Whyte & Brown Limited
Perfectly satisfied with our pre-theatre dinner. We were aware that the menu is fairly limited. Husband enjoyed the aubergine dish with additional grilled chicken but disappointed that his favourite beer wasn’t available. Staff were friendly and welcoming and overall it hit the spot.
To start they didn’t have our reservation. Told us that the booking through open table were not guaranteed. Service was poor, food and drinks came at disparate times. Had to keep reminding the staff of the missing items. the food quite average
The waitress was extremely nice to us and although at first they completely forgot to bring us the menus, the staff was really nice. It’s a decent place. The cocktails were not wow but it was happy hour so who cares? Haha
On the past few visits, the food is always very good but the service is below standard.
I booked for lunch but, when we arrived, they didn't have our booking "because we booked same day"
Service is very slow - we waiting over 20mins to be offered drinks and this was only after we spent over 5mins to try and get the attention of the wait staff.
The staff were pleasant enough once we did have their attention.
On a previous visit (not this one), one meal was forgotten and no compensation was offered, even though the rest of the table had finished eating before the forgotten meal arrived.
Maybe don't choose this venue if you don't have any time to spare.
If you do have the time, I recommend the fries with truffle mayo and parmesan.
Food and drinks were great! Will definitely be returning.
Great relaxed atmosphere for a long late lunch
The food was really good and well priced for central London. Our waiter was excellent too, nothing was a problem. The cocktails were good too. Would definitely recommend if you are in London
Black rice ‘salad’ was not that great, cold and simple. But the chips were fab! And vegan burger was also a very delicious burger. It was a great place to sit and eat. The service by both ladies was superb! Thank you!
Perfect! Such a great evening and delicious food.
Great food and the service was excellent. Thank you
Thought the food was good, not spectacular, one of the staff was pretty rude which was a bit of a dampener on the night but overall would recommend.
Really nice place to go eat/drink. Would recommend
Despite having booked we only had a small table inside for 5 people, outside was too cold. A couple had the adjacent large 6 seater table.
Great food as always! Friendly service and part of eat out to help out!
Great review! Thank you very much! We have made the decision as a venue to continue for the month of September the eat out to help out scheme. So hope to have you join us again soon.
Service was poor. Wasn’t offered a drink after being seated for 20 minutes. Eventually
Thanks for the review. It's a shame that you felt this way about the service, but we hope this will not deter you from joining us again.
Unlike other places in Soho where you have to queue to get a table, it's refreshing to be able to book a table and go to Whyte and Brown. The espresso martini is good, and the halloumi souvlaki is my favourite.
The staff are consistently friendly and helpful too.
It may not be popular with hipsters but it's a solid choice for lunch / drinks.
Thanks for such a great review! We're so glad you enjoyed your time with us, and hope to welcome you back - maybe for happy hour cocktails this time?
Lovely food I had chicken and my guest had a vegetarian option, restaurant was clean and welcoming, will definitely visit again
Thanks for the great review, we really appreciate the feedback, see you soon!
The restaurant has a great buzz and a menu with something for everyone.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes that correct, we've got a little bit for everyone!
We lunched as a group with 2 babies and were served quite fast, offered water and baby chairs.
Food was nice and overall service was very good as well.
Excellent food, very tasty and good size portions. Also, the atmosphere is very cosy and friendly.
We had a fantastic time at your restaurant and the staff were great. The area that has brought our overall score down was the desserts.
Having had such amazing starters and main it was disappointing to have such bland desserts. An area for improvement however would not stop me coming to the restaurant in the future.
Food was very flavoursome and the service was brilliant. Would definitely recommend for a week brunch spot!
Good food served by friendly Italian/New Yorker waitress.Good potions and good. wine and beer options.
We were seated upstairs in airy bright area.
Always enjoy visiting here
Fabulous crispy buttermilk chicken with french toast - though French toast too burnt.
Fantastic and warm service from Eloise and Nadia , though hit and miss service from other waitresses (on Thursday, we were served by another waitress, who took our order , and then 20mins later when Eloise came to talk to us , she came back over to reconfirm our order and then put it into the computer system; so about 40mins waiting for food - compared to previous days when received food within 15mins of being seated and ordering ).
Would definitely return ! - though will probably request to be served by Nadia and Eloise.
Great service, clean and friendly. Food was tasty and arrived really quickly. Nice ambiance in a busy lively area of Carnaby Street.
A great place to meet
Mixed. I booked a table for 7 people, received confirmation from the App and called the restaurant direct on the day before to reduce the table to 6 people. However, when I arrived they had no trace of the booking whatsoever. They allocated a table and took our order. Unfortunately the waitress decided that those of us not having a starter should have our main courses when the starters arrived. This threw the rhythm of our meal completely. Food was good but anyone with an average appetite may not want a starter. I might go back but I would be wary of the chaotic service, which is why I’ve marked it down.
Food and service great as always!
great as always. good food and staff always attentive
Went for simple mashed avocado toast and poached egg breakfast. Avocado had been watered down with tomatoes, the poached eggs were very watery and the rocket salad was overly dressed in oil. The whole meal was very wet. Left very unsatisfied. Something so simple to get right! Will not be dining there again.
Good vibe. Portion size are proper. Friendly service.
Sorry to say I wish I had not booked this restaurant. It was not what I expected. The reception on arrival was poor, the attendant didn't listen to a word we said and offered us a breakfast menu when we were there for lunch. We thought the menu choices were poor; when I looked online before I booked I was sure it was a more expansive menu. At all times during our meal we had to signal for service and to pay our bill. Although there seemed to be a lot of servers around we appeared to be invisible to them. The whole place needs to sharpen right up. We did not enjoy our meal. So usual and annoying to have to give such a poor review; we would rather not!
Great quality food - something for everyone!
Over priced dry chicken c
Everyone enjoyed they're meal and the location was perfectly London.
They didn’t have our booking when we arrived but everything else was pretty good
Was going to theatre stopped off at Carnaby Street found this place nice food nice atmosphere well come back next time in London
If you love chicken you'll love Whyte and Brown! Great food served in a bright and vibrant setting in the heart of Soho. What's not to love?!
