Great service and fantastic food on top of really good music.
Lovely, well cooked food and excellent service, would certainly visit again and recommend others do
Delicious food freshly cooked some different choices than usual friendly staff and good atmosphere a bit querky old school decor enjoyed a lovely evening would definitely recommend to friends or family 😊
Amazing service, very accommodating with wheelchair. Lovely staff, clean and restrictions in place and being followed.
Food was delicious and served in great time.
Will be visiting again soon!
Excellent fresh food in lovely quaint place. Great service too. I have food allergies and the staff really looked after me
Lovely place. Chilled music and nice atmosphere. Good delicious and a great find!
Pleasant enough, but not really welcoming. Given a naff table by the toilet didn't whinge because of distancing.
Starters and dessert good, but main of slow cooked lamb unnecessarily complex with far too many flavours on the plate and, to my mind not enough sauce.
Great location, excellent food and the service was outstanding.
Absolutely lovely fresh cooked food served on hot plates (really important in my opinion), great service from lovely staff and I’ve already booked two tables for when I’m next in Conwy in a few weeks.
This is a gem of a bistro excellent service fine yet substantial food excellent array of local beers. Our number one place to eat in Conwy congratulations and keep it up
Inventive and tasty dishes using local ingredients - pricing is on the higher side for the area, but we considered it good value given the quality of the food.
We decided to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary here whilst on holiday. Oh my, what a treat!!! The food was absolutely scrumptious. The pudding was divine. I'm so glad we don't live anywhere near this place - we'd be absolutely keeping slimming world in business as we'd definitely eat here all the time. I had a goats cheese and tomato salad to start. Sheer creaminess with a hit of tartness from the juicy tomatoes - beautiful to look at too. For mains I had beef that literally feel apart when touched (never had anything like it) with crispy chunky chips and something beetrooty which cut through the melt in the mouth beef butter/fat. It came with carrots and crispy kale. An absolute fabulous combination of flavours and textures. The dessert was incredible... Sticky toffee pudding with marmalade and home made ice-cream with plenty of toffee sauce, again a scrumptious combination of textures and flavours. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. I couldn't fault our visit, and if we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely go back. I booked on line, which was so simple and straightforward. All in all a very pleasant experience.
We had early bird. Great value and friendly staff. We could not eat our dessert as was too full. Staff gave us doggy bags to take home to have later. Cannot fault the food! Second time here and will definitely be back. Must book early as always full house!
Great quality food, friendly attentive service. We had a great evening.
The only reason I gave a moderate for noise level was because of two children this however was not a as they were just exited and soon
Everything else 5 star.
Great food as always, coping very well with the current restrictions
We have been to Watson's several times and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is welcoming and food is excellent and we felt quite comfortable with the current layout being mindful of circumstances.
One of the best restaurants we’ve ever visited. Amazing food in both visits and will definitely return
Nothing special, quite pricey, interesting menu but the food disappointing in both flavours and presentation. Food overcooked and dry, desserts very good though. Both starters and mains lacked flavour and sauce.
We visited Conwy for our first wedding anniversary. We booked our evening meal at Watson’s Bistro as it was a special occasion. The restaurant was tucked away on its own. It had a lovely outside terraced area for a drink before our meal. It had a nice atmosphere and was lovely for a romantic meal. A bit pricey but great for a special occasion. The food was excellent and the service was good.
As always the quality of the food was excellent. Service never too intrusive and they can answer all questions about the food. Having only just reopened the ambience not as lively but this was to be expected.
Good choice for some quality food, nice concise menu.
Absolutely delicious. Can't find fault anywhere. Staff lovely, food delicious and allowed dogs when sitting outside. Was a perfect birthday meal.
Wonderful food, and excellent service. A great experience on a sunny summer evening in Conwy.
Due to COVID 19 the staff were very professional and attentive, good value for money. The best compliment we can give I would eat there again
Excellent. Will visit again. Lovely restaurant and ambience
Opening night after lockdown. Off their game after so long but I’m sure they will be back to their usual standards before too long. A bit disappointing this time.
A lovely meal, three courses early dining special. Enjoyed goats cheese and beetroot and ham hock starters. Mains chicken, stuffed with ham and ox cheek both were very good. Finally already full but still managed sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Good job we had a long walk home.
Fantastic food. Beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. All staff were very welcoming.
Don’t be put off by the exterior of the restaurant. I can not recommend it highly enough.
Great food. Good service! Not cheap! We were sat on a small table for 2!!! The restaurant was empty! Not sure what was going on as only 2 other tables came in!!!
Very good food. Staff very friendly. Little expensive but don’t mind paying for quality.
Always have a very good experience. Food is excellent and service is friendly.
Umpteenth visit to one of our "treat" eateries and already booked for 41 days time - not that I'm counting - as ever the food, wine, ambiance and team were faultless. We completely forgot about storm Dennis raging outside, instead the conversation revolved around the food, the wine and previous visits. Excellent restaurants are built on foundations of quality local ingredients and consistency, both of which you have in spades at Watson's. Add the imagination and flair of an obviously talented crew backstage and you have a real gem of a place. See you in 40.1/2 days! Nom, nom, nom.
It's the second time we've had a meal at Watson's and just like the first time everything was just as good. From the moment you walk in the staff are so friendly and attentive which gives you a great feeling of importance for your experience. Fantastic food with great service to match is very hard to find nowadays but Watson's have found the perfect ingredient for both...
Good food, friendly service, no complaints. Went for Early Bird so very good value. Both enjoyed our starters (goats cheese, blood pudding) and both had the special - sea bass with red onion bhadji and lemon rice - delicious!
We went for the early bird as my wife fancied the ox cheek. We thought portions would be reduced, but no hint of it. For £23.50 it was fantastic value. All three courses were excellent in taste and presentation. Our wine choice was a SA pinotage rose as I had chicken, and she had the cheek. A snip at £16 and excellent too. It was all served with ease, we were able to chat to the waitresses, no hurry, no stress. Just lovely. Thank you.
Excellent service, food and wine.
What more can you ask for!
Excellent quality food. Excellent service. Highly recommended. A must if staying in Conwy
Food was absolutely fabulous but my husband was given the fish dish when he ordered the ox cheek. The waitress gave him a look as if it was his fault and was not very pleasant. It made us feel quite uncomfortable. On bringing back his correct order she apologised "but with attitude".
