All the food was excellent. My only issue was for $12 I would expect the bartender to know how to make a proper gin gimlet.

We were visiting from Tampa, FL and wanted to splurge a little on dinner. We had a fantastic time. The food was incredible and our servers Tony and Aung were very knowledgeable and had us laughing the whole time! We will definitely be back next time we visit Niagara!

Food was terrific, could have been served a little faster, but otherwise, everything else was great!

They have the best steak on the planet. 5 star servers and chef.

We came here for a birthday dinner and we’re seated by the wine chiller which was of course a bit chillier for us than the regular dining area. We requested to be transferred to a table away from the chiller and was attended to right away. The steak were good but the side dishes were mediocre. Wine was fantastic! The place has a good ambience and the staff were very attentive and friendly! Overall, we had a great experience and happily recommend this restaurant!

Our server, Tony, was the best and deserves all the good things in life. The server helping him was rude when it came time to pay our bill and made that entire experience difficult for no reason, but Tony handled it professionally and easily. Food was good. It was loud but not to the point you can’t hear yourself.

If you want to treat yourself or spend time in an intimate gathering of four during these challenging times while navigating COVID, The Western Door Steakhouse at Seneca Niagara is an excellent choice. The food and service are always consistent and in line with the price. The safety protocols made you feel secure and allowed you to enjoy the evening. We were a party of five to celebrate a birthday party and we were fortunate to receive a windowed room where a table for three and a table of two was set up six feet apart. Conversation was easy while we enjoyed a delicious meal and celebrated with family. I suggest an earlier seating as oppose to later because of COVID protocols with closing. Host Courtney at the front door begins the experience with a smile and welcome.

The service was outstanding and the food came quickly. Food was great and I loved the vibe and ambiance of the restaurant!! Will definitely be coming back

Ordered large wedge, got small. Dressing had no taste and was watery , Bread excellent,sweet potato very hard, steaks ok prepared as requested. Surprise facilities charge?? We questioned the charge since no mention anywhere web, menu, signage.The manager handled it very well, Hal is a asset to the restaurant. Server Michele excellent.Would we recommend to others maybe ??The Buffalo restaurant last year was very good. Jim Sandoro

We went with a couple of friends and the food was as wonderful. It’s usually a hit or miss for us. But all four of us lived our dishes!!!

Food was subpar at best, not what I remember from years ago. The crab legs and especially the bone in filet was not worth the high price.

Service was great, food was wonderful, and drinks were great. Will be back soon.

Great food. Service was top notch as you would expect.

It was good. One of the steaks was cooked medium rare, when asked for medium. The Caesar dressing had a lot of anchovy flavor which was a bit overpowering, but everything tasted good.

The filet was the best I have ever had. It is pricey and salad is extra but the steak was phenomenal and the service was excellent.

Food & Service were outstanding. Server recommended a bottle of wine that had a discounted price for the evening. It was very good. Western Door never disappoints.

Reservation was for 830pm. Closes at 10pm. They rushed us through. Told us we had to order right away cause they were closing.Appetizers and entrees all came at same time. Both of us all food was cold. Baked potato tasted like cooked 10hrs ago, got cold, microwaved to warm up, wast cold hard. Scallops flavor okay but cold. Had roasted bone marrow which was way over priced and shaved nine with very little marrow.
If make reservations don’t go after 7pm.
This our 3rd attempt to eat here and all times disappointed.

Please be aware, with Covid protocol, must be out by 10pm!!! Made reservations for 8:30pm, ordered dinner by 8:40pm, dinner did not arrive until 9:37pm. Steak was cold!!! Server never came back to check on us or give update on status of food. Spoke with manager of steakhouse and was not pleased with outcome and was told by manager, we had to be finished eating and out by 10pm!!! Unsatisfied with dining experience and to add to injury, it was my fiancé birthday!!!

Wonderful dinner. Their filet is the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. Service is always amazing.

We love this place but was disappointed in our wedge salad. Reason is the blue cheese dressing was very thin as if watered down. Two weeks ago we were there and we always get the capese salad. It was also short on balsamic. We have gotten this many times before and never had this problem. Just hoping they are not trying to cut corners as this is a high end restaurant. Meal was excellent though. I do not normally say anything negative but thought this was worth mentioning. We will be going there again, so hopefully this was just an isolated incident.

Food was delicious!! Service was great. Our waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean. Martinis were fabulous! We will definitely be back.

My friend's scallops were spoiled, she was sick all nite and the next day. They did take it off the bill, but still a bad experience!

The dining experience as a whole was wonderful. Two waiters per table, so plenty of attention given to each dining party. The lobster bisque' was so smooth and so creamy. Excellent. The French onion soup was excellent as well as the caramelized mushrooms.
Wonderful anniversary.

Very friendly. Clean. Enforced dresscode rules. (I like that very much). Absolutely great food and deserts. Staff dresses nicely. Quiet music rounding off the great ambience. We had our 5th Anniversary and we left The Western Door being very happy about our dining experience. Since then I already recommended this place to a dozen people.

was a little loud but overall very nice. The beer I ordered on tap was bad but the food was amazing.

Dining at the Western Door is always a treat. It begins when you approach the check-in counter, located just outside the dining area. You can be sure that you'll be greeted with enthusiasm. Admittedly, we saw some people who were disappointed that there was no availability, because they didn't have reservations. SO... to avoid the disappointment, make your you reserve a space, in advance.

Our servers (they work as a team... a great concept, because it feels like you're always being attended to, even if one of the servers is attending to other guests) were wonderful. Because they wear masks, we couldn't see the smiles, but their expressions and voices made us feel very welcome.

One of the things that was striking was how much effort and energy everyone put into the safety of guests and staff. We could see how tables were sanitized, before a new guest is seated. Not just the table... the chairs and the seating areas were carefully sanitized. The staff work masks properly; place settings were added only after our specific orders, so they wouldn't be sitting on the tables for any period of time... and the menus were disposable. Very well done.

You probably care more about the dinners: Our food was perfectly prepared and delivered hot, at the right pace. I recommend the French Onion Soup and Carrots, as side dishes. There are so many excellent main entree choices. My wife raved about the Sea Bass... I prefer steaks and recommend all of them.

Everything was wonderful. The 12oz filet is the way to go.!!!

Having dined at the Western Door numerous times the food as always was excellent. Unfortunately during this visit our service was terrible. We have always,up to this visit, had outstanding,personable and prompt servers taking care of us. On this visit our servers were far below standards expected at the Western Door, from short replies, long waits for drink service and no follow up on dinners, not being advised on the dinner specials,not being offered desserts...just awful and extremely disappointing.
