Served by bored and uninterested waitress who bordered on plain rude. Very slow service. Food was average. Pancakes drenched in syrup to the point in being inedible. Other brunch items of the standard to a sloppy cafe. Certainly not worth the money. Avoid.

Lovely food. Really nice staff. Especially as I was taken ill suddenly at end of meal, they were very kind and helpful.
Illness was no fault of the restaurant, most likely just the heat, I was fine the next day.
Will definitely visit again.

Fantastic service, Ramona the manager made sure we had a very enjoyable experience and will return. The prosecco is free flowing and the dessert platter is the perfect size. Would highly recommend.

This was my third visit and I loved it. They have the best brunch menu with breakfast and lunch choices and the waiters top your prosecco glass up very frequently! The service is great. Also, I love that it’s three courses as you feel it is good value for money and like a proper meal. One tip-lose the blue macaroon! :o)

Disappointing service, it was as if we were not really important......half empty restaurant, not too surprised. I'd blame the management - no one seemed to be in charge......shame since the food was excellent.

I visited Villandry for the second time in two weeks. On both occasions the food was delicious. The duck salad was excellent as a starter or a main course. Both fish dishes were very well cooked. The ambience is very pleasant, we sat in comfortable red leather banquettes, and the service was attentive but not stifling. The position of the restaurant is well located for theatres and cinemas in a lovely part of London. They often do special offers which makes the prices attractive, and I will definitely be going again.

Been here a few times, so decided to go with the Salt Beef Sandwich. Unfortunately there’s way too much bread, not enough filling and it’s all very dry. Will stick to their classic dishes in the future.

A tasty pre-theatre meal that was well presented and offered a good choice of options. Our table was in the window and had plenty of room. The service was quick but there was no pressure to hurry our meal and we were able to linger over coffee until the right moment to leave for our theatre which was just round the corner. A warm and pleasant venue for a cold winter's evening.

The £25 Sunday menu was terrible value for money. A stake almond croissant, a tiny fish cake and a small desserts. The main course which didn’t come with with anything else was too small given there was no starter.

The worst part was the service. The waiter simply placed a giant plate of 4 croissants on my place setting meaning we had to serve ourselves, the incorrect knives were given, and overall everything was very rushed.

This is even more inexcusable given the restaurant was mostly empty at the time.

We arrived early and our table wasn’t ready. Walked around the block for a bit. Returned to find a table ready although not what I requested (corner table as I was with a toddler and needed to be away from busy people as much as possible) another one was fortunately available however my initial thoughts from the first entry was it was super noisy. We enjoyed our meal, (cold blt) but the prosecco was flowing easily, though when the waiters changed I had to ask for a top up as the guy before had always topped our glasses before they reached the half mark. Pleasant afternoon catching up with friends and great service.

As soon as we walk through the front door, we were greeted with a strong smell of fish. After sitting down, we ordered drinks and food. To start I ordered Salt and pepper squid, and a main of fillet steak ‘Medium rare’ with chips.

Upon receiving my squid to start, I ate the first piece and thought, where’s the squid? The whole course was over cooked in the deep fat fryer, the squid had almost disappeared and was replaced with a crispy bland batter. It was sent back with no replacement.

For main, the fillet steak arrived and once I cut it in half, the fillet was ‘well done’. As a medium rare fan, eating a well done steak does not go well, and so I again sent it back to get a fresh medium rare steak. The chip also were lovingly treated in the deep fat fryer and were extra crispy with more crisp inside, no potato.

The atmosphere for a Saturday night was disappointing, with no background music or piano playing, and very little other customers. Restaurant was also freezing cold with no heating on, and a very blustery draft at the windows.

Overall a very disappointing visit and would not return.

Very convenient for the Haymarket theatres. The pre-theatre set menu is very good value and there are bargains to be found in the wine list. The food is well cooked and presented and the service pleasant and unobtrusive.

OK food, although not quite the standard I'm accustomed to having been a regular customer at Villandry Great Portland St. Service was slow even with a half empty restaurant. It seemed they might not have had enough staff for Saturday brunch. We weren't given sugar with our coffee (had to ask the manager for that), a fruit juice was only brought to the table towards the end of the main course after staff were reminded of the order, and it took ages to pay (we had to ask the manager). Individually these aren't a huge deal, but collectively they made the occasion a bit frustrating.

Went here for dinner; good location with a lovely ambience and attentive staff however we felt the quality of food didn't match the prices that were being charged and portion sizes were on the tight side. Will perhaps try for breakfast/lunch to see if better.

Fitted the bill for a fairly informal business lunch. Gazpacho and sea bream were both decent, my colleague enjoyed the fishcake. Over £80 for a dry 2-course lunch seems quite steep (with side dishes/fries, without coffee) but I'll go again - pretty quiet (less than 1/3 full) on a Friday in mid July.

This is the sort of the place you could relax and enjoy the occasion. Because you know
everything is going to be not just OK but more than average.
I would particulary recommend this restaurant for good quiet conversation to grownups.
And moreover food is always good and reasonally priced.
Excellent location and easy access to the public transportation as well.

Meeting some friends for supper before the theatre. The pre-theatre menu was good value and the food was fine - the sea trout especially. Service could have been a bit more attentive given they knew we had a deadline. Consequently dessert was a bit of a rush and not as enjoyable as it might have been. Nonetheless we had an agreeable meal and got to the theatre in time.
