    Excellent food, great service and nice restaurant. A bit pricey, but very well prepared and tasty food. I can recommend the oyster happy hours too (between 4 and 5 PM).

    Whitehorse is becoming a regular meeting place for family from disparate locations where we catch-up eating our favourite foods with wonderful wines in an ideal atmosphere.

    We were given a voucher for a meal here but hadn't ever thought to go here as were a bit put off by the outside. However inside was lovely and the food was fantastic. Lots of seafood in tapas style plates so we shared 4 dishes and 2 sides which was the perfect amount for us followed by an incredible pudding (apple tart). The cocktail menu is great too! Would now highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back,

    Actually I was worried about the freshness of the oysters, but they were delicious. And fizzy was also very tasty. I’m interested in other menu items, so I will visit again soon.

    We eat here each year when we visit the city to celebrate a birthday & anniversary, but this year was a huge disappointment. It was a week day which may account for the poor ambiance, but that aside it honestly felt like we were an inconvenience. The staff previously had been lovely and friendly - this visit quite the opposite. The food was ‘ok’ but not nearly as good as previous visits and nearly £200 later we were ordering room service at the hotel. We were not asked how our meal was or whether everything was ok… good job really as I doubt they would have liked the answer. Very sad but this is the last year we will visit.

    The portion sizes have been dramaticly cut down from what I remember in the past, I don't feel that the prices match the food quality or portion sizes. The service we received was very good and friendly. I probably won't be coming back again, which is a shame because in the past they where really great and the menu was much better.

    There were a couple of things which weren't on the menu which I wanted but wasn't told until after I ordered. That was a little disappointing given my high expectations I have for White Horse. The food is excellent.

    If you want the best seafood in town look no further. We had the sharing platter it did not disappoint our expectations, in fact it was the best we've ever had. When back in Edinburgh we will return.

    Service was poor, waited nearly an hour for basic plate (scallops) barely warm and string fries which were cold. Steak also served cold. Long waits for service, no check in regarding food. Generally very poor and disappointing. I

    Food was good and almost creative, portions in tapas size but quite expensive. Unfortunately there were two very noisy tables and it was unconfortable for us so we didn't enjoy thoroughfully our experience and prefered to leave quite fast. Service nice but a little pushy. Oysters really good.

    Exquisitely fresh seafood, many dishes with a nod to Japanese cuisine. Servers were thoughtful and knowledgeable. Desserts were lovely and playful.

    Fantastic seafood and desserts. We had the seafood platter - juiciest scallops ever! Lovely vibe and decor too. Only downside was no bread with the platter. We had to order bread and there wasn't enough to enjoy with the platter. At £5 for a side of bread it was not great value.

    Staff were inattentive and our food took well over an hour and then all came out at once. I think something went wrong with their system, but they didn’t acknowledge or apologize for the excessive wait.
