   We ate outside on the terrace which we had booked as it was a lovely sunny day. The views are gorgeous. The food and service was extremely good. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely return.

   Fantastic Sunday roast served by amiable, knowledgeable staff in a magnificent location. When the sun is shining, there cannot be a better place to enjoy lunch. The view is incredible as is the food and drink. Would highly recommend!

   Wonderful, attentive but relaxed service which was perfect. Beautiful food, all dishes were amazing. Real fine dining experience in a newly renovated pub setting. Pricing was in line with the standard of food. Gorgeous views, will definitely be back for the next special occasion!

   Really impressed with the new menu. Much better than last year. I had the roasted cod, beautifully presented and delicious. We were a party of 6 and everyone’s food was good. I thought the prices were reasonable as well. You’d pay similar for a burger at other pubs. The pub is very nicely decorated. In fact I’d class this as more of an up market bistro type pub, rather than a steak and pie type place. The outside views across the Weald to Eastbourne and the coast are unrivalled. The outside seating area has some of the best pub views in Sussex! We will definitely be back!

   First time I’ve been here & I was very impressed, lovely restaurant inside and outside area very peaceful with beautiful views. Food was brilliant and staff friendly and helpful. I will definitely return. P.S BEST coffee ever!

   Excellent food. Local beef shin with haggis was outstanding, accompanied by truffle and parmesan fries. For the quality of the food, it's great value. The manager, Paul, was very attentive and mixes an excellent rock shandy - ask him for one if you've never tried it.

   I have often driven by this pub/restaurant and wondered if it would be worth a look. Eventually I decided to stop and have a pint. As a result I booked a table. I researched the pub and discovered its a bunch of farmers who have got together to serve the community with produce from a local farm. The Sunday roast is just great. It's really a great service and the whole offer is slightly elevated from anything that I can find locally. If you are bothered about where your Sunday roast comes and you fancy a little treat the white Hart has got it figured out and totally delivers.

    We dined on a very quiet Wednesday evening in this delightfully renovated inn. I'm sure it would be heaving during the day especially at weekends as there were lots of areas outside overlooking the views. Our server was great and we were all pleased with our food having struggled to decide which of the appetizing choices to go for. We hope to go back for a return visit soon.
