We are a family owned and operated country pub located in the heart of North East Victoria. Our pub offers contemporary Australian & Sri Lankan/Indian cuisine, in a charming atmosphere. Enjoy cocktails while dining alfresco during the lazy summer months, Or get cosy by the fire in winter. We pride ourselves on quality ingredients & stock local wines, spirits & soft drinks. Our staff are experienced & passionate about the industry. The Vine Hotel Wangaratta's history goes back to 1864 when the original licence was granted for the existing site. The present day building dates from around the 1880s and the bricks for the hotel were made on site from clay on the property.

    You could go no further to have a lovely lunch in a beautiful setting Everything was great from the food to the service and the ambiance of the place . It is our favourite go to pub in the nth east . Love it .

    The dining room was quiet, despite the adjoining room being full of people. Our greeting was colourful efficient by "front -of- house" Schooners were quick & cold Curry was tender. It could have done with a condiment such as minted yoghurt. Surrounded by antiques and tasteful collections ( including "Glomesh") & a cosy fire, it was a perfect dinner for travellers.

    Fantastic food again!!! We had friends over from Mansfield for dinner and The Vine didn't disappoint! One of the secrets of the North East so Shhh ..... don't tell anyone!

    The Vine Hotel never disappoints ..Set with charm and history. A wonderful under cover veranda and lovely gardens are the perfect settings for parties and gatherings of your choice .The staff are warm and friendly and very family oriented makes for a very comfortable experience...The food never disappoints made by great friendly chefs served by friendly staff.. I would highly recommend.. Come have a nice meal or a cold beer or wine and experience the friendliness of the wonderful country pub ..

    Historical Pub with brilliant atmosphere. Wonderful local history re past owners. Brilliant to not have music overriding conversation, no TAB and no major focus on TV viewing. Beer Garden superb and will definitely visit again.

    First time visiting so I expected Thursday night to be busier but it was very quiet which was nice. Food was very good and staff were very friendly. I’m not sure the name of the lady working but she engaged in conversation and was very nice

    Food was very disappointing this time last time was lovely this time only 1 out of 4 meals was nice. Wouldn't recommend seafood, terrible quality. Staff lovely, lovely place, I think the chef had a bad night.

    Great place , excellent food , staff very friendly , service was great we where there on a Wednesday night , approximately 50 other dinners , waiting time for meals was well above expectation , meal and drink prices are very reasonable , we sat inside due to the rain but the outside dinning area would be great during the warmer months although there are heaters for the the cooler months Would recommend to any one

    What a beautiful place with the greatest of staff. It's out off town but the best pub you can go to. Full of nostalgia there is nothing not to love. Weather 1 or a group of 100 this is the place to go

    Very nice meal in a clean and comfortable dining area. On this occasion it was not busy so very quiet and although very close to freeway access very little passing traffic. Would definitely recommend the Vine hotel.
