Excellent, good vibe amazing food, hidden gem
Lovely atmosphere and great food. Highly recommended!
Ran out of tuna belly at 19:30 on a Friday (restaurant was empty at the time).
Drinks took ages and service was erratic - teething problems possibly
Pleasant staff and nice ambience with nice meals. However, tried the pasta with truffles and was average.
Much too noisy, really hard to hear each other talking, shan't go again.
We live in the neighborhood and were happy to try out this new spot. The ambiance, decor and service are lovely! Unfortunately, the food is mediocre and quite pricey. It was a slow night and our food came out mostly cold. That seemed odd to me since we were one of the only tables. A bernaise sauce served with a filet appeared cold and from a jar. I mentioned it to staff just to offer a new establishment honest feedback and they essentially said they were surprised to hear that. They also said their sauce is served not hot nor cold but just right at room temperature. The place is beautiful. I hope the menu adjusts some so they stick around.
This new gem met all my expectations! The decor, the service, the ambiance and especially the food were outstanding! The wine list is amazing too. I can not wait to go back!
The ambience is cozy and romantic.
Food is really good, good size portions and fresh products.
A bit pricey but considering the area, it can be reasonable. Wine is a bit overpriced.
The staff is ok but I would have expected a bit more customer’s focused considering the medium-high level of the restaurant. Didn’t feel that customer care that I have experienced in other medium high level restaurants.
Overall a good experience.
Incredible wine list. Fantastic food. Great use of the space and wonderful service. Many congrats
We had a nice dinner on saturday at Wild Tavern with a couple of friend.
The beef was really good, we had 1,1kg of Rib Eye in 3.a couple of sides, one desert to share and one bottle of Nebbiolo. The service was not really good, probably the girl was new and looks she didn't know a lot about the restaurant and the menu. But she was kind so we weren't disappointed. We waited more than 40 mins to have the food and the desert "chocolate and pear" was not great, beautiful presentation but taste was nothing special. We spent £90 each and I arrived home starving. Anyway, They did a very stunning renovation and its a great place (I'm sure service will improve) but really expensive.
Excellent restaurant and great pedigree . Would recommend it anytime. Quality is unmatched and great location
Very good quality of food, all fresh. Simple but nice interior
Lovely meal, the food here is excellent. However it is very much above average pricing. If you want somewhere special to eat this is a good choice though.
Pasta with fish was quite dry
Starters were good
Every thing was amazing!
Great place, so happy to see that location finally working. Very cosy, good food, great wine lists, great wines by glass.
Asked to move to the bar after having put down the dessert spoon (1.h15min) after sitting down. Wine arrived after we finished starter. We received apology and reduced bill but this was not a place we would return or could recommend. The foot itself was fine, without being great.
Nice restaurant & atmosphere. However, the steak tasted like fish. We did not eat it, and told the waiter about it but we were still charged £120 for it.
It does not get more unprofessional than that.
Never coming back
And very overpriced
Very good, fresh, generous portions of fish - well prepared. We ordered three fish dishes and one steak dish - all of us were pleased. We also ordered 4-5 vegetable sides which were very nice and simply prepared. The wine was very nice. Service was friendly, but not very attentive especially toward the second half of the meal. We needed to wait quite awhile to get dessert offerings and the bill.
The food was amazing and the service fantastic. It is quite pricey though.
The ambience and staff were great and it’s good to see a neighbourhood style restaurant re-open on Chelsea Green. High;y recommend it.
This was our first visit to Wild Tavern. The ambience and service was great. Most of the food was delicious. The ceviche was yummy as was the truffle pasta. The tuna, however, was not very good. It smelled and tasted very fishy. I eat tuna regularly and this was not edible.
We had a very nice experience, friendly staff and good food. You are a little limited on options if you are not with a bigger group as the format caters to larger groups and sharing which is great, but limits your options if you are a couple having dinner. Great ambience though.
Beautiful restaurant very recently refurbished. Lovely atmosphere - cosy and stylish, great-looking bar, cool music. Service good but pretty casual. However the menu is a strange mix of Italian and a grill. The main problem was that the prices were off the charts for what were good but ultimately very simple ingredients and a no-frills approach in general. For that price, I would prefer to go to a more sophisticated restaurant where you get more of the trappings of a high-end dining experience.
Great Food - very relaxed atmosphere - nice place to drink and eat with friends - expensive but worth every penny as soooooo good!
Perfect restaurants close by. Good food good ambiance....
I hope next time the coffee machine works;)
A big upside surprise. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Great neighbourhood vibe to the restaurant. Great service. Food was fairly good but took ages to arrive (even on a relatively quiet afternoon). A 400g steak -prepared medium- should not take 35 minutes to prepare!
Fantastic food, great cosy atmosphere and incredible service.
The owners are making a huge effort to bring personal touches and professionalism
Need to be careful not to overbook tables: people do not like to be kept waiting 30 mins for a pre booked table
Staff very very good and George a gem
Food prices a little high as is the wine by the glass
Very impressed by Wild Tavern. The service was excellent and friendly. We received water when we sat down and provided bread while we waited for our friends to arrive. The steak and food was excellent. Loved the chips too. Will be going back.
Everything was excellent except for the filet of turbot which was slightly overcooked ...
I would have liked a choice of green vegetables - only white asparagus was offered.
But overall an excellent evening. Best of luck in Chelsea Green.
Arrived for our table on time but was sadly asked to wait at the bar for 15 minutes before being seated. After being asked if we had any dietary requirements I informed the waiting staff that I was a celiac (gluten-free). Note that it clearly states at the bottom of the menu to inform staff of all dietary requirements before ordering. Upon hearing this the member of staff appeared to not understand and went off to find a manager. When the manager returned I was told that the menu could not be adapted for celiacs and that they could not serve me. I must say this is the first restaurant in the world that has had this reaction! A complete shock in a world where restaurants strive for inclusivity
The staff were friendly, the food was good, and ambience/decoration enjoyable and comfortable. However, the branding/concept of the restaurant seemed confused; there is supposedly an Italian theme but with the exception of a few pasta dishes it wasn't clear how this was really the case. The wine list was quite over priced for what was on it - also there did not seem particularly many Italian wines on it, mostly mediocre French options. They seemed a little understaffed and the staff that was there seemed a bit stressed and stretched - though to their credit they were still friendly and helpful. This could be a very pleasant place with a few adjustments - a clear focus andconsistency in what they want the experience to be like.
Such a great experience I went twice in one week! First time was just a couple of days after opening, so I was anticipating a few hiccups - but no, service was seamless, the food was spectacular, and the whole thing ran like it had been perched on the corner of Chelsea Green for years. Can’t recommend enough, the pasta is a dream, and the white truffle taglioni is last-meal worthy! Excellent wine list, and also recommend the burrata. Fingers crossed next time I’ll finally have enough room for a pudding!
Our fish was very undercooked but besides that it’s a great place.
We went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and loved it! Rustic and elegant interior, brilliant food and great service. Achille and his team are amazing and much looking forward to returning!
