Been coming since the inception 10 years ago!! was never that loud,I realize you had 70 or 80 guys there
for a sports gathering, but would have been nice to know in advance, 6 of us could not even hear what the other was saying! was a birthday gift for my husband,paid for by our kids. could not joke or reminisce
about them growing up. only 11 women in the whole place and 3 were with us! kids were disappointed.

We had a great steak dinner . We love this place
Filet was cooked perfectly and could cut with a fork. Stuffed mushrooms appetizer was delicious. Onion rings and salad were complimentary and so good. Creamed spinach and German potato’s perfect sides. Even stayed for cheesecake afterwards! Would definitely go again!
Although the service was good and the atmosphere ok in this BYOB steakhouse. I was disappointed with the meal. The Ceasar salad for two was mostly iceberg lettuce with a very garlic flavored dressing and tiny bits of tomato. The rib eye steak was ok but extra fatty. The sea bass special was bland.The side of broccoli had too much garlic and was mushy. Finally, I was very surprised this steakhouse does not have a pepper mill.
Our party of four was very impressed with the service and food not rushed at all great food and service we will be back
My new favorite steakhouse. Received food fairly quickly, though had to look for our server many times. Definitely going to come back.
When the restaurant opened neither the men's room nor the ladies room had toilet paper . One of the wait staff had sent somebody out to a store to buy it . The ladies room smelled sour, like the mop wasn't clean. It smelled pretty bad. The service, and there were only two if us in there. We had to ask for napkins...it wasn't a good experience. I would have mentioned all of this to a manager but there didn't seem to be one.

Carnivores Only, need apply, well they do off other options, but go for the steak! Great Service, great food and bustling. Not the best place for a quiet romantic get together as it is a bit loud, but go for the steak! Glad to see it growing. BYOB keeps is below NYC steakhouses so it is a bargain to boot.

intense atmosphere on a Saturday night we have been here so many times we don't need to open the menu had our usual two bone in rib eye since we do not like our steak cooked the same way the complimentary salad and onion rings were as expected sides were garlic mashed and an enormous portion of broccoli rabe my wife's steak was under cooked even though she ordered it Pittsburgh style (seared) passed on dessert what we didn't finish was packed to go still the best steak in the area
BYO makes it an even better choice since you cannot buy the wine we bring in any restaurant in NJ

A gathering of old dear friends, the place was near empty but the food was outstanding!
Never had a bad meal at Wayne Steakhouse. We ordered the filet mignon. We were each glad to take half home as leftovers. Just as good the second day. Even though it is a bit expensive, remember it is a BYO.

I have to say - if you want a well executed steak with interesting family sides coupled with the convenience & affordability of BYOB dining then Wayne Steakhouse is your place. However, my wife and I won’t be back. Hopefully, our service experience was a one off, because it was off handed and careless turning us off for future visits. Upon a arriving in the tiredly appointed dining room, our waiter promptly greeted us and took our order of two salads, porterhouse for two and a group of sides. We waited for what seemed like forever watching several appetizers and salads travel to adjacent tables most of whom ordered after us. Finally, waiters arrived but with our main course. When asked about our salads the 1st comment was, “I don’t know what happened back there.” We were offered belated salad which we refused. One of the waiters said maybe we can do something at dessert. As I said above our main course and accompaniments were fine. After we finished, the waiter asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, we said,”Sure. “ The waiter returned soon - but with our check - c’mon! The waiters appear to have no short term memory. Silently, we paid and had dessert at DQ.

Went to restaurant and there was a notice at the door that it was closed. While I fully understand last minute closures, I would expect a call or email. Very disappointed in a place I hold in high regard
It really hurts me to write this review. For several years this was my favorite restaurant. I do not know exactly what happened lately but there was a stark difference from what I was used to. The service was terrible.The waiter was so busy B S ing at other table that it took several minutes after our steaks arrived for a side dish and a sauce we requested to be delivered.
The price of the steaks go up constantly. Which was always ok with me as the steaks were the best I've tasted in NJ. But as the $ went up the size and quality went down.
Unhappily there was no one to complain to: no owner was present, and no manager that I could see. The waiters were running back and forth answering the telephone, taking orders, and dealing with a kitchen that seemed to run amok.
I'm hoping the owner(s)read this review and still care enough to make the necessary changes by reverting back to the outstanding ways the place was run the first few years.
Service and atmosphere were great. I wasn’t thrilled about the steak. Nothing special.
We’ve been to Wayne Steakhouse several times over the last several years. They prepare their steaks/filet mignons as we ask for them - medium rare + a little. I like that the meat is only lightly seasoned with salt and pepper - they get that right every time go rme. They’ve changed their lobster bisque recipe (can’t quite put my finger on what was different - but something wasn’t as good as the last time). The house salad and onion rings are as good as ever. They’ve also changed their jumbo lump crab cake recipe from the last time we visited about six months ago. It has tomato chunks in it, but we couldn’t figure out why, as it didn’t add anything (or - to be fair - detract from the crab c1ke). I do like the light sear and bit of crunchy outside of the crab cake and that there isn’t a ton of breading as a binder. They get that right every time. We asked to have the Dijon mustard sauce on the side and that was a good choice.
Overall - a good restaurant that we’ll return to.

Party size discrimination in effect here. We were only a party of 2 and they forgot to get us water, had to ask 3 times. Calamari was overcooked. Service was sparse. Waiter only cared about his 2 large party's. Never coming back
Father’s Day - so very busy abd
My husband and I both had a filet. The meat was as tender as butter and the leftovers were just as good! Especially nice that it is a BYO. Staff was very attentive. Always a special treat to eat here. OpenTable reservations are great.
My wife and I had a nice time on our 28th
It was Mother's Day and it was hectic. They experience this every Saturday night. very crowded. My daughter did not want salad and ordered a soup instead. The soup did not come out when the salad did. The waiter finally came back to the table and asked if she had the soup. Our response was NO. He said he would go and check came back 10 minutes later said it was very crowded in the kitchen and asked if she wanted anyway, because our main course was being served. It came time for dessert my daughter who did not get her soup ordered pecan pie before she ordered they explained they were out of one dessert not the one she ordered. Again, 10 minutes the waiter came back to the table and said they were out of pecan pie. Very disappointed both times. We waited a while for my other daughter's ice cream and waited for a cup of coffee. Twenty minutes dessert and coffee came. Coffee was not a full cup just half. Not going back there for a long time and will not recommend. We were frequent visitors to this restaurant and always took friends because it used to be very good.
Normally we love this place and save it for special occasions due to the price point. We made a reservation for Mother’s Day and were very disappointed to be seated right next to the door (on a 45 degree day). It was a terrible table. We asked to switch but they said they held this table of 4 because of our reservation and nothing else was available to us. Well, a table of 6 sat empty the whole time we were there and we watched other tables of 4 seated after us. I get that someone needs to take the crappy table but if I had known when making the reservation I would have gone somewhere else. Food was good but the table and being right next to the door with the cold blowing in and people bumping into us be standing right next to our table ruined it for us. Too expensive of a place to have to deal with that. Not in any rush to go back. Too bad. Have celebrated a lot of special occasions here.
There was nothing wrong with the food or service at Wayne Steakhouse, it was just so much more expensive than it should be. There are so many steakhouses that serve the same quality food at 1/3 the price.

Bread was served but there were no bread plates. When we asked the busboy for bread plates, he brought over dinner plates. The busboy needs better training. The food was excellent.
