Afternoon tea with fizz. Very attentive and quick service. Nice view from window of putting green.
Had a lovely afternoon tea and looked after very well. Thank you
Excellent lunch in lovely surroundings
with first rate service. Thank you to
Luke, Amy and colleagues.
Good ambience in an attractive room, table linen pristine and food good. Luke and waitress very attentive.
A great experience overall. Normally I wouldn’t have high expectations of a sports club- based restaurant such as this but it was really good. Excellent service, quality food, decent wine, and a lovely airy room setting. Tiny quibble - would have liked more sauce for my steak, and a bit more heat in the peppercorn flavour. But a minor issue in what was a very enjoyable evening.
Made welcome on arrival shown to our table in a quite part of the restaurant, the afternoon tea was really nice could not get through it so had a box to take away what remained. Will book again.
Wonderful building and surrounding decor and tables laid out beautifully a real treat we had a full cream tea for myy sisters 60th.
Both enjoyed ourselves.
Staff lovely and friendly would definitely come again and recommend to friends.
Ideal evening out with lovely food and great singer - Chris Thomas.
If you have plenty time
Lovely meal and atmosphere and great service from Luke and Bernardo.
Excellent venue to take our visitors! Pleasant views and comfortable relaxed restaurant. Exceptional service from our Spanish waiter fromBarcelona!
Absolutely lovely experience, most of all made by the wonderful staff. I believe it was Sue who took care of us and was fantastic. Also two lovely waiters who were also fabulous. Beautiful house/grounds to eat in. Scones in the afternoon tea were amazing. Would highly recommend and would go again. Again, the staff were outstanding. Thank you.
Luckily, we we were sat next to an open door so there was a lovely breeze.
Had to wait a while for our food, even though I had chosen in advance. But we were not in a hurry, so this did not matter.
Terrific lunch. Generous portions and extremely tasty. Service was impeccable. Overall a most enjoyable experience. We shall return!
Really lovely food in a quiet environment. Would come again!
We very much enjoyed our lunch in a safe and cool restaurant. Great service from Paulina and colleagues.
The view was awesome!
I feel comfortable there, their service was great. Lovely eating out.
We went for Afternoon Tea at Exeter Golf and Country Club, it was a treat for my 90 year old Mum and my sister and niece who were visiting from Essex. The tea was nice but we would have preferred more sandwiches and less cake. But it was easy for my mum who struggles with her mobility
Excellent venue for meeting friends for traditional afternoon tea in Exeter
A lovely meal and great service from Paulina. Thank you.
We opted for the Afternoon tea which was lovely. Wide selection of sandwiches to choose from and arrived with a variety of cakes.
Choice of teas (herbal as well as Earl Grey) hot chocolate or a cold drink. Very good value for money. Lovely afternoon.
There were no vegan options on the menu apart from a miso burger which was incredibly salty and disgusting. I wouldn’t return again unless they catered for more dietary requirements
As usual, service, dining and value for money were outstanding.
The salmon dish was particularly good today.
Lunch was very good value. Served with a smile. Fixed price for three courses but with a good choice and excellent value wines available by the glass.
I was very disappointed in the service on Monday when I visited with my family for a cream tea .
The head waitress was not happy at all !
Spoiled our experience
A real shame as we were going to book for a two course lunch !
Nothing was explained and I was bluntly told to stand by the pose in when I arrived !
A younger waitress asked if we had been told what was on our plates , we sai no so she very kindly told us , no communication from the waitress that served us at all . I presume she is head waitress as dressed in black ?
Very dissatisfied customer
A Sunday lunch for a three generation family group. Aged 5 to 74. The five year old has a limited diet and staff were very willing to bring him some sausages from the Sports Bar kitchen.
Good food. Well presented dishes. Helpful staff.
We enjoyed our time together in a relaxed atmosphere.
Great service from Paulina and Luke.
We visited for afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The servers are friendly and they make sure to check for dietary requirements. The food was of great quality and very tasty. All in all, a great day was had.
We were very disappointed as we didn't get a macaron with our full afternoon tea and could see all other tables did 😔 the food was lovely but that did let it down. There wasn't any staff about so we couldn't ask for this and nothing was mentioned.
Food excellent. Lovely setting. Fab service. Covid safe and very enjoyable. Definitely visit again soon. Table next to us had afternoon tea that looked amazing as well.
Excellent lunch in great atmosphere. We were made very welcome and had great service from Paulina and Amy. Thank you.
Amazing lunch. Great service and value for money. The dishes were incredible. Will definitely be eating here again soon.
A lovely setting, pleasantly quiet and unrushed service.
The food was delicious and staff were amazing. Our only comment is that the food didn't come out very hot and seemed like it may have been sat for a little while. If everything was piping hot it would have been 5*
The food was just excellent & the staff so attentive, nothing was too much trouble & I would highly recommend.
Lovely staff (Suey I think!)
Nice afternoon tea with good selection of cakes etc. Sandwich fillings could be a little more exciting though!
Excellent lunch, atmosphere and service. Thank you Luke and colleagues.
As usual, location, service, dining and value for money excellent.
Ideal lunch venue in quiet surroundings. Will book again for a cream tea!
I took my mom here for a treat but my mom is Vegan and has a few allergies which can make things difficult. We went here for afternoon tea and all my moms doetary requirements were not a problem and the food we had was delicous.
I really couldn't fault it. When we arrived we were the first people in for lunch service. We had a nice table by a door with view of outside. The dining room was set up nicely and nice calm setting
