I had the Salmon with potato salad. It was ok but not the quality I have come to expect from White Dog. I expected great.
I love White Dog Cafe but the menu rarely changes and when we were there for lunch this week the service was terribly slow. love the muchroom soup. Crab cakes are not nearly as good at MerionCricket club, Haverford
Courteous accommodating staff. Delicious food. Outdoor seating is excellent
At dinner last Sunday, the meal was fine as usual, but the service was faltering poor! Did not seem any body knew anything. Waiter 5 minutes for oyster forks, same for soup spoons.
The "for the table corn bread" it might have served a toy's table but 4 people - no way.
We will be back and hope that the service shows improvement.
Excellent brunch, fresh local ingredients, cooked to perfection.
While I opted for outdoor dining, I did not expect to sit in a parking lot with a heater nearby. When asked to move into tented area, I was told it was for larger groups. Only upon suggesting that I was leaving did that option become available.
Very limited menu even though I think they have the capacity to seat more people with the tented area than before COVID.
Probably will not return although food was okay.
Consistently delicious food. Very accommodating.
Great good, great drinks and excellent service. Will definitely go back!
The food has gone downhill. Oysters were horrible, service (outside), was poor. Won’t be going back any time soon.
It is unfortunate that the receptionist could not find our reservation. In the end they did but that took 35 minutes. The salad took another 45 minutes to get to our table. The salad was mediocre. We love sitting outside and the waiter was good but the whole service around was disappointing.
They responded very well to COVID-19. The food was very good and the service, as always ,was excellent. It is a solid restaurant on the Main Line and I am becoming a regular.
Quirky, fun place with a nice menu and delicious food. We were a party of four, all ordering different items, and everyone was happy! Our waiter was efficient and charming....wish I remembered his name!
It was an early birthday dinner with my friend and it was the most uncomfortable experience last night. First we was seated right at the entrance of the tent n it was Cold!!! We asked to move our seat n they did which was nice. It felt like they forget we was there and 30mins later after asking, we got a server who looked like he rather be doing anything else but there. We felt so uncomfortable n we left without eating our dinner or deserts!! I was really looking forward to the desert too😥😥
Wonderful food and service
The service was excellent and the food was great. The decor was so cute. They really leaned into the dog theme. Will be back next time I’m in the area.
It was absolutely amazing!!! We will definitely be back!!!
Food and drinks were amazing. Service was friendly and attentive. Great experience!
We keep returning for the food and the outdoor seating, but service troubles persist, and we'll have to think twice before going again. They seem to have enough runners, but not enough waiters. On two of the last three visits, we've had to wait 15-20 minutes for the waiter to make the first approach to our table. The menu could use a few more reasonably-priced entrees for weeknight dining. The $49 filet mignon seems out of whack for a suburban restaurant. (We miss Du Jour.)
Ate at a booth at the bar area, Sam was great as was the food and cocktail.
The food at White Dog is always excellent. We ate in the tent and we were warm even though it was windy and chilly that day. The service was a bit delayed - they were very, very busy at lunch.
Always a great experience. The staff and food are consistently great. Thank You!
The food and drinks were excellent. The service was good, too.
Outstanding overall experience. Wait staff was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Pace was relaxed, food was very good with some unique selections and seasoning. I have always enjoyed White Dog in Philadelphia, and I will include this location in the future as well.
Service was very slow. It looks like they were short staffed.
Waited 30 min. for water, 1 he. for appetizers and entree came after siting there for 1 1/2 hrs.
No explanation, no I’m sorry we are running behind, waitress overwhelmed.
Very poor service. Tables coming after us received their meals before us.
This was the worst experience we’ve experienced here. Our server was indifferent and inattentive, frequently ignored us. The crab cake sandwiches were soggy and inedible. We asked for a box multiple times to take home half of a burger and never got it. We spoke to a manager and we’re dismissed. We have brunch there probably 20 a year, and will not be going back.
Nice menu, but for the prices of this place it should be better. This is our second time here, and service has been blah. Both times our food came before we had utensils on the table. We had a soup, and salad delivered and sat there looking at it without utensils. The first time we were there the manager was arguing with an employee about making "rollups" utensils rolled up in a napkin. We thought it was a one-time issue and came back because we liked the menus, but obviously, it hasn't been resolved It wasn't a great experience. The greeters and servers were not particularly friendly and we felt like we were an inconvenience to them and the place has an overall disorganized feel to it.
Great food. Service was slow even though we were some of the first people to arrive. Super pet friendly. We sat outside with our dog and they brought out a bowl of ice water for him :)
Amazing service! Amazing food! Can't wait to go back!
Excellent service and food
verybusy on the weekend but had a positive experience...like all of the Fearless properties
Good menu, comfortable outdoor seating,
Ran out of specials early in the evening.
The new manager Brian was very friendly and helpful. He helped us pick a nice bottle of wine.
It has been a long time since I had to compose a review with my tongue in my cheek.
White Dog Haverford is NOT White Dog Wayne.
The bartender in Haverford needs to go back to school, or the waiter needs to be alert and verify what a customer orders. I ordered a Manhattan and the Luxardo cherry was missing in action. No problem, the waiter said, I will provide two on your next round.
Excuse me? So the second round arrives and now the orange rind was MIA.
Operation is not buttoned up and this was not my first visit. Perhaps I will return to Wayne where the quality AND the presentation are First Class.
We enjoyed our lunch! The wait staff was friendly and our food was delicious
White dog truly never disappoints. We sat outside in the tent which was spaced out- the noise level was at times tough to communicate with the person across the table due to the tent walls and a large party. I did find hair in our crab cake and let the service staff know but the reception was that not that big of a deal. Especially at times with Covid, it’s a little baffling at how that could happen- I get it, mistakes happen.
DANIEL IS WONDERFUL! Thank you for taking care of everything...all the coffee 🤣
Always a good place to meet a friend for lunch. There is outdoor seating under a tent, with heaters. It was still a little chilly the other day, but we could have eaten inside, and we managed to sit out there for over two hours, and were never rushed. We both ordered the avocado BLT, which is delicious, but very messy. The Kennett Square Mushroom Soup is always wonderful. We hate the ridiculous mason jars for drinking!! They make the drink dribble down your chin! Nothing cool about that....So the waitress was happy to give us regular glasses.
A very enjoyable luncheon experience. Food was tasty, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff welcoming and pleasant.
I always order the same selections off the menu at White Dog Cafe and Love it!
Amazing mushroom soup, tuna tartar,
and a superb cocktail!
This is the first time since the pandemic that our friends and my husband and I opted to dine inside the restaurant! We all felt comfortable with all of the safety precautions in place!
Our waitress Keira was very friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming!
Looking forward to our next dinner out!
