Windsor Grill Ratings and Reviews
Went with a friend for her birthday. We were given a great table in a quiet corner so we had a great time chatting away. The staff were very friendly, our waiter (Dilan, I think) was great at helping us pick what to eat and made my friend a free mocktail to celebrate her birthday. The food was delicious, portion sizes were very generous. Overall, great evening !
Exceeded expectations! Outstanding service with good recommendations on a superb off the menu shrimp starter. Perfectly executed main of Steak au Poivre, perhaps the best I've had in ANY restaurant in the UK (so MANY times I've had this dish incorrectly prepared, but it was PERFECT here, and the quality of the beef was outstanding). Very solid wine list (although they were out of my first selection) and correctly decanted and presented as well. All in all an OUTSTANDING evening and I have already recommended the Windsor Grill to several of my colleagues. Well done and Hats Off! I will return for sure the next time I am in the UK.
Lovely restaurant. I asked for a secluded table when booking and they happily obliged. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food-wise it was pretty decent, with the steak and puddings being excellent. The only negative was that they'd mixed up the steak sauces between me and my girlfriend (with my sauce already poured on we couldn't swap). Other than that we'd recommend it.
Lovely restaurant, tucked away from the Windsor we know. I and my husband usually go to eat around the castle. We enjoyed the food tremendously. Our starter arrived quickly and was well cooked and well presented. I thought it was a lovely fish platter ,but I was not blown away by it. My husband on the other hand could not get enough of it.The mains followed shortly ( even though we both ordered steaks well done). The meat was cooked well, the chips both skinny and triple cooked ones were exquisite! We both could not get enough of them. Our overall experience was very pleasant . We are already planning to go back with our children. We both loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, delicate chatter mixed with extremely professional and courteous staff! The only thing I’d like to change is the quality of the bread. From my point of view, it was stale.
Excellent food, steak cooked to perfection & great staff - relaxed & friendly atmosphere we had a lovely time on our Wedding Anniversary, even had complimentary glasses of Champagne
Staff coped really well with a drunken, rude customer on the next table - so staff tolerance really tested but they remained calm despite her profanity.
Booked for me and my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary. Lovely dinner service, in the heart of Windsor so perfect location. Up market and expensive but well worth the money I paid. A special mention to our waiter Aaron who made our meal at the Windsor Grill extra special with his attentive service and good personality. Thank you to all the Windsor Grill staff for making our anniversary special.
Visited on a Thursday night pre seeing comedian at Windsor Fire station, just across the road. Hadn't been for a couple of years, we had set menu, 3 courses for £15. Food was very good, superb quality, good choice, service attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend, although you have to have ordered before 19.00 to take advantage of the menu. If you can do that its well worth it.
Had a lovely meal at the Windsor Grill. The service is always personal and fabulous and having been let down by their supplier they were kind enough to reserve a T-bone steak for my friend after we expressed an interest on the phone and called to offer alternatives.
We received a warm welcome and were shown to our seats. Our initial drinks orders were taken promptly with cocktail suggestions taken and they tasted great. The restaurant has a warm, cosy décor. We ordered the fish platter to start which was incredible, especially the scallops. I followed this up with the steak with peppercorn sauce that was cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the mixed fish platter for main which was delicious. Apart from both being stuffed to the brim, the triple chocolate dessert (ice cream, brownie and mousse) sounded to good to pass up so we shared on. It was a great choice, the ice cream was homemade, the mousse was just set and the brownie was lovely and gooey. The staff were very friendly and attentive. overall a great experience that I would highly recommend.
This was the best Valentine's dinner I ever had. The food was divine especially massive prawns and wine was of its exceptional quality too!
We were there as a couple, at the beginning we felt a bit rushed to order, however once we ordered we enjoyed everything.
Would highly recommend.
Superb restaurant. We both loved the menu and the clean approach to the quality ingredients. The steak was the best i've had in many years. It's not just the meat which is perfectly cooked but also the accompaniments. The service was friendly and knowledgable and it was a lovely unpretentious space. We managed to work our way through most of the cocktail menue too...
