                                                                      We’ve been many times over the years. Didn’t like the menu changes and feel that the rises in prices are extreme. There were no pudding options for our allergy child and no one came to ask how our food was or ask if we wanted any more drinks etc either!

                                                                      Over priced, bland meat-feast pizza. Dry chips. Shockingly bad gluten-free pizza. Sent back once as cold in the middle then the 2nd pizza was inedible, like cardboard, hard and tasteless. Don't waste your money. Staff were friendly but didn't care about the quality of the food or our experience. No one acknowledged us when we left. I got the impression this place is just a money spinner, founded on the huge number of passing tourists, lack of places to eat in Watergate Bay and its proximity to the beach. They don't need repeat business. Overall overpriced for beige tasteless frozen food.

                                                                      Met up with friends for a walk at Watergate Bay followed by lunch at Wax- very friendly efficient staff, lovely food and nice atmosphere- worth booking a table during school holidays. Very dog friendly- we will be back! Highly recommend a visit

                                                                      Fabulous place for dinner stayed in the bay for 7 days and ate here 4 times!! Great value and the katsu loaded fries were amazing - really friendly staff and lovely chilled atmosphere minutes from the beach 👍👍

Was also told we would be able to watch the sunset (which is why we booked it) but cannot see from the restaurant. Queued for ages at the bar to order food. No atmosphere. Food was very goid.

                                                                      We regularly visit Wax when staying in the area ..first time been here since the revamp..no longer serving St Austell ales ..Sharps instead..ordered 2 chicken burgers that took a long while ..and really quite disappointing..chicken was dry, not enough sauce or guacamole (as listed), served on smallish rectangular plates ..so chips etc disappeared over the edge! V expensive now for what you get ..much better places more locally ..a great shame as used to be really good 😬

                                                                      Food had no seasoning. Pizza was sooo thin that it it could hold any toppings. Staff didn’t tell us we had to order at the bar Staff didn’t do any table checks Overpriced for what it was. Watergate Hotel is cheaper with a nicer atmosphere.

                                                                      The whole place needs updating; tired furnishings and grubby appearance, not to mention the cleanliness of the surroundings. The food is overpriced for the quality of produce.......I guess because it is near the beach and not a great choice of restaurants. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone!

                                                                      We took advantage of the 50% offer to take the dog away from the proximity of the firework display at NQY sports centre. Very good value and the food was great. However we waited ages to be asked if we wanted a drink and I actually went to the bar thinking it was still order there! Strange concept to ‘take a photo’ of the menu before sitting down snd can hardly read it on my phone. Husband finished his beer but had to ask for another … never offered. Plates so small and chicken burger so big had to dismantle it onto a napkin. Just little things to consider but as locals who recommend restaurants regularly need to be really on it in this competitive market. Manager very friendly and nice touch bringing the dog a bowl of water but staff need a bit more training.
