Westerns Laundry Ratings and Reviews
Don’t usually write reviews but this was absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere, fantastic dining room with lights coming from beneath, made it feel intimate.
Food was absolutely fantastic and, as we didn’t drink wine, in the end it was good value for money. £30 a head and we ate very well - would go to £50 a head with wine.
The Jerusalem artichoke and egg dish has to be one of the best things I’ve eaten all year - we ordered it twice. Everything else was equally as good.
Couldn’t recommend this enough.
This was my second time to Westerns Laundry and it did not disappoint - in fact the food this time round was even more exceptional. The pumpkin, chestnut and sage was so good we ordered it twice and every wine we had was outstanding. Can't wait to find another reason to go back.
Our second visit and the food and wine was still delicious. Attentive waiting staff were slightly let down by the sombre unsmiling person who delivered the food to our table. Perhaps she was having a bad day? A minor complaint - we still had a lovely evening.
We have been three times, with teenagers and toddler for lunch and with friends in the evening. Everyone of every age has loved it every time. All the dishes are delicious. The vegetable ones are outstanding, and the fish ones and even the meat ones amazing too. Don’t miss the baked fideo. Best restaurant in north London!
Really enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, even though we ate early. Service was excellent ,the food delicious and exploring the wine list by drinking several wines by the glass was a joy. Stylish decor added to the experience . Would definitely highly recommend . Sian Cox
The food is innovative and outstanding. It's small sharing plates, and we didn't have one we didn't like. The scallop, the spelt risotto, and the sea bass were particular highlights. The service was excellent - helpful and informative without getting in the way. The atmosphere is very convivial so probably not a place for a date, but great with friends. My only reservation is I don't share their enthusiasm for organic, bio-dynamic wines which strikes me as civilisation going backwards. We were directed to a very good French chardonnay that didn't taste like it had been made out the back. Would thoroughly recommend the place.
Such a great little find! Tucked away right by Holloway Road station. Beautiful olive trees trees outside with large glass windows. The food is very fishy but beautifully simple, the wine and G&T was also amazing. The only thing is that they put 3 people on a 2 person table so it was a little snug but I suppose it's apart of the atmosphere! Worth a visit!
My wife, daughter and I had an excellent dinner to celebrate my birthday. The food was exceptional and the wine recommendations perfectly complemented the dishes we chose. Great service and great value. Rum Baba dessert with candle in it and staff singing Happy Birthday was a nice touch. Our second time there - already looking forward to the next visit.
Fantastic meal, 5*. Booked late on Saturday afternoon luckily a table was available. Arrived around 9pm, the restaurant was buzzing, great atmosphere lots of happy customers. Food and wine, we decided to leave it up to the server to choose and she did a fabulous job. The pollock, scallop and grouse all stood out and the wine was just devine.
