Loved the food. Every bite was an experience. The cocktails were delicious as well.
Wonderful place! Will go again.
Best lunch in the Village. Fresh, yummy food, and great ambience.
This place is a knock out. It works on all levels. Gorgeous room, great food, excellent staff. And it's an interestingly different menu. I look forward to returning and making my way through the menu.
Great food and service. Overall wonderful dining experience.
Amazing service and food! Brussels sprouts was delicious with really high quality of ingredients and the Pork belly was fantastic with honey gastrique on Swiss chard. Will definitely came back with other guest. I will say that Villanelle’s is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal with your loved ones.
Villanelle is a quiet place with very good quality of food. Waiter is very friendly and helpful. We had brunch there. Food was fresh and nicely prepared. It is a little pricey though.
Cute, creative, and veggie-forward spot!
Beautiful, quaint spot with unique cocktails and dishes, I felt right at home.
Innovative but very questionable flavor combinations. Watermelon and oysters just shouldn’t go together
Super food in a wonderful location. So delicious! Chicken was fantastic. Panna Cotta with preaches was spectacular. Nice wine list. Not too many choices, but everything is delicious.
Excellent inventive food and attentive and thoughtful service. Very accommodating to modify dishes for gluten-free dietary restriction.
We shared the watermelon/grilled oyster and the dandelion and burrata salads to start. The former was light and fresh tasting on a hot summer night and the latter was delicious and savory. We then had grilled octopus, one of the best renditions of that I’ve tasted and the cavatelli. We thought we may have under-ordered when the latter dishes came out due the sizes, but were more than satisfied.
We finished with a couple of grilled peach and yogurt pana cottas, a perfect ending to the meal.
Always have a good time and good meal there
Had a fabulous meal at Villanelle. The summery watermelon/oyster appetizer was unexpectedly refreshing and tasty. Love the duck dumplings. So flavorful. Our server was terrific, answered all of our questions and suggested some great wines for our dishes. My husband loves the cocktails here. This place is a gem. Go!
Service was really horrible. We had six people and they kept bringing out five pieces, didn’t listen to our questions or inform us on the size of the dishes even when we asked.
Had a wonderful meal at Villanelle- amazing asparagus and scallops. The service is very attentive and the restaurant is quiet enough that conversation does not take an effort. It is a gem.
Gem of a restaurant. Great food brilliantly prepared and presented. Delightful helpful staff. Lovely setting. Just oerdexr
The food was delicious and creative, the service interested, helpful and warm. It was a lovely dining experience.
Lovely restaurant. My only recommendation is that there would be a larger selection of entrees with more vegetarian selections because I have many vegetarian friends whom I can’t take to your restaurant. Respectfully, Janet Damon
The food is so good - subtle, fresh, flavorful and real - certainly one of the best in the Greenwich Village/Union Square area (and that's saying a lot!)
Great service in an nice setting. Food was presented elegantly but unfortunately a bit bland.
Love Villanelle! Great good, drinks and service!
Perfect for a conversation with a friend at lunch over multiple delicious salads.
Wonderful brunch place. Food and cocktails were amazing and the Staff was so accommodating and attentive. It was the perfect restaurant to celebrate the new season of Killing Eve!
Villanelle never disappoints. Terrific staff. Attentive and friendly. The menu changes seasonally and always has inventive and delicious options. Last meal was with my two teenagers who loved it as well. Highly recommend the octopus main dish, Brussels Sprouts app and I loved the venison. Tender and flavorful. Portions are moderately sized but an incredible value for how well done everything is.
Had such a wonderful dining experience at Villanelle! Loved their food concepts and their use of local ingredients made it that much better. Would highly recommend to anyone
The staff is exceptionally welcoming and attentive. The space is well appointed but spare and attractive. The menu is smaller but changes seasonally and is always varied enough for everyone to find a delicious meal. I’ve gone there twice for brunch and once for dinner and each time enjoyed the meal immensely. Brunch wise I can recommend the eggs Benedict with duck confit. The Brussel Sprouts hash was excellent as well. They also have a great selection of specialty teas and cocktails. Prices are super value for what you get.
Haven't been to this restaurant since its previous incarnation as Marquet. The remodel is lovely and the food was terrific. Staff couldn't be nice. We will be back again!
The menu is interesting, the cocktails are great, the food is good, the ambience is really nice.
Uncommonly delicious food here. The service, drinks and atmosphere are also lovely. A real gem.
We had a wonderful evening at Villanelle. The food is elevated - beautifully presented and delicious flavors. The venison was among the best I've had and the wine selection by the glass was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere is both elegant and casual. An overall truly enjoyable dinner.
Nice place with friendly service, good food and a well thought out wine list.
This was our third time to dine at Villanelle, with second time being Thanksgiving, which we were very happy with. We ordered pretty much the same as what we ordered the first time. Beet tartare was excellent. Butternut squash, however was about half the portion compared to the first time. Yet, the price was the same. Crispy octopus was very good. However, it was mostly broccoli and we had maybe 5 small pieces of octopus, not even amounting to one whole leg. Again, The portion was smaller than before. At this point, we felt cheated. My cod was ok, nothing special. Service is excellent. But, with so many amazing restaurants in NYC with similar price range, we are not planning to return for some time.
The ambience and service was wonderful, wine was great, but honestly food was really odd.. the menu did not describe items very well and it was a weird collection of items. The restaurant is great for a class of wine at the bar but wouldn’t recommend for the food.
It’s been up and down at Villanelle. We’ve had some truly outstanding meals and some which have been just so-so. Tonight, unfortunately, more the latter than the former. Perhaps next time we’ll be back to outstanding.
Farm to table was extremely good. Drinks were excellent and the service was very good.
Waiter was fantastic so through and knowledgeable. Food was outstanding as always. Hidden gem. Love this place. We will be back
This is a lovely place near Union Square to grab lunch. Way above average food with pleasant and quick service in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
My wife and I were visiting Manhattan during the week of Christmas and we couldn't be happier to have dined at Villanelle! Our server was extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional. The food was superb and made with fresh ingredients. We loved every single detail about the restaurant -- the ambiance, the interior design, and even the simple yet elegant tableware. Everything was amazing.
The food and drinks were excellent! The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. They were able to make great recommendations and suggest perfect wine pairings for each course. The macerated brussel sprouts were delicious! It’s also a very simple space with very attractive lighting and the noise level was low which allowed for good conversation. A real winner in the neighborhood!
