Vivo Italian Kitchen
We were a party of 10 for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. Our guests had a long drive home and it took them an hour after our salad to bring our dinner. It was a long wait and the food was dried out. They did not offer anything off the bill or free dessert for the birthday. We eat here a lot on Sunday afternoons after church but our experience on a Saturday night was terrible.
Spent most of the night hearing the bar tender and someone else (I believe the owner) argue about work. Was annoying to have to hear that when we are out for a special occasion
overall some of the best Italian food that i have found in the greater Lehigh Valley area. the food was very good. there were food options for children as well which is a much for me. service was fantastic. i can't wait to go back.
Wonderful Italian food! Marissa our waitress, was wonderful! Going back this weekend!
Food was exceptional! Great service too. Girls night out!
Outstanding from start to finish
Terrific food and terrific service. They are very flexible with the menu and accommodated changes without any hesitation.
We love the food at Vivo and stop in there frequently. Was just there with my daughter and granddaughter. Restaurant is kid friendly with a nice selection on the kids menu. Ordered mac and cheese for my granddaughter which was a good size portion and delicious. She loved it. The menu has a broad selection of choices. Everything we have ordered has been great including the pizza. Service is great and the prices are reasonable. Portions are large and the food is delicious. Worth a visit...
Third time there. Food was exceptional as it was previous two times. It’s a fairly plain dining room and wide open. It can get noisy at times depending on crowd size. But we don’t go for the ambience necessarily. Service was timely and with no down time. Some of the prices are high IMO. But if the food quality remains consistent I will pay it.
Vivo is a great neighborhood gem. We love the food and the service. We've been there enough times now that the waitstaff recognizes us and gives us an additional touch of welcome. We love their calamari. Only wish they would forget about the fried peppers and just give us a pile of calamari. My husband had the portabello risotto - one of his favorites - and I had chicken piccata. Delicious. And the Caesar salads are always fresh and well dressed. We'll be back!
Stopped over for appetizers soup and salad love their lemon basil house dressing - Italian wedding soup is delicious - can’t go wrong here from light fare to full blown meals everything is good - staff was light that night and they ended up with a bigger crowd but I thought they handled it really well - we were not in a rush , hostess and bartender made sure everyone was taken care of an apologized for the delay - which we thought really wasn’t that long -
Food is always delicious - from light fare to full blown meals excellent - good wine selection and delicious cocktails especially if you like bourbon
Excellent meal, excellent service as usual. Have been here numerous times and never have had an issue. This is our go-to...
The meals were absolutely wonderful. We travel an hour each way to come here. The meals are made from scratch. I would highly recommend!
The food is very good here, the waitstaff are pleasant. I wish the clams casino were traditional, as the stuffed ones are a little "heavy". Be prepared for a slow paced dinner, so not a place to go if you are in a rush.
Vivo is our go-to Italian restaurant! We love this place. Usually it’s very loud with patrons enjoying themselves but this time it was a welcome surprise that not many booked a reservation so we reaped the benefit of being able to hear each other without having to strain. Thank you again for a great experience.
Vivo is always one of our favorites. We both tried something new - for us. If a dish is good, we just keep ordering that each time because it's a given of goodness. But this time I tried a dish that had chicken, mozzarella, pasta and tomato sauce. It was good but not as good as my usual chicken Francese. I thought the sauce was a little too harsh as if it had too much paste in it. I would have liked it better with a light marinara sauce. And my husband had Eggs in Purgatory. It was pepparadelle pasta with tomato meat sauce and two poached eggs. It was good but the eggs were overpowered by the meat sauce. So our exploration wasn't as successful as hoped. But we will try more new things in the future because most of what they serve is yummy. The servers and hostess are great. It's a warm friendly neighborhood restaurant you just want to go back to again and again.
Shrimp limoncello is fantastic. The best margherita pizza. Chris is the best server. Attentive and professional.
Some of the entrees were outstanding. A few of us asked for light sauce and the entree was still swimming in sauce, especially the pasta portion. The waitperson was very nice, but salads came before some of the beverages (a wine and a Manhattan). I had a white wine, and the pour was very stingy, especially for the price. My daughter had a wine—her pour was better, but it was still $12.00! There were 6 of us (one children’s meals, no appetizers, no desserts, and the bill was $150.00 without tip. My husband and I would definitely give restaurant another try-just wanted to provide feedback.
We visited twice in one week (and brought people with us on second visit) because we were so impressed with our first visit! Everything about our experience was phenomenal!! The atmosphere, service, and menu was excellent. And the food...cooked to perfection, flavors unbelievable, presentation wonderful!!! We can’t wait to go back!!
This is a nice classic Italian-American restaurant. Traditional menu with traditional Italian-American cooking style (good sized portions, lots of sauce). Party of five, so we had a good variety of dishes and they were uniformly well liked. And our server was excellent: attentive, unrushed, accurate. Pricing is slightly higher than at some similar places, but not significantly. I'm not sure how to give 3 and a half stars, but that's what I would have done. It's better than ordinary good, but not as good as very good suggests. But a nice place for families and friends to have an Italian dinner out.
Always enjoy dinner at Vivo. Nice menu and great service. Our male waiter has served us before and he is terrific.
This place is the best kept secret in the valley.
Try this restaurant.
You will NOT be sorry you did.
Food was delicious, though crab Mac n cheese could have a bit more flavor... Everything else was amazing! It was a bit on the crowded noisy side as far as ambiance goes though the downstairs area may be quieter. We sat upstairs. Overall a very good experience though. Great night out!
Service was prompt and attentive. Food was delicious and plentiful. Will definitely return!
It was great as usual
The restaurant was warm and welcoming from the inside and out. The menu had a wide selection as well as several specials of the day. Our waitress took our order quickly. We were given time to enjoy our wine, bread and salad. Then the main course was delivered piping hot and delicious. Jennifer, our waitress was very pleasant and great.
Amazing food, great service always. My family enjoyed and loved the food.
Sat at the bar and the staff were outstanding.. food was genuinely good! In fact very good and service which is my thing was outstanding
Great food, excellent service. Noise level was low (we were there on a Monday night).
Highly recommend The Sinatra!
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Vivo Italian Kitchen recently. We had called for a reservation so there was no wait to be seated. Our waitress, Kayla, was very pleasant and almost immediately we had our water, wine and bread with dipping oil. We both ordered salads with our meal and they were fresh and crispy. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my husband had the veal Sinatra. Potions are generous without being overwhelming. We also shared a slice of cheesecake with our coffee and were glad we just had one slice which was more than enough for 2 people. We will definitely be returning to Vivo and bringing our friends!
Nice selection of flavorful, healthy food and exceptional service.
I went on Sunday of MDW with my parents to celebrate my father's birthday. It was a great evening! The service was almost as great as the food!!!
Talk about a find. We were in Bethlehem with extended family for a college graduation. Our son suggested looking outside of the immediate area for a place to celebrate. We found Vivo. The people here could not be nicer. We were an hour late because the graduation ran long. No problem, even for our big party. The service was outstanding. Luke was our waiter. The food was outstanding, each dish better than the previous one. No one rushed us. In fact, we had to ask for the check. I'm just sorry we didn't find Vivo before our son graduated. We'll just have to find an excuse to go there again. Thank you all.
Best lasagna in the Valley!
Our waiter was amazing !!! The food was great. A little loud, but clean and friendly staff! Good times!
This is our favorite local Italian restaurant and I always recommend to friends! It's easy to get to from anywhere in the Lehigh Valley - the food and drinks are terrific, the service is great (ask for Madison when you reserve!) and the decor is modern and comfy. Enjoy!!
