11.30am
very disappointed as booked restaurant and they only offered the cafe. food was ordinary.
Cloyingly sweet onion soup, steaks not cooked as requested. My last visit to Villandr
Nice food and good service in comfortable surroundings. Would definitely go back for more.
Thanks Villandry. It's always a bit noisy in the more relaxed seating area but I do prefer it to the more formal eating area. A great salad for me and soup for my colleague. Helpful staff, thanks a lot.
Good meal nothing exceptional for the price was a business expense. Bottled water ridiculously overpriced, plenty of choice in that part of London for similar budget
Has Villandry Great Portland Street changed ownership. It used to be great. Now its a cross between Cote and Giraffe. Whats happened ?
I happened to have two meals there in the last two weeks, the first the chicken came up cold, I sent it back and the second one also came up cold - I ate it as I didn’t want to make a fuss. The second time last week - I went for a burger - no cheese but with a soft fried egg. Burger came with cheese - no egg.
I sent it back at it came out right the second time - but of course for the second week running my guest ate his meal first.
Get your act together guys - portions and presentation have also declined - are we looking at another liquidation on the cards?
Arrived and the person at reception didn’t find our booking even though we had booked the table on that same morning. He wasn’t intending to do anything to accommodate us and claimed it was an open table fault to continue to take same day bookings when they didn’t take them into account. We finally got seated thanks to another waiter who was more helpful but we got put to the back of the restaurant (not the cafe as initially booked) where we were surrounded by various groups of loud hen parties. Food was very average and so was the service. Will not visit again.
I have always had great food here. The service can be a bit touch and go but never bad. Great for working breakfasts and round tables and booths
We had an excellent lunch with very good service. It was slightly noisy for comfortable conversation but that was probably because there were lots of groups having Christmas lunch.
Menu fairly limited on the brasserie side. Often poor service. Took half an hour just to get the menus. Food always fresh and salads are nice though
Very poor experience. Slow service, Sunday roast was not good, one main came out 1( mins after the others. Not impressed
As good as ever - very dependable and nice, helpful staff
Great location, food, service and ambience. We had a wonderful time.
Just a bit too pricy for bottomless brunch.
staff were very attentive and made good suggestions with drinks to pair with food and although we were last in restaurant for a long time, they didn't rush us out
Villandry is a popular place for lunch. Service is brisk and friendly, the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming. This is not a cheap option and the food quality reflects this fact. The food is well presented and tasty although portions are not generous. However, this is just the way thigs are in central London.
Extensive brunch menu. Food was great if not spectacular. Service impeccable, especially important with a 6 month old in tow.
