Wood & Vine
Wood and Vine is a New American restaurant and cocktail bar with a vintage Hollywood feel and expansive patio. We offer a menu of seasonal, ingredient-driven shared plates in a social atmosphere, complemented by local small batch beers and wines, and classic craft cocktails. Our kitchen is open until midnight, Tuesday-Saturday.
Waiter was great
As always the food is amazing. We were sad they were out of risotto BUT the jambalaya made up for it!
My date and I had a fantastic time here at Wood and Vine. The bartender Brandon was extremely helpful, and made us two fantastic drinks! 10/10 would recommend and will return! Food was also amazing. Love that the tip is included. Outdoor patio is super cute as welll!
Service was outstanding. Adriana to took care of us and gave great recommendations and provided s superior service in a m most welcoming manner. Will be back.
Great place for dinner. Good food and excellent service! Sadly the noise level inhibited conversation.
It was great on Friday night!
Good atmosphere and nice service w tasty food
Food was great; however small portions. Service was a little slow - but great atmosphere. Perfect for a night with friends or if you're heading or to a show at Pantages or for drinks / snacks after the show.
The food was delicious and came out quickly. Perfect for dinner before the show at the Pantages.
This place is great ! Food was so tasty and the setting was perfect for a nice meal with friends.
Consistently awesome every time we eat here before a show!!
On our way to the opera. The hostess noticed right away we were there to eat before the show and assured us we would be there before curtain. The drinks were great, the food was amazing (get a scotch egg) and the servers were thoughtful.
Great place for social dining. Have eaten here a number of times before shows at the Pantages theatre (across the street). Most plates are sharable, and are served as they are cooked (rather than served as a complete course).
The margaritas are absolutely fabulous! The atmosphere is very nice and the servers were wonderful
Enjoyed the experience of a new restaurant for us!
We sat outside. The noise from the nearby air conditioners was very annoying, plus the music was aggressive and very loud and not great for eating. The service was less than great, too - no one seemed to really be very attentive.
The Caesar salad was pretty bland. The pork shanks were pretty good, but not what I expected. And the Thai rice noodles were way too salty, and had 4 shrimp for the added protein.
The staff is absolutely amazing.
Very nice restaurant with an interesting menu. The service was friendly and outstanding. Only complaint was the very high noise level in the outside seating. Not the fault of the restaurant! There is some very loud machinery in an adjacent building. Possibly this will be quieter when the weather is cooler, since it's probably air conditioning equipment making the noise.
Wonderful! The food and drinks were amazing, and our server, Alec, took good care of us. He pointed us to great drinks, a great bottle of wine and was attentive throughout!
We had a great experience. The location was so convenient to the Hollywood Pantages. The server was so attentive to our needs to have our food out ASAP to be on at the show with a lot of time to spare. Thank you!
Always our favorite pre-theater dining choice. Wonderful food, drinks and service! Love this place!
Great food, atmosphere and location particularly if going to the theater.
Valet parking would be a great add and price range is a little on the high side but food was very good.
I went to this restaurant a few years ago with my daughter before a show at the Pantages and it had good food and service. Our recent trip did not measure up to our previous experience. Service was ok, but not as good as prior visit. The food was the big disappointment of the evening. We started off with the charcuterie (meat and cheese) plate ($28 plus tax 10% and mandatory Service fee in lieu of tipping 20% = $36+/-). The meat was pepperoni slices, ham slices and ham cubes - like lunch meat ham. It seemed very cheap. I expect a prosciutto to be in the mix on a charcuterie plate at a minimum, but it was not. The cheese was good, but variety was poor with two bries as part of the 4 cheeses on the plate. A simple dollop of apricot jam would have gone a long way on the charcuterie plate as well.
We ordered to share the main dishes/sides as recommended. We ordered the halibut, chicken & waffles and shells and cheese. The halibut was good and came on a bed of cooked spinach that was well seasoned. The chicken waffles was odd in a bad way. It came with diced sweet potato on top, but it had the look of cubed fruit (peaches?). The chicken was over cooked and I couldn't get my knife through some of it. The waffle was mushy, even before I put any syrup on it. The shells and cheese were edible, but they tasted a little chalky and the kids said they tasted smoky. They also had a crusty garnish on top that didn't really do anything for the dish. I think they can
The prices for what we got were high. I don't mind paying for good food, but paying that much for pretty bad food is always tough.
We picked this restaurant because it is right across the street from the Pantages and we didn't want to park twice or have a long walk. We would have been better off walking to Hollywood & Highland and going to a chain restaurant.
They marked us as a no-show before it was corrected, but we arrived 20 minutes late due to a traffic jam. Food was good but expensive for what we ordered. Parking was 20 dollars with a validation at the W hotel.
Our server, Aiden was amazing...a true professional. Attentive throughout the meal and excellent descriptions of both food and wine suggestions. He also helped assure that we were able to make it to the Pantages just in time!
Our 2nd Time for Dinner at 'Wood & Vine' before plays at the Pantages. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. Our server Jason was helpful and suggested a few plates we might share. We had Cocktails and shared a Scotch Egg. Ordered Beef Burger Sliders which were great and split a salad. Enjoyed our dinner and walked across the street and enjoyed 'Miss Saigon'.
From the over cooked 28 dollar fish to the deeply chipped cocktail glsss to the inedible dessert , this restaurant has lost its way,
We were there before the show at the pantages and a lot of the cliental were also dressed nicely so I assume there were there for the same reason. Walking in the front desk attendant didn’t seem very friendly nor happy that I made the reservation 5 minutes before walking in but we wanted something a little more upscale then the places next to it. When walking in my mother in law is older so I asked for something downstairs, she stated that the only option was their communal table which was outside. It was fine but we also walked by 4/5 tables that would have accommodated our party of 5 but no biggie just upsetting especially seeing that the party that took the tables finally came in when we were paid out. But the great part was the service and food!! They were on it with our water refills and checking on us. The New Standard was one of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile so compliments to the chef for that greatness. Overall places for improvement is the sound of the outside area due to the fans from the other buildings and better customer service from their front desk. Highlights are the delicious food and the inventiveness of the servers and the other table attendants. I’d visit again, just maybe when I book well in advance or don’t when I can just avoid the hostess.
We really enjoyed Wood & Vine. We had Sunday, 6:30pm tickets for Pantages and it was nice to find a restaurant that was open early enough so we could have a relaxing dinner and was also delicious! (Right across the street from the theater was also a bonus.) Opted for cocktials, Sage Advice and Accomplice were both tasty. Our server Brendan was friendly and helped us make our food choices. Since the plates are shared we weren't sure of how much to order. He recommended an entree and a side or two. Sounded good. We shared Tuna Crudo appetizer, Crisply Brussels and Roasted Sweet Potatoes sides and the Halibut entree. It was plenty of food and we still had room to share desert. Brendan recommended the donut holes and we agree. Give them a try!
We were on our way to soo Miss Saigon. I made reservations on line. Our table was ready the food and service was excellent. We tasted several dishes. Brussel sprouts, fresh fish, charred Caesar salad. All were delicious.
went with a date. We had drinks, which were good. How can u ruin a "on the rocks" Brussel sprouts were fantastic, Impossible meatballs were superb, you would never know it was vegan, and the lamb chops (which were not on the menu) were excellent. I am going back next week.
Food was delicious and very well presented. Our service was immaculate and we were well taken care of. Definitely recommending to fam and friends.
Delicious food. Perfect ambiance on the outside patio. Excellent service
Interesting that they automatically added a 20% tip for a party of four.
The shrimp and grits was an incredible treat, along with designer drinks, 2 engineers, and a butterscotch dessert that was absolutely delightlful!! Highly recommend and will return again for our next play at the Pantages.
Food and service was excellent. Wine prices were very high.
Everyone was amazing-especially Alec F. our server who took us from being stressed out to smiling, relaxed & enjoying Wood & Vine’s amazing food!
We love the food at Wood and Vine! The Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts are amazing. We love that it is right across from the Pantages Theatre. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always a pleasant place to dine.
The food was over priced & mediocre at best , few entree selections and noisy as all get out. We would never ever go back there again as we consider it a rip off. Service was excellent but not worth it paying that kind of money $$$$ when its a 1 star place. I mean 6 entrees and one was meatless vegan Italian dish and a hamburger for $24 for 2 people, and a steak dinner for 2 @ $129. And it came with cold bacon bits. What the heck do they think they can get away with it and the customer not having a buyers remorse
When I booked with OpenTable, I asked for outdoor seating, I was seated indoors and upstairs (not preferred).
Our table for 6 was a very large round table, and it was difficult to hear each other over the loud noises. Would have preferred seating that was closer more compact to allow for conversation.
The food was okay - fried chicken, average brussel sprouts.
The location was convenient to the Pantages.
