Food and service were good I thought drinks were overpriced and it was not good value for money.
Came here for my birthday meal, the food was especially exquisite, and the service was very good. The hotel is very beautiful too.
Fantastic dinner as always. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in London.
The night was beautiful. The venue is truly unique. The service was excellent, Mariana helped me choose some wines to accompany the meals, and she was fantastic!
Came for a new years eve lunch and the food was outstanding - best cod i have tasted in a long time - wonderful standard of cooking and taste.
They also catered for our 2 kids without resorting to the usual kids menu items
Service was friendly and professional - just the right balance
We had to head off quickly elsewhere but would have loved to have stayed longer for a leisurely extended afternoon
Definitely will be back
Great place for breakfast. Transport easy. Wait staff is great.
Excellent service, welcoming & we were able to take our time for a long lunch.
Amazing Michelin star level food with impeccable manners and grace
Excellent food perfectly cooked. The service was good but the ambiance was lacking through no fault of the restaurant given the current Covid climate.
Overall a good experience. Restaurant was very quite apart from the awful music play list probably the worst I have heard in a restaurant.
Food was good but a little over salted for my pallet. Service was very good. Wine was good what we chose.
Good value for what we paid.
Food was poorly presented.... Totally tasteless...
A flawless Christmas day lunch, a wonderful treat. All courses were very tasty, service was excellent, atmosphere was lovely.
Very average food for a fixed seasonal menu. Disappointing.
In terms of value for money for a Christmas Day lunch, this was a very poor experience. The food was good but far from exceptional and hardly plentiful. The general atmosphere in the restaurant was just dull. The service was poor. After we ordered, our first course arrived in about 20 mins. It then took almost an hour and 20 minutes for the next course to arrive, and then only after we complained and threatened to leave. The seating arrangements were poor too. Five of us were cramped onto a very modestly sized table. At £250 per person (not including drinks) I think it reasonable to expect a great deal more. This restaurant seems to set its prices based on location, rather than quality of experience. A very disappointing Christmas lunch.
We went for Christmas dinner and the food was very average (and a couple of bits worse than average, such as overcooked fish and a dry canelé). They charge more than double the Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to in London, but the food is nowhere near as good or as interesting. The service was pretty bad. We had to remind waiters to top up our wine, for example. (If there aren’t enough staff top up the wine, don’t put the wine bucket far from the table.) In short, this was the worst value meal that I’ve ever had.
Will visit again!
Fast, friendly, personable service with delicious food in very proper proportions.
Excellent venue for special occasions or casual dining.
Disappointed, booked for breakfast on Christmas Eve. Nothing on any web site or opentable stated times for the breakfast service, so we booked for 10.15am expecting a wonderful relaxing start to Christmas. On arrival slightly late at 10.20am having phoned the restaurant & explained that our train was delayed it was a complete shock to be told as a “reminder” that the kitchen stopped cooking at 10.30am. Had we known this we would have not chosen this venue. We opted for the full experience including the buffet. At no point when ordering we’re we told that the buffet would also be cleared away shortly. We had to actually ask to be served coffee? It was not offered? We had expected a special breakfast for £35 a head not a lacklustre hotel experience. We didn’t complain at any point because we didn’t want to spoil our “treat?” but the final straw was after paying the bill including 12.5% service charge no one bothered to say thank you or acknowledge us as we left the restaurant. Never felt less like a valued customer in any London Restaurant.
The food here is always of the highest quality. The ingredients are all cooked beautifully and although the food is based around classic ideas, everything is just spot on and turned up to number 11! The desserts are all to die for (we had one of every dessert!). The staff are attentive and Anthony the owner/chef often walks around for a chat, which really makes the whole thing feel very personal
Dissappointed welcoming services was good but stark bumpy wood tables atmosphere and food was very average. Lamb was undercooked a 3cm cut good size, but a good teaspoon of blood when cut dessert was bland, a big plate edge of tart and nothing fish was tasty but veg bland. £126 no wine no starter not the food or presentational experience we hoped for.
Absolutely lovely experience. The food - especially the mushroom tart- was spectacular. Our server, Marina, could not have been any more professional. Thank you!
Tremendous food in a lovely environment. Perhaps not as ornate as Michelin starred restaurants, but that’s not a bad thing! The wine pairing was excellent, and the English custard tart was an absolute knockout! We were just missing the pig’s head!
Exceptional food and service. Friendly staff highly recommend
Delicious food, portion sizes were perfect.
Beef was really fatty and chewy, it was my husbands 50th and I said that on the notes and they didn’t even say happy birthday or do a little dessert, wine was 78 pound and wasn’t even nice left half of it
We were treated to an excellent lunch with the Jugged Hare an absolute standout. A wonderful lunch with exemplary service. We love the setting in St. James and will be back early in the New Year.
Good food. My main complaint that it was so dark I had to use the battery candle on the table to read the menu, and see how attractive my food was! Why have pretty food if diners can't see it through the gloom?!
The four of us all had the three course lunch menu ( £35) which was excellent . Wines were a fair price and good range . Good service . Restaurant took a while to fill up in these uncertain times which made it a bit quiet at first .
Very good . Would certainly go back .
Unfortunately I have had to take to giving Wild Honey a poor review as when I emailed them to explain that I wasn’t impressed with their timings - taking bookings at 10:15 but starting to clear the continental breakfast at 10:30, making you order hot food by 10:30 before the kitchen closed, they have chosen not to respond, despite me following up twice.
Fantastic tasting menu. Everything was spot on.
Only feedback. The room was very hot. I only had a shirt on but was sweating by the end of the meal. The wine list is very expensive. Not much on offer in the value / mid price range.
Lunch menu great value for money and food was excellent. Choices for any meat, fish or vegatarian . Service outstanding, staff friendly and attentive.
Dining at Wild Honey was a absolute treat. It was our first time and we weren't disappointed. Professional service, very pleasant and comfortable airy restaurant with good spacing between tables and low noise level. Delicious food - all 3 courses, including beautifully-cooked venison for my mains. I definitely look forward to introducing more friends to this restaurant. Don't be deterred by the fact that it's within a hotel.
Very high price for disappointing food. Really nothing special at all. Hugely disappointing. Would never return.
We We arrived at 4:45 to be towed the kitchen only opens at five
Amazing value lunch menu for the quality of the food and the location. Stunning flavours, charming people, lovely setting. We shall return.
