Reservation of 12 to 20 guests are available at lunch.
Perfect restaurant for a date night and catching up with friends.
Food is okay, but expensive for what is on offer...it’s a great concept with the small, local menu on offer from the blackboard, but lacks precision in cooking for the price. We found our fish to be overseasoned and the mussels to be lacking in depth. Everything was okay, but it didn’t go much further than that.
All tables are shared, which makes for an intimate atmosphere that felt lacking in privacy for the price point being asked.
Certain touches are welcomed. The design of the restaurant is very contemporary, yet still homely. Equally, Westerns Laundry, tries slightly too hard to be cool. For instance, all wine is served in transparent, plain bottles, making the whole place feel more focussed on image over substance.
Excellent food - the best we’ve had here in 6 visits!
We had a wonderful evening , food was outstanding as was service and all recommendations . Wine delicious
Thankyou western laundry !
Great lunch before football, we had about 10 fantastic dishes between 3 of us. Thank you.
Fabulous food. Great service. Absolutely loved it
Second time dining here, and it was just fantastic again. Great food, lovely wine, great atmosphere, great service - and all for surprisingly great value! Definitely recommend
The best. Always.
civilised place - good all round - delightful
Great food but the wine let’s this restaurant down!
Excellent food and very good service. Noise level too high so difficult to hear each other speak.
Lovely non-pretentious food in an atmospheric environment. We had dinner for two on a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was busy but the service was impeccable. My only wish is that there were more tables for two to make the dining experience more intimate. Will go back.
Food was fabulous as always. Staff very attentive. Can’t fault it
Lovely atmosphere. Mixed crowd. Great ambience. Food was good, quite safe, not outstanding. Service was unfortunately a let down. A new waitress who did not know the menu at all. It was as if she hadn’t been briefed about the food before service started. I would go back and give it another try, if nothing else, for the setting, which is great!
Crazy expensive for what it is. Paid 70£ each and got out hungry. Food is good but come on not worth spending 70£. Wine was very bad - paid 54£ for a bottle of primitivo which was too acid
Great menu, fun energy, delicious food. A really great concept and experience.
Thank you! It was delicious and we loved the atmosphere!
The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. We were a little disappointed by the selection of digestives/cocktails as I believe they only had a very small selection. The food was ok but not amazing for the price tag. For this price level we have had much better experiences in London.
Third time of visiting and again excellent in all areas. Waitress was superb as was food. Very helpful re wine. This was pre football so buzzing with friendly contact with people around. Can’t wait to go again.
Great food and great service.
Love the open plan kitchen and calm professionalism of the chefs within. Would highly recommend Westerns Laundry.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and very attentive staff. We would definitely go again.
Ambiente toll, sehr freundlicher Service!
Western's Laundry is always amazing. I LOVED the scallops, pureed artichoke and egg. I was less keen on the parsley sauce that came with the ray wing.
Great food, service and atmosphere... Tapas-like portions allow to taste a bit of everything.
Menu is diverse and innovative though it mostly uses regional and local products.
Wine is a bit expensive though and the place can get quite noisy since almost continuously full.
This is next to the house and we’ve been meaning to try this for a long time.
Finally went at the weekend and I don’t know - it just didn’t live up to expectations. The service was amazing, but the wine was very expensive and I didn’t particularly enjoy it. The food, is expensive and it’s sort of small plates.. it seems to be simple “good ingredients” - the monkfish was delicious, everything else was just okay.
Some great dishes you'd expect of an expert kitchen, some less good - ricotta with wilted greens was muddy and dull. Wine list on the pricey side. Servivce good enough but surely the 'dishes come out when they are ready' speech is dated now. Nice airy space. Oh - the Panna Cotta with Pear was a perfect pudding.
Great atmosphere with all shared tables and the menu is written in chalk on a blackboard makes you feel a bit like you were invited into someone’s home for a specially prepared meal. Shared plates are a nice change to charge all the flavors with your friends.
The dishes were all generally good but not incredibly inspired. The oysters with chili sauce were a bit too salty, and not enough kick, the beet greens with ricotta needed a bit more acid to kick the flavor profile up a bit more, but the canalonni with mushrooms was perfect comfort food. The sirloin was executed perfectly, but perfectly pedestrian and the monkfish with roasted peppers was delicious and flakey and wonderful but perhaps one dish too many to enjoy fully.
Rum baba was a sweet and a desert wine all in one.
Very similar to Primeur in almost every way, but I would have to admit that Primuer was executed just a bit better. Would certainly go back just to find out what’s on the menu another night, and hoping the step it up just a bit more.
Absolutely fantastic meal here, with lovely food, great service and all round a great evening!
Generally great food. We are returning customers as we live locally. Only thing I don’t really like is the wine list. Seems too pricey.
Outstanding from start to finish. Great venue, great food, great fun. Thank you.
Food incredible. Service lovely and attentive. No dish I didnt enjoy. Wine was delish. Only mini moan was rum baba wildly overpriced....had an incredible night though. So good to have found a gem like this in North London.
Beautiful food and service, would definitely eat here again.
Never disappoints, amazing service, atmosphere and food
Great food but wine very over-priced and did not match the quality and standard of the food
Delicious good quality food (reflected in price) and excellent service and atmosphere. Contrary to what you'd expect, it was actually ok sharing a table with strangers, it's not set up like Wagamama's despite the photos, and we didn't overhear anyone else's convo, so privacy is maintained. Only slight negative is that main courses didn't arrive at the same time - because they tell you everything is for sharing, which may well be *their* idea, but in reality people often want their own food e.g. when they have dietary requirements ;-)
I would eat here again and recommend it.
Westerns Laundry has great food and service. I'm not a big fan of the shared table, but the food is worth the compromise.
The lamb shoulder was one of the best things I've eaten. Loved the menu and the setting. Definitely will visit again.
This restaurant is fantastic, experimental with the menu, and spot on with the service. A beautiful blend of trendy and class, perfect for an elegant night with a small group of friends or a date night.
Overal very disappointed.
We had one guest that had an intolerance and was advised which dishes he could have. He ordered the Tubot which came with sides however when presented there were no sides as these contained the ingredients that he couldn’t have. He was presented with a plain fish on a plate!!! No one told him that he couldn’t have these nothing else was offered. I come from a hospitality background and look after small and large parties and we would ALWAYS offer something alternative to the dietary the guest might have. We certainly wouldn’t charge the full price of the dish and would explain this before the guest makes the order.
When given the bill I made a point of this and was given the bill back with “open food” with £2 taken off, this personally I found a sarcastic move plus there was no apology!
I also made a note on my booking that it was my boyfriends birthday plus I called the evening of to make sure he was presented with a candle in his dessert - nothing of this was done!
I found it a poor experience which is such a shame as we all live local, but it put a damper on the evening seeing as it was a special occasion.
