I took my mum for her 70th birthday and the staff could not have made it anymore special, they were absolutely brilliant. Food was amazing, atmosphere was relaxed and we tried the local Hampshire bubbles, beautiful. We had the best time.

My husbands birthday, booked bar seating prior to dining, arrived no seating available for us, was offered table by exit which had children’s toys scattered on it, declined. Had to wait half an hour for the bill despite asking twice.

A fall from Grace..... The Restaurant at Four Seasons, Wild Carrot, as it has been known since its extensive refurbishment in 2017 has long been a favourite of ours. Having hosted our wedding back in 2009 we have dinned, snacked, drunk, stayed at Four Seasons Hampshire every month for the past 11 years. The front door has turned into a fortress with KGB style security questioning why we were there, demanding to see a reservation which I assured the Gentleman I had somewhere on my smartphone but I was made to find the email before being permitted to proceed through ‘airport security’. Why he couldn’t look up our reservation was beyond me and why he believed an email over me I really can’t tell. Through security we proceeded without a Manager in sight, instructions were barked at us and overall it was a very cold reception by masked men who instead of making one feel warm and fuzzy that they were on top of CoVid-19 actually made me feel for the first time that I might catch the disease and die before the cheese course. Please don’t think dear reader I have any issue with the necessary protocols to protect both staff and guests alike from this pandemic but there is a way to do this whilst maintaining an air of sophistication. Security passed we made our way through the hotel masked up and ready for luncheon. The Farmers Market is no more,replaced by a choice of 4 starters and 3 main courses. I opted for the salmon and Roast Beef. The Roast beef was wonderful but the service was so disappointing. A complete lack of interest and no customer care. I had to order my drink 3 times and then I was told it was only served by the bottle and I ordered a bottle for the 3rd time. Table clothes are a thing of the past and the menus have been changed to paper which I could understand for CoViD control if ours had not come straight from the adjacent table. I am limited by word count but I would suggest taking a hip flash, your own bottled water and the patience of saint to enjoy!

We had a wonderful buffet lunch to celebrate my son's birthday. The selection of food was amazing in a very relaxed environment and attentive staff. Couldn't fault a think. Roll on the next birthday !

This restaurant is set within the hotel surrounded by the Hampshire countryside, we had a lovely view. The food is buffet and the set price includes a glass of bubbly. The selection of starters, desserts and cheeses was excellent. Fat juicy prawns, healthy veg options, English puddings and bite size desserts all to an exceptionally high standard. The mains were mainly roast meats, I chose the roast beef which literally melted in my mouth. The veg selection was cooked perfectly. The only negatives were the Yorkshire puds which were large and dry and the potato dauphinois which was slightly underdone. We could forgive these though as everything else was perfect including the friendly service. Sadly had no room to enjoy the cheeses which looked delicious. We’d definitely do this again.

I took my husband on his Birthday for the Marketplace Sunday Lunch. Everything was perfect - wonderful food , lovely friendly staff , from the entrance hall onwards , and a pleasant ambiance. A really great experience , thanks to all , we will be back.

Always a pleasure to dine here. From the amazing staff that look after you and make you feel at home to the delicious foods that come out course after course. The Striploin was beautiful as was the Chicken and foie gras. Look forward to coming back soon.

The food at Wild Carrot was amazing. I've rarely tasted flavours like it. It was very quiet when we went in, which was our choice, and it did take away from the ambience a little but in general it was a fantastic meal. You are certainly paying for the privilege though and we couldn't have afforded to eat here if it wasn't for a gift voucher we had.

Very disappointing.... The Wild Carrot Restaurant is one of my favorites and we visit a lot. However, on Sunday is was a car crash. We booked for the Farmers Lunch, the first table was 2pm. We arrived early has a cocktail which was amazing, then sat down for lunch. We had our starters which were also amazing... but when we went up to get our Sunday Roast at 2:45... we were told there was no more joints.... and they had steaks in the oven. How disappointing, we had to eat rib eye steak sliced, which I hated and then was served warm to cold potatoes, veg and gravy.... The Manager was very apologetic and we did get our food at a discounted rate, however, the point is that when Sunday lunch is costing £65 per head, you should be getting the same quality and food sitting down at 2:45 as you would at 12. This did not happen and I am absolutely flabbergasted that a 5 Start hotel like the Four Season would even allow this to happen. A very disgruntled customer.

For once the restaurant delivered food commensurate with a 5* hotel. The mackerel starter was simple but accomplished with high quality ingredients. The turkey main was excellent and cleverly presented. Service was of the usual high standard. The only negative was the significant increase in price over the normal lunch menu and the cost for a glass of wine is a scandal. But I suppose I knew that already!

We had a lovely meal at the Wild Carrot at the weekend. We had oysters to start wioth I had a belly pork and my fellow diner a rib eye steak followed by the cheese board. The staff were lovely and very helpful and attentive. The oysters were delicious and a lovely vinaigrette to go with. My belly pork was lovely, the steak had a very large piece of inedible gristle in the middle but was otherwise well cooked and the accompaniments were very delicious especially the potatoes. The cheese board had a nice selection. I think that we were expecting a more fine dining experience for the Four Seasons but overall it was very enjoyable.

For a hotel this is a good restaurant although bar closed for a conference. Lots of waiters which are kind of bothersome. Forgot some of the food. Very expensive with low level fo choice but very high quality.

This isn’t the first or last time we will visit the Wild Carrot for the Farmers Market Sunday roast. It’s an amazing experience that’s for sure and is full of culinary delights. It’s good value for money as long as you are a foodie, if your not then don’t go is much view. Thanks for a lovely lunch

We had an unfortunate experience that one of my party had a piece of cling film left on his fish by the kitchen. This is not what we expect from a 5 star hotel - although the staff were apologetic the price we were charged we felt was wrong so we will not return or recommend to our friends and neighbours.

It was our first visit to the Wild Carrot Restaurant and Bar but we will be returning, food, cocktails, service and ambience were all amazing. We love the jazz music and had a great evening celebrating our anniversary we were made to feel very welcome.

We enjoyed the fixed price unlimited Sunday lunch offer which comes with a glass of Louis Roederer champagne. The food was very high quality for a buffet / carvery and represented good value. The service was very busy and particularly popular with families. Excellent choice of starters, roast meats, desserts and cheeses.

£160 dinner for two... not even a bottle of wine included... someone was having a giraffe. Food was decent enough but not remarkable enough to justify the outlay... and when asked what came with the sea bass "foam" didn't really cut it... could have been Fairy Liquid for sll the impact it had. Setting was ok, but a large group dominated the soundscape and quiet discourse was thus handicapped. I'd only return if someone else were picking up the tab... guess therefore that I'll not be heading back anytime soon

Everything was great until I wanted to pay the bill. I recieved the check and the staff vanished. I ultimately had to hunt someone down to pay at the till. Other than that, the meal was very good and the wait staff was attentive.

Our first time at the Four Seasons and the Wild Carrot. The two most impressive things were the warmth of the welcome from the staff in general and our waitress Stefania who in particular was excellent. Secondly the food was really tasty and well cooked. On the day we ate it was lunchtime and very quiet in the restaurant and as a consequence the ambience was somewhat lacking but we still enjoyed the experience. Before we ate we had coffee in the library which again was well served and prepared but the coffee was for me bland and too mild. At £11.50 for two cups of bland coffee we were a bit disappointed. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will go again when we have a special occasion.

Lovely place but HORRIFIC wine prices. I know “it’s not what you’re drinking, it’s where you’re drinking it. But cheapest bottle of White is around £60 and the teacupful of bog standard red by the glass I had was £14. Otherwise, usual Four seasons perfect.
