Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. 50 minutes after being seated we were able to get someone to take our order. Half our drinks never arrived despite ordering them multiple times, same with a lot of the food. We didn't even get cutlery until 10 minutes after our food arrived. They even had the audacity to argue with us about paying the service charge! Food was ok but unfortunately the service left everyone in a bad mood. Would never return.
Great food, full vegan menu along side their al a carte. Cobra beer on tap. Plenty heat in their dishes, would go again.
Food was amazing! Prawn Malabar was absolutely unreal.
Food was superb. Would highly recommend.
We’ve been to this restaurant several times and always had a wonderful meal. The food is beautifully presented and offers delicious Indian food that is different to the mainstream Indian restaurants. So tasty!
Had a lovely evening, it was lovely to see the kitchen while dining and the waiter/manager was training 2 people and was doing an amazing job of coaching
Must do for any Indian food lover , place is thriving , food is exceptional
Decent food but poor service. Saturday nights could be busy and noisy though. Overall experience was not as good as what we have had in the past.
Food always good ,nice relaxing restaurant ,and the test of a good restaurant is would you go back there ,and the answer is we have and we will.
Absolutely outstanding meal from poppadoms to the mix platter and we shared a chicken butter curry and a spinich curry 2 nann breads bottle of red wine and a cobra £75
Food was very good, different menu to a standard Indian restaurant.Definitely go again
Really amazing food, the appetisers were very full of flavour and the staff brought them out incredibly quickly. The only downside to the evening was that the wait from appetiser to main was just under two hours, but that being said as soon as we asked the staff if they knew how long it would be, within twenty minutes it was brought out and once again full of flavour. I'm sure the delay was just an anomaly as the restaurant itself and takeaway orders seemed very busy so we will be coming back another time time try and again. Definitely worth a visit!
Food took too long to arrive, staff seemed more interested in take way than in house dinners.
Great to find this place, lovely food & we’ll be back
We had a fantastic meal. The food was very tasty - the best Indian food we’ve eaten in a very long time. Service was excellent and the menu extremely reasonably priced. If we return to Manchester, we would definitely eat here again.
We found this little place on open table, even though e hadnt heard of it the reviews looked good so we gave it a try. OMG i am so glad we did the food i amazing, we have told anyone that will listen how good it is and i cant wait to go back. We had the lamb shank and that special sauce was delicious.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great tabla music, open kitchen serving fantastic food. I have eaten in many Indian restaurants in the Uk and in India and can say this was the best I have ever tasted! I would be a regular customer if it wasn’t 3.5 hours from my home.
Amazing food and service, would recommend. 100% going Again!
Really enjoyed our meal, staff were super friendly and the food was lovely
Fantastic food as always
The food was delicious freshly made, you can see the chef cooking in the open kitchen, the restaurant had nice decor but quit small, the service was quit slow due to the first day opening for people to sit inside and the restaurant being full, I would definitely go again.
Was really busy but they still booked out tables. We booked a 20:15 table and got seated at 21:00. Also the table we were sat at had a previous customers drink on it. I would recommend if they managed better as food was nice.
Very good and happy with the price/quality
Food was lovely, service was good, we would definitely go back and eat there again.
Food was amazing staff very helpful would recommend crnt wait to go back!
Was very quiet as we were there on a Monday evening just before going into the tier 3 restrictions. The food was a step up from normal Indian fare. Had dishes we had never heard of before! Service was superb. Will definitely be going back to try some of the other dishes.
We went for the first time and couldn’t fault a single thing. The service and the food was excellent
I booked a reservation for 7pm and arrived 5 minuets early. I stood at the door for 10 whole minuets before anyone greeted me - both manager and wait staff walked past me several times and didn’t even think to give me a menu. The couple behind me also had a reservation which meant that we were both missed our slots by 20 minuets by the time we were actually seated. I understand that it’s a busy time, but when you allow customers to make reservations then you have to ensure that there is enough turn around time. Once seated, my order wasn’t taken until 7:45pm. Luckily I had no other plans for the evening. The food was averagely priced but the portions were very small. The drinks arrived fairly quickly but the food didn’t come until at 8:15pm - at this point, I had been in the restaurant for over an hour and still hadn’t eaten. We ended up chatting to our 3 nearest tables who were also complaining about how slow the service was. The food did taste good but we all agreed that we wouldn’t return due to the lack of care and attention. The staff were not rude, but could have been more attentive. Once we had finished eating, no one came to collect our plates or ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. The night ended with the waitress giving us our bill and telling us to go to the nearest cash machine because the card reader doesn’t work. Such a shame about the experience because the food was generally okay.
Amazing food !! Best in Manchester. Service was excellent
Took my sister out for a surprise bday 🎉. Enjoyed everything about Wah Ji Wah. Great food, decor, service (despite the fact that there was only one waiting staff).
Had sharing platter - chicken and fish tickled the pallette most
Gosht Banjara - hits the right spots of you like spices
Amachur kaaju karela - what a delight - who knew bitter gourd can be so delicious
....and fab proper tandoor roti - dhaaba style
Authentic Indian cuisine so a must try...
Food lived up to the reviews. Great starter of mashed potatoes stuffed with dates and with yogurt and chutney. Both had lamb main courses which were very tender and very flavourful. Naans amazingly light. Thoroughly recommend
When ordering starters I ordered Onion Bhajis one of which was ice cold.
We also asked for a jug of water when the waiter was taking the drinks orders which they completely forgot about and had to ask for again when the mains were served.
When the mains were served they had forgotten to give us any plates or cutlery.
Everyone of us ordered a chicken dish which was not cooked properly was extremely chewy.
We booked a table at this restaurant based on the high ratings and good reviews it has but was left completely disappointed.
The food was 1st rate - wasn't particularly happy with being charged a service charge on the bill. It was only a party of 3, so don't understand the need. Surely a tip is a personal choice? We weren't given an option which is wrong.
Another delicious meal as always, and service was great
It was a nice experience there. The restaurant is not very big, so if you want to have a meal there, I woul recommend booking a table before hand.
Been here many times. The food is always outstanding and of authentic Indian quality. Always fresh and decent portion sizes and would put it up there with one of the best in Manchester. Poor and slow service tends to be a theme and this should be addressed to ensure customers come back. Need more attentive waiters who actually know how to serve guests, deliver food and drink timely and improve the experience.
We have been here now 5 times and every time the food never fails. It's always hot and tastes fresh.
We took our friends and they absolutely loved it as well. Got to be the best authentic Indian restaurant in Manchester in my opinion.
We first placed the order and then they said that the whole section ‘special dishes’ wasn’t available as it was going to take too long to serve, which was weird as we already had our starters when they came to us with this feedback. I then ordered a standard curry, but the lamb was still very pink and bloody in the middle. The door was wide open and it was quite chilly in there too. It is usually a good place to eat, but this ‘eat out scheme’ has definitely impacted both quality and service.
Lovely food! Lovely staff! Lovely place! Would highly recommend as an avid eater of Indian Food. Spicy (the server asked if we liked it spicy) lamb dish was tender and flavoursome, really good! Will be back. 5 star
Really nice and tasty food, all very fresh. Missed the typical onions on the popadoms but other than that spot on!
