About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Dog-friendly
  • Neighbourhood gem
Our bar and pub menus have all been crafted around local produce from Norfolk.

Like the seasons, menus at the White Horse Holme change to reflect the fresh ingredients that our fishermen, farmers and suppliers catch, grow and produce for us.

Our menu is designed to be shared amongst friends or ordered for individuals. We recommend a side dish with our large plates. Dishes suitable for sharing are indicated on the menu.

Dogs are welcome in our bar and dining area.
We welcome walk ins in our bar and restaurant as well as on our heated decking area outside.

The recent revamp and opening of a bakery had led to queues and parked cars miles away! Also a sunny warm Good Friday! Nevertheless the staff coped brilliantly and everything was excellent. We shall return when it might be quieter.

Time for a change of menu. It’s spring and menu is unchanged for some time. We ate towards end of lunch service and our food was plonked on table very abruptly. We’ve been very keen for the last year but found today very lack lustre.

Food was okay. But you ordered items separately and that’s how they came. Fries first, then burgers, then a main course 5 minutes later. I ordered from the sandwich menu and was asked to go to the bar for the menu. My sandwich came wrapped in paper like ordered from a sandwich shop. No garnish at all. My son had finished his burger by the time he was offered any sauce and my husband’s pork arrived, again no garnish and fries already eaten so just a plate of meat. Felt like a snack bar without the snack bar price and an automatic service charge added on top.

The food was very nice and the location was perfect for the first night of our family mini break. A few more veg options to go with our meal would have been good but overall we all enjoyed our visit to this pub.

Sunday lunch by 16.30 not recommended. Service slow, potatoes and meat chewy, and looked like someone had been over liberal with the bisto. Unlike our last visit, quite disappointed.

First time back since the refurbishment. Was initially disappointed at the menu as the previous owners had such a variety of fish dishes to choose from. We ordered the cod scampi (starters) with sides of fries, parsnips & broccoli which were delicious. A pint of Adnams & a Fever Tree tonic came to £50! Not cheap! It was quite nosy & could do with some background music.

We ate outside in the garden. The food was piping hot and delicious.
