Great place for a special occasion. I had the pork terrine , cod and tart . My wife the burrata chicken and sorbet. All nice . My only quibble would be small portion of cod. They marked my wife’s birthday with a candle on cookies.
Very attentive and sympathetic service .
Having dined here before I was looking forward to another visit. Food was ok but not marvellous. Service was fine until we wanted the bill when we were ignored for ages. A curate's egg experience.
Unfortunately the service at breakfast was very slow. The staff were pleasant enough but not a great location for a business breakfast.
We had a 8 course taster menu:
The food was great, although 4 courses of dessert was quite a lot.
The waitress serving us was very attentive and nice making it a pleasant evening.
Even though I said this was a special occasion for a 70th birthday, no recognition was given whatsoever to this.
The restaurant was empty on one side and yet we were squashed next to another table, whjch was extremely uncomfortable given we are still in the midst of a global pandemic. The staff did not ask if we were comfortable to sit there and we were not offered another table. The food was ok, but the dessert was very bland. Overall I wasn’t entirely impressed and feel my £130 was not money well spent.
Another lovely, relaxed experience at WH. Food was perfectly judged as usual and the 3 course daily lunch represents excellent value.
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Great service, excellent food and helpful staff
Excellent food. The tasting menu is good value and allows you to try a good range of things from the menu. Service was attentive and friendly. The only thing that marred our experience was being overcharged for a drink. I’m sure this was a mistake and was quickly rectified. The tables around the edge are also rather close together so you can hear the conversations either side of you.
Great set lunch menu with beautifully presented and delicious food. Nice surroundings, and the staff very helpful. They kindly allowed us to stay chatting for a long time after we finished our last course as it was fairly quiet, so we didn’t feel rushed.
Relaxed, good value and excellent service. Terrific place for lunch.
It was my first trip back since Covid...and what a delightful experience it was. Already looking forward to my next meal there. The only reason for the 4 stars for food rather than 5 was that it was very poor tomato salad served as a side dish. I'd urge the chef to have a think about this particular dish.
Was made to feel really uncomfortable on arrival. Took ages to order. our drinks were forgotten about. Asked for eggs Royal and get eggs with cold ham. Very disappointed. Won’t be back
Wild Honey was delicious and looked after us with TLC and attention to detail, even catering for an impromptu starter request!
The team deserve five stars for food and service across the board. Can't wait to revisit.
Originally I experienced Wild Honey through London Restaurant Festival Gourmet Odyssey event (also recommended)
An excellent lunch menu, beautifully cooked and presented. Excellent staff and and pleasant dining room
A really stunning tasting menu with a myriad of flavours and everything perfectly cooked. Charming, obliging and knowledgeable staff. We're not into seafood so they were happy to swap the Octopus for the Mushroom Tart, which was delicious. The total bill for two with pre-dinner drinks, tasting menu with wine came to £330 including service, which is more than I've ever paid for a meal but it really was special - and they gave us little anniversary cakes as an extra touch, which was nice.
Awful service. Unsurprisingly empty. Don’t go.
On arrival we discovered this is the hotel restaurant for the Sofitel and it has the attributes you would expect of a restaurant set up to serve a major chain hotel. Our server was fantastic, and the food was expertly prepared and presented, but the menu was limited and unimaginative in an unimaginative space. We enjoyed it and have no complaints, but the overall experience unfortunately did not match the price.
Fantastic lunch menu. Size gives you absolute comfort that everything will be perfectly cooked.
Great attentive service
Egg Custard Tart .... the best on this planet
I’m not usually a Vegetarian but I was this night. The food was just okay for us herbivores, there were very few options (counting the cheese platter). There could have been something more substantial and interesting as the meat mains (eg. lamb with the honey). Was also disappointed to have booked a table well in advance and not be informed that it was a high seating arrangement - couldn’t move as was told no tables were available but I saw an empty table of 4 behind me unoccupied the entire night (we were a party of 3). Not going to directly assume it was because I’m Indian but I didn’t see a very diverse customer base in the restaurant so the thought did cross my mind. Food took nearly an hour to arrive after ordering and dessert took over 20 minutes as well. Server was great but pretty helpless when it came to timings with food. Overall the experience I expected when I look at the restaurant from the outside was nowhere close to what I got. Not to mention the price we paid for the few dishes. Don’t think I would return. Would just keep going back to imperial treasure next door, which never disappoints.
Extremely slow service. More than 1 hour to start first dish.
Beautiful venue, well organised and friendly staff and excellent food, can't wait to return
Service was excellent. Breakfast was okay.
Great food. Nice buzz during lunchtime. Very friendly waiting staff
Food is a bit hit and miss - very rich and oily and not a great deal of choice on the menu
Outstanding food and great portion sizes.
Beautiful setting and decor.
Ideal for a business lunch or a quieter family meal.
Fabulous flavours and quality ingredients. Particularly loved the beef. Luxury setting and service attentive yet relaxed. Perfect for a special occasion.Walking distance to theatre district.
Great lactation very nice inside - menu very limited not as advertised
Had a lovely time with my friend. Would recommend.
Ordered the 8 course tasting menu with wine “pairing”. Pairing is in quotes as not all courses are actually paired with a wine. Last course never arrived. Ambiance was a nice hotel lobby.
Great meal as ever!
Lovely food, drinks, wine and staff. The sea bass was amazing as was the beetroot, black pudding and white peach starter. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is because they charged us for 2 set menus plus a la carte starter and main instead of 1 set menu. Had we not checked the bill we would have paid £27 unnecessarily.
Spacious sophisticated ambient place. Effortless service , fab food at a very good price.
Very elegant restaurant with clearly experienced staff. Food was certainly elevated in style and a sophisticated attempt at providing refreshing lunch options; however, I was underwhelmed with the overall taste balances. Expensive option, but couldn't fault the staff and service side.
Service towards the beginning of our meal was poor. We were going to the theatre and had booked our table to suit this, however as the restaurant was almost empty the servers appeared to have been given other tasks to complete and we had to push to be seated for dinner about half an hour after our booking. We had been waiting in the bar.
Once we were seated the service improved a great deal. The setting, decor and location are all beautiful.
The food was good, however perhaps not quite as good as the price would imply. I had lamb which was very rare - I had to remove large layers of raw fat which I tried but could simply not stomach. The lamb ought to have been better done, to my taste (I was not asked how I would like it cooked). Everything else about the food was lovely, particularly the cheese board and the chocolate cake dessert.
amazing experience, great service and great food
Really great experience. Lovely food and service.
