Unfortunately not what we’d hoped for. What service we did get was very nice but there weren’t enough front of house and something happened

Surprisingly excellent food all the way thru. Outstanding price value. We’ve paid double for less quality in product, presentation, and creativity.

Very pleasant service and venue.

We went to Wild Honey in its prior location in Mayfairmany times over many years. It was a beloved restaurant for us. We were looking forward to trying it in its new location when we visited London. We thought the new interior was lovely and the food was as delicious and well prepared as ever. However, the service was nothing like as professional and attentive as it had been in the past. We had an assortment of servers none of whom seemed to be focused on our table. The worst problem was that, once we had eaten our entrée, we were totally ignored. It was a very long time before anyone took away our plates and no one ever offered us a dessert menu. We became tired of waiting and simply flagged someone down to ask for our bill. We paid and left and no one even asked if we had wished to have dessert. I think that significant attention needs to be paid to regaining their past standard of attentive service.

The service both in the bar and the main restaurant was outstanding. Friendly and knowledgable staff who made recommendations based on asking a few straightforward questions about our preferences. Loved the cocktail, wine and starters (we had cace e pepo and sardines). We had the bouillabaisse for main, normally my food heaven. It was ok flavour-wise but I was expecting better and more generous amounts of fish and shellfish based on a review I’d read. It had gone a bit cool by the time we went for our second scoop of soup - cast iron may have been more practical if not as pretty as the copper pans they’d served it in.
I was delighted with the Birthday petit fours which arrived at the end of our evening 😊

Been here a couple of times since they’ve opened and had a great experience every time! Such a beautiful setting. Really warm and welcoming service. Exquisite food with seasonal ingredients. The desserts are divine! Excellent wine selection too. On my list of favourites for sure!

The lunch time menu was very limited and I would recommend that it is reviewed before booking as the options were not main stream. The mains menu included octopus and eel or mackerel or sea bass which looked farmed . It was pretentious and expensive and not to my taste. The ambiance was good and staff pleasant and efficient

Fast food, the best along with kitchen W8, club Gascon, plum and split milk, for fine dining. Better than many Michelin two star and three star

Have been to this restaurant many times before when it was the balcon. Loved that restaurant. Visited wild honey for the 1st time to celebrate my wife's birthday. A little disappointed. Food was nice but value for money was poor. Service was very slow. The restaurant was very busy so that may well have been the reason. The staff were pleasant but the popularity of the restaurant has effected the service. We ordered 2 mains and 2 sides. That came to over £100. Not really great value for money. Wouldn't go again sadly. Bring back the balcon!

Have been an Arbutus fan since they first opened in Soho. So very excited that they re-opened their doors.

The price was steep if you go a la carte and the portion was small.

Starters were nice. We had smoked eel and pig head.

However, mains were disappointing. We had the Marseilles sea food. A small pot for over £30. The broth was a bit bitter. The fish was blend and cold.

We ended up spending over £60 each for two courses without drinks.

A bit disappointed.

Had a set lunch on a Saturday. Menu is small but we both found good choices. Food was really well presented and cooked. Only small point is with the cod in Cullen Skink. The cod fillet was excellent but the CS was their take on this excellent Scottish dish.
Staff were friendly and overall a good replacement to the previous Le Balcon.

It has become less discreet as a venue, and less thoughtful as a cuisine. Was much much better at St George's Street.

The restaurant was buzzy on a Friday lunchtime. We had the set menu heritage tomatoes and sardines as starters both had amazing dressings that really made it. Then we had the cod and the lamb. Both were really good and came with some accompaniments but we ordered sides of crushed potatoes and peas and had plenty to eat. Then we had the choux bun with raspberries and cheese. Both again were excellent. I thought the set menu was excellent value. The service was really good as well attentive but not trying to up sell you.
Would definitely recommend

Wild Honey at St James was a lovely experience.
We had the lunch 3 course meal and were impressed with the flavours and quality of the ingredients.
The seam bream on a bed a delicious vegetables was succulent.
With the coffee can canale with a salted caramel truffle on the top Anthony Demetre came and chatted to us which made it all extra special

Tasty food but awfully slow.
Lunch for 2 at 12:30 on a Tuesday. Restaurant was not overly full. We ordered mains only and it took more than 40 mins for them to arrive.
The chef had a number of tables where he appeared to know the clients, and they were served ahead of us, despite arriving afterwards. So that put a negative taint on my experience.

I had originally requested a birthday cake when making my reservation but they had no record of it when I phoned them, as a precaution, the day-of. Generally they require 2 days’ warning for these things - however: the staff were wonderful, got a birthday cake ready within a matter of hours and made the occasion special.

The food and service were impeccable. The Wild Honey ice cream, replete with honey from a giant honeycomb from (strange, I know) Bermondsey was amazing.

I visited with my parents and my fiancé and everyone commented afterwards that it was a really thoroughly enjoyable night and a great meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant both for the food and for the service. The staff were courteous, accommodating and polite. The ambiance was pleasant and the whole night turned out wonderfully.

High marks were given - in particular - to the quail starter, the eel starter, the beef main course and the red mullet main course.

The experience felt intimate, luxurious, supremely enjoyable and very relaxed. Having spent half of my life in London and the other half living abroad in Los Angeles, I’ve been to a fair number of well-received restaurants and I can honestly say that this rivals the best of those.

You won’t regret giving this imaginative, satisfying and impeccably staffed restaurant a chance. Magnificent.

Great experience. The staff (including Guillaume) were fantastic. Food was delicious and also great cocktails (served with care and charm).
My only criticism would be the very limited selection of ‘substantial’ main courses for vegetarians but apart from that A+.
We will definitively be visiting again.

Absolutely wonderful food (don't miss the melon with lard, bbq quails and custard tart!) in a beautiful dining room, served elegantly but delightful staff. Pricing is fair for this quality, and good value. The wine list is interesting and staff are highly knowledgable. Wild Honey St James would be just as well-suited to a date or family occasion as to a business meal, and although it is in a hotel, it feels much more special than any 'hotel restaurant'! Will definitely return.

Disappointed with this restaurant. We were a group of four and two ordered the beef for their main. Both received their meals and they were cold. We sent them back and 10 mins later they got the same meals back - but even colder. I believe this was a genuine error and the correct re-made meals came out shortly afterwards. They did not charge us for two desserts - but regardless of the cost I would have expected a much more professional response to the poor experience and mistake. There seemed to be a lack of senior leadership.
