The 60 cover restaurant offers delicious drinks and traditional classics 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - which makes it perfect for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner...at anytime of the day.
There is a stunning bar plus extra seating outside to enjoy a bit of Al Fresco in the summer months...and maybe taste one of the many delicious cocktails or smoothies!
There are three other sites in London – Chelsea, Bloomsbury and Notting Hill - so you're never very far away from a VQ.
An awesome time to chill, dine and have a great time! Excellence! Brilliance!
Nice location, nice interiors.
Food was decent, (portions slightly small)
Service was poor, rude waitress and got our order wrong.
But overall I’d go again, maybe to another branch.
We had a great burger here very convenient as we were staying in the hotel. Friendly service and nice ambiance would happily return.
Good choice - all day breakfast. Ok value for money. Decent service and ambience.
Always a great dining experience at VQ. Staff very helpful, professional and quick and food is delicious
Bacon was good, although the rest of the meal and service left much to be desired. They had gf bread but don't think I would eat there again
Very disappointed, the soup was awful and the service was very slow. Wouldn't be quick to recommend.
The seabass had no flavor and was rubbery but costed almost £16. When I asked if I could change it for another dish they said no it was supposed to taste like that.
Very good food at an affordable rate and excellent service from Kone, the waiter. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.
Went here for breakfast. Nice comfortable booths and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, eggs were cooked perfectly. Only thing letting it down is the disorganised service, after half an hour I had to flag down a server to come and take our order, then 10 minutes later our designated server came to ask us if we wanted to order yet... It wasn't busy, it's a small dining space and there were 3 people serving so it really shouldn't have taken that long.
The fact that its open 24 hours is a win, the food is good and the pricing is good along with the variety ( I love a place that does all day breakfast) Great place and Great menu
The burgers were a disgrace given the high price tag. you really have to step up your game. There were packs of beer left in the main room next to the kitchen.
Great for a quick lunch, like the booths can talk privately. Food was good especially the smoked trout &mackerel salad and the Barnsley chop. Very local to the office so is always good option for a last minute lunch.
The food was very good but a notable discord between the staff and management was evident. Considering that it was just after the London fireworks in the early hours of New Years Day, the waiting staff were insufficient in number to cope with the demands of a full restaurant and the pressure they were under could easily have been alleviated by the management having two more members of waiting staff on shift for that period. It isn't difficult to predict that as one of the few restaurants open in London at that time of the morning on New Years Day , that it will be very busy. Our waiter tried his best to provide a good service but the odds were against him given the situation . Others around us were impatient due to the wait for pre- booked tables and to have their orders taken.
The security guard on the entrance was thorough but lacked social skills and manners and did not give a positive impression of VQ.
Second New Years Eve visit to this venue but we won't be doing it next New Years Eve. Maybe OK when less busy but wouldn't recommend for New Years Day morning.
A good find near to City Travelodge in an area of London I don’t know. There was plenty of space, though I had booked, Friendly greeting and shown to a table straight away. Asked if I wanted a drink, and if I wanted water, tap or bottled. The glass of Prosecco arrived promptly, together with the water. The waiter asked if I was ready to order, and took the order. I went for Scottish Salmon starter and Barnsley Chop as main. Starter arrived quickly and was accompanied by toast and capers. Good quantity of quality salmon, capers added a bit of lift to the dish. The Chop was pink, but tasty and tender, with a lot of mash, and a little too much gravy. A glass of Italian red was good and complemented the Chop nicely. Unfortunately no cheese board, and I don’t eat sweet desserts, so can’t comment on that course. The atmosphere was fine, I was dining alone, so the highish ambient noise from piped music was not a problem. Service was attentive, without being intrusive. The wine list is adequate, with several ‘by the glass’ options, and well priced. I would visit again if staying nearby, but wouldn’t make a journey across town for the meal.
quick and friendly service and good GF options including substituting sandwiches with GF bread etc
Waited 45 minutes for a drink. Nobody took our food order so we asked for the bill and left. Terrible service!
Very convenient for the City. Spacious. Numerous options
Overall this restaurant was alright, the customer service was great and the atmosphere was chilled. Only let down was that my partner ribs were burnt.
Lovely lunch, great atmosphere, Shame about the annoying little fruit flies
It was OK, but I was expecting better. The service was badly coordinated, such that we had to ask for coffee twice, which is a big deal at breakfast.
The restaurant , made me have a good birthday meal with my friends. The scenery was amazing and the atmosphere was very friendly.
The food was lovely and the staff was very accommodating. My friend and I ordered several small plates, sides and 24 hour breakfast dishes to share and did not order any mains, and the staff had no problem with it. The food is affordable as well as delicious. The place has a lovely vibe to it, great for any time and occasion. We will definitely be going back to eat here!
The service and food were excellent. We were asked when we would like our food to be served, so we weren't rushed.
We ate here after a theatre visit and because we were staying at the hotel. Service was prompt. Menu not especially extensive but food was delicious. Only problem we encountered was it took three attempts to find a nut and sesame seed free option for my niece who has allergies to these products. Overall a pleasant experience.
Took a couple of colleagues out for breakfast, food was good especially the pancakes. The eggs benedict was okay, the hollandaise sauce was the element that dragged the overall rating down, the sauce was a bit gloopy.
If you're feeling hungry in the middle of the night, VQ is probably the best place to go as its open 24/7
Really nice to sit outside with good food and drinks. Late night venue and open all hours.
I love the 24 hour breakfast! It's fantastic value and rest of the menu is wonderful too. Cheap and cheerful place in a hotel right next to Aldgate Station. Easy to get home after the meal. Perfect.
Was very good !
Cocktails were nice
Food was nice
Service was average
But was over priced
Another great experience, definitely recommend and will go again!
Mother’s Day meal.
Very hospitable and polite staff. Great ambience and cosy. Overall a very nice dinning experience. Thanks
I had a veggie breakfast even though I ordered a small the portion was very small a child portion and I when I got home and looked at the menu because I was planning to come again I realised they had left out the toasted muffin in my meal.
Very good food and nice casual atmosphere and local
In desperate need of a proper meal after most places had shut and found VQ by chance on internet search. Food plentiful, excellent quality (best steak in many a year according to my wife) and given location and it’s 24hr operation reasonably priced. Only thing that let it down was the service.
I was very impressed by the service delivered right from the door all the way until the very end. The food was great, great sized portions ( you’re really getting what you’ve payed for). Great pricing too, very affordable. Comfortable sitting areas, loved the booth layout of the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant too. Will definitely be going back!
Good food, but service is slow, had to chase to order drinks and then food.
2 people opted for the set menu and things were fine with them but we were rather disappointed as having all chosen our meals, the 2 main courses not from the set menu were delivered to our table before we had received the shared starter ordered. The main dishes were taken away, the starter was delivered and then the main dishes were put back on the table. We pointed put that they would be cold by the time we had eaten the starter and eventually they were removed to be kept hot by the kitchen.
We all then opted for pancakes - 3 wanting them with sugar and lemon and 1 opting for the apple/cinnamon addition. When these were served the were cold and very little lemon juice on. We asked for additional lemon and we were served lemon pieces which we were pleased with. The young woman who served us was pleasant and good natured but didn't really seem to understand our various requests which had to be repeated at least once.
We also found the music to be quite loud which meant easy conversation was a bit difficult but that may be dues to the age of the 4 of us.
Overall, and despite these matters, we were not rushed to vacate our table and the cost of the meal was acceptable. Not sure we'd recommend this venue to anyone else though!
Good food and ticked all the boxes for a business breakfast. Could have perhaps done with better quality Salmon.
From the moment we walked in the service and help was excellent and really warm. Place was buzzing at lunch and will visit again. Food was great and enjoyed their recommendations. Haloumi fries and the unoaked Chardonnay were very good..couldn’t fault it.
