The 60 cover restaurant offers delicious drinks and traditional classics 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - which makes it perfect for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner...at anytime of the day.
There is a stunning bar plus extra seating outside to enjoy a bit of Al Fresco in the summer months...and maybe taste one of the many delicious cocktails or smoothies!
There are three other sites in London – Chelsea, Bloomsbury and Notting Hill - so you're never very far away from a VQ.
Poached eggs were really nice- portion looks small of the poached eggs on avocado toast but is actually very filling . Lovely selection of drinks including iced mocha and latte.
Good Full English Breakfast!
Great experience! Staff was polite and friendly. Food was yum!!
Great food, great atmosphere. Extortionate price for a glass of soda water.
Great last minute booking for breakfast. Delicious food and great service.
My Ribs were cold they was not warm when approaching the bone.
Good food , the waitresses needs training, both of them. I sat down and it took her 10 mins to come over and take my order and she was just standing around. Clients come in, they want to order something, its not hard and you were not even busy !
The food was good however. Place let down by the staff.
For the first time , I had a terrible experience from arrival till departure. Waiters were very abrupt,my table was given to someone else when I went to use the bathroom despite me letting the waiter no in advance. The food was very average and cold.Waiters didn’t attend to our terrible until we repeatedly asked... Terrible experience altogether and I won’t be visiting again.
Restaurant in Dorsett hotel. Very nice mains and starter, slightly let down by desert, but they did take one dessert off the bill.
At £104 for 3 it is not that inexpensive but it was one of the nicer meals we had during our London visit.
Very good food and varied menu and nice staff as well
Very polite and efficient service. We went at midnight and we were treated as if it was daytime. Perfect! Food was impeccable.
We arrived early for our booking which was no problem. We were served promptly and our food came quickly. The fishcakes were delicious and very filling. I would come back. They also allowed us to go up to the rooftop bar despite being early for our reservation.
Food was fantastic value and we all agreed that our individual meals were lovely. The other meals that came out to other diners all looked delicious with generous portions. A member of our party ordered a glass of wine that tasted funny and they changed it to a different wine without fuss or charge.
Slight mark down on a couple of things - They were not aware of the Aldgate card and if they even accepted it (even though we checked the card's website which listed them). The manager came over to check and said they didn't accept it... he did however very generously give us the discount on this occasion.
They also watch 2 of our table struggle with their coats and bags for a while and then scramble into the booth with them all and THEN asked to take our coats afterwards which meant more scrambling.
Overall though, not a whole load to faults and will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu which won't be breaking the bank whilst not sacrificing on quality.
Nice good, great service. Weird that the toilets are on the first floor!
Went here to have breakfast at lunchtime and myself and my friend thoroughly enjoyed them.
She had the full English and I had the poached eggs with spinach on a muffin with no hollandaise - eggs were cooked perfectly!
A great place to each with some outside seats that were in the sunshine.
Only 2 comments:
1 - It would have been nice to have been offered some water
2 - We had a discount card but didn't know we could have used it so perhaps either the staff could ask if we have one or that there is a notice of which buildings in the area get the discount.
Would I go back? DEFINITELY and have already booked for 2 more lunches!
We went for a goodbye lunch with a close friend/colleague and it was great. Staff were lovely and super accommodating. The food was tasty and more than reasonably priced. We had a great time and will definitely go back again.
The food is always good if served a little slowly. The waitress didn't appear to be in a very good mood! We will return but please smile and make us feel welcome!!
Perfect place for lunch/dinner to catch up with friends & family.
While it looked like a diner- but in a fancy hotel- we were surprised with absolutely delicious salads and food. It was good because I was coming home to Brooklyn the next day, and it felt more American than any other place in London. We had made reservations but did not need them. ALso it's open 24 hours!
Very good and easy experience. We came late but they still kept the table for us. The ambience was nice and cordial. I had a client.
Good food, if a little expensive, service could be quicker
The Oreo milkshake is impeccable - would recommend it for sure
Lunchtime service was okay. I ordered steak and eggs which wasn’t filling and quite expensive in my eyes.
An awesome time to chill, dine and have a great time! Excellence! Brilliance!
Nice location, nice interiors.
Food was decent, (portions slightly small)
Service was poor, rude waitress and got our order wrong.
But overall I’d go again, maybe to another branch.
We had a great burger here very convenient as we were staying in the hotel. Friendly service and nice ambiance would happily return.
Good choice - all day breakfast. Ok value for money. Decent service and ambience.
Always a great dining experience at VQ. Staff very helpful, professional and quick and food is delicious
Bacon was good, although the rest of the meal and service left much to be desired. They had gf bread but don't think I would eat there again
Very disappointed, the soup was awful and the service was very slow. Wouldn't be quick to recommend.
The seabass had no flavor and was rubbery but costed almost £16. When I asked if I could change it for another dish they said no it was supposed to taste like that.
Very good food at an affordable rate and excellent service from Kone, the waiter. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.
Went here for breakfast. Nice comfortable booths and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, eggs were cooked perfectly. Only thing letting it down is the disorganised service, after half an hour I had to flag down a server to come and take our order, then 10 minutes later our designated server came to ask us if we wanted to order yet... It wasn't busy, it's a small dining space and there were 3 people serving so it really shouldn't have taken that long.
The fact that its open 24 hours is a win, the food is good and the pricing is good along with the variety ( I love a place that does all day breakfast) Great place and Great menu
The burgers were a disgrace given the high price tag. you really have to step up your game. There were packs of beer left in the main room next to the kitchen.
Great for a quick lunch, like the booths can talk privately. Food was good especially the smoked trout &mackerel salad and the Barnsley chop. Very local to the office so is always good option for a last minute lunch.
The food was very good but a notable discord between the staff and management was evident. Considering that it was just after the London fireworks in the early hours of New Years Day, the waiting staff were insufficient in number to cope with the demands of a full restaurant and the pressure they were under could easily have been alleviated by the management having two more members of waiting staff on shift for that period. It isn't difficult to predict that as one of the few restaurants open in London at that time of the morning on New Years Day , that it will be very busy. Our waiter tried his best to provide a good service but the odds were against him given the situation . Others around us were impatient due to the wait for pre- booked tables and to have their orders taken.
The security guard on the entrance was thorough but lacked social skills and manners and did not give a positive impression of VQ.
Second New Years Eve visit to this venue but we won't be doing it next New Years Eve. Maybe OK when less busy but wouldn't recommend for New Years Day morning.
A good find near to City Travelodge in an area of London I don’t know. There was plenty of space, though I had booked, Friendly greeting and shown to a table straight away. Asked if I wanted a drink, and if I wanted water, tap or bottled. The glass of Prosecco arrived promptly, together with the water. The waiter asked if I was ready to order, and took the order. I went for Scottish Salmon starter and Barnsley Chop as main. Starter arrived quickly and was accompanied by toast and capers. Good quantity of quality salmon, capers added a bit of lift to the dish. The Chop was pink, but tasty and tender, with a lot of mash, and a little too much gravy. A glass of Italian red was good and complemented the Chop nicely. Unfortunately no cheese board, and I don’t eat sweet desserts, so can’t comment on that course. The atmosphere was fine, I was dining alone, so the highish ambient noise from piped music was not a problem. Service was attentive, without being intrusive. The wine list is adequate, with several ‘by the glass’ options, and well priced. I would visit again if staying nearby, but wouldn’t make a journey across town for the meal.
quick and friendly service and good GF options including substituting sandwiches with GF bread etc
