Groups & Private Hire
Vintry Izakaya is available to be hired privately, with an extensive selection of Asian sharing dishes and a fully stocked cocktail bar it is able to accommodate up to 100 people for standing receptions and 60 for seated meals, using the restaurants’ existing setup.
The inside is beautiful - difficult to find as its in the back of the hotel with no signage but very cute and trendy. However, that's the best you're gonna get. The food is subpar - the ramen was not bone broth and the noodle were clearly cheap package noodles. The service was nice but slow. This place had so much potential as a unique business lunch spot but it failed.
I have previously dined here for lunch and found the food delightful. There was a new menu so decided to try it, the chef must be new as my fish was undercooked twice. The staff were apologetic and let us have the meal for free.
Very quiet on a Saturday afternoon and only the smaller brunch menu available. Also no cocktails as the ice machine was broken. The food quality was very good.
For most of our brunch, we were the only people there but the service level was that of a fully booked restaurant. The staff had no knowledge on the menu and what things were. We asked what the Asian Bloody Mary was, the waiter had no idea and said to us it was called that because it was an asian themed restaurant... not helpful and most probably incorrect - he didnt even attempt to find out.
The food was below average. The vegan breakfast stated it came with fried potatoes but what was on the plate was a hash brown you can buy from the freezer section in the supermarket. The steamed bun Benedict was underwhelming, the hollandaise had a gross skin on the top and the bacon was basic supermarket quality.
After the plates were cleared we were left for over an hour. No attempt to offer extra drinks or dessert we eventually had to go to the counter where 5 members of staff and someone in a suit which I assume was the manager (who scarpered as soon as I showed up at the counter) were all milling around chatting. I had to ask again for the card machine as apparently they werent told I had been given the bill.
Beautiful decor, but not worth the journey at all - left hungry and disappointed.
Positive note, the bathrooms are lovely.
Lovely restaurant with very kind service. We had our Christmasdiner at Vintry Izakaya. For us (being Dutch-inhabitants) the price was high (£200 for 3 persons, 3 course meal, 2 coca cola, 2 bottles of mineral water and 2 lagers), but the food and service was definitely worth it.
Great location and food. Everything fantastic. A very good Christmas lunch
Took more than one hour to deliver 3 bento boxes.
Only 5 items on the whole menu.
Really poor show.
Advertised as Asian tapas its actually a choice of three bento boxes, which is not the same. No ability to mix and match between the three boxes even though we were a party of 6. .
Food was distinctly average.
Service useless. Even when standing at the bar we had to wave to get the barman to stop chatting and serve us.
Margaritas not well made, Bacardi unavailable. Weird nasty brand of tonic water . No Schweppes or fever tree. Place was more or less empty, when the rest of City restaurants in December are packed - that perhaps explains everything. Shame as Asian tapas would be a good concept .
We would not return.
I decided to dine at Vintry Izakaya as the venue and the menu sounded interesting.
Firstly the positives, it's a beautiful restaurant and hotel. The public areas are small but tastefully decorated.
Our drinks were really good and came quickly.
The negatives, the lunch service was painfully slow. We were pretty much the only guests for lunch with another arriving an hour after us.
The food we received whilst filling was lukewarm, we didnt mention it as we were hungry and had already waited over 30 minutes. By the time the bento boxes arrived it was well over the hour mark. To their credit they did package up a main to go but the desserts took ages to arrive which was strange as they were cold desserts! (we did think at one point that they might of forgotten to send the order through! They did however remove the desserts from the final bill)
One of my guests was inconvenienced and missed some appointments. It's doubtful she'd recommend the izakaya or the hotel to her corporate clients/executive network.
To summarise it's hard to recommend the vintry izakaya for lunch service as it currently stands. The food just takes too long to arrive. My aim was to be in and out within 90 minutes but it took nearly 2.5 hours. The restaurant has around 70 covers but struggled with 7 guests over 2 tables, I can only imagine what it would be like if it was full. :))
Excellent and creative food with attentive service.
It was very quiet as we where the only dinners at that time.
Excellent Service, will definitely come again.
Nice food very delicate and well presented, all taste amazing!
We would recommend for anyone who work nearby for business lunch or entertainment.
Great inventive food some unusual dishes shame it’s not a bit busier
When we arrived the room had not been fully laid up, there were no bar or waiting staff and the restaurant looked closed. We were redirected by the Dorman to the restaurant on the rooftop and then sent back down again. This time there were staff. Sadly they appeared extremely disinterested in having any customers, tried to direct us to a dingy table near the entrance and made no apologies for the poor start to our evening. As a result we decided to cut our losses and went instead to the ever reliable Caravan instead.
Great shame because the menu sounded very interesting and the reviews we read had been good. Note to manager – never underestimate the importance of first impressions!
Dining on a Sunday evening we found ourselves the only diners, however, this didn't matter as we found every else excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. We didn't really know what we we're ordering being new to Fusion Asian Tapas, and had we known 'Sandos' meant sandwich, 2 of our choices may have been different. However, we also chose a Wasabi dressed Caesar Salad which was delicious and happily served 2. Just enough kick of Wasabi to make it hot and interesting. The spicy toasted Prawn sandwiches were filling and delicious too, but my favourite was the Shredded Beef Arancini. A good size rice ball and 3 in total. We found the whole meal extremely tasty and excellent value for money. We washed this down with the best house white wine we've ever tasted. Highly recommended. We'll be back.
You just don’t really need to book as VERY quiet when we went. But everything is perfect and so so good 😍
Outstanding service.restaurant deco is super nice. The food was also very good and not expensive at all.id recomend this place to everyone
Waiters were very friendly and welcoming. It worths definitely trying it.
Excellent full english!
A bit hard to find and one dish needed to be re done but nice environment and good coffee
Excellent dinner at Vintry kitchen, highly recommend this restaurant. All the dishes were outstanding. The highlight was the miso aubergine which is the best aubergine I’ve had in London.
Vintry was fab - quiet in the kitchen so good conversation - food tapas style to die for - no bad dish and we ordered a lot! Downstairs cocktail bar quirky and fun - drinks great! Will be back.
Our first time with Asian style 'tapas', and we didn't know how much to order, so we rather overdid it. The peanut chicken dish and the jasmine rice were both very nice, and the bream was very well cooked. The deserts were wonderful. The wine recommended by our server was delicious.
Great small bites that fill you up, accompanied by a lovely ambience makes a perfect night out!
I took my Mum for a Mothers Day Lunch on Saturday it was absolutely perfect it was a sunny day and we were able to Sit outside on the Roof Terrace
The food was amazing, we started with Cauliflower soup and a mixture of delishious bread the Guinness bread was particularly good, I followed it with The Roast Beef and a giant Yorkshire Pudding with Hasselback Potatoes, vegetables and a gravely that was so tasty, my mum had the fish pie both were very tasty and well seasoned,
The waiting staff were charming and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome
As the hotel is new, there were not many bookings, so we were the only patrons in the restaurant and therefore it was quite bleak. We had at least 4 different members of staff serving us, who all took their time in taking our orders. The menu and food were ok, but nothing to write home about.
Great views. Menu is standard for price and presentation of some dishes too fussy.
Vintry has a lot of good qualities but the ambience is too bright and the menu a bit too adventurous for my taste
Ambience and service were amazing. Improvement on the food is vital to attract customers. Majority of the food were too salty and have provided feedback to the waiter. Hope food is improved before the our next visit.
Vintry Kitchen is a pleasant change from most hotel restaurants in that it offers Asian (predominantly Japanese) style tapas plates, perfect for a quick bite as well as some larger dishes. If you like Asian/Japanese food and are happy to try something a little bit different, Vintry Kitchen is well worth trying.
Really lovely hotel. The design and decor is gorgeous and it is a welcome change from the usual stuffy city hotels
Food was great but service was very slow, especially given the restaurant has just opened so was not busy. Great ambience though.
