Turned up and was asked to wait a while which was no problem but a while turned into too long. After the server had finished with the till she asked if we could wait a while long and she went off to take an order which meant she need to leave that table to ask the kitchen questions. All we needed was to be sat down with menus. After 10 mins of waiting to be seated we left. Won’t be back.

Pretty perfect to be honest. Nick was great as he was welcoming from the minute we walked in. Honest about the food and drink and made our son's birthday great. Treated him like a little prince that he is. Thanks

Went on a quiet Monday evening, found the ambiance and staff pleasant and the food good. Might be rather different experience on a busier night/weekend, but certainly happy to recommend for a relaxed meal at a decent price in a welcoming pub :)

Always a good time at the Welly. A really nice Sunday lunch experience. Proper friendly welcome. Given a nice table. Speedy service. Had the roast beef with an extra portion of cauliflower cheese on the side. Delicious, hot and plenty of it. Staff were attentive. It would be nice if we had our own sauces, horseradish, cranberry etc on the table rather than being served by staff, but literally the only gripe. Had the Apple and Raspberry crumble for pudding. Hot and yummy. Clean toilets and dog friendly A great local with good food and friendly staff.
