I absolutely love this restaurant it was such a beautiful evening the music was amazing the food was amazing🤩🥂
Outstanding in every way!!
Food and Service were top notch
Will be back soon
Everything was lovely! They have changed their menu up and it was delicious. They have also implemented significant social distancing efforts. We really enjoyed the evening and the cadence of the dinner and service was great too.
Per usual Woodberry Kitchen was amazing tonight. Even with the Covid-19 restrictions they did an excellent job of being safe and providing excellent service. This restuarant never disappoints and is on par or even better than experiences at Rose's Luxury and other top notch restaurants. Their strict adherence to quality local sustainable food is impressive. I highly recommend dinner here!!!
Great service, very nice venue outside, but very expensive limited menu - $30+ tacos, $40 crabcakes (not jumbo lump meat) - with "good not exceptional" food quality. An important Baltimore "gem" and worth supporting, but be aware the typical Woodberry Kitchen food experience does not seem to be possible right now.
Absolutely phenomenal by all measures. A thoughtful and delicious dining experience beyond compare. Hands down the most effective, safe, and enjoyable night out during COVID-19. Simply outstanding!
So lovely to be able to return to Woodberry Kitchen. Clearly, everyone was doing their utmost to keep everyone safe and comfortable, while providing the level of service and excellent food WK is known for...the covered patio was a delightful setting for a perfect meal.
Hi, Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy to be hosting guests again on the patio. I'm glad you were able to join us, and I hope you'll come visit again soon. Sincerely, Sarah
The popcorn was not seasoned or flavorful at all. Had to request water. Other than that everything was more than delightful. No mention of our occasion for visiting on this evening.
Great experience all around. Pricey. Worth the money.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. What a way to birthday brunch !!
Apple Sazerac and Pushing Up Daisies cocktails were great.
Stated with the clams from the oven, carrots from the oven, and the cornbread. Wow!
The wood-oven on-the-bone ribeye was great, and the lily gilded with the crab, brussel sprouts, and silky potatoes.
Second best meal we’ve had in 2020.
Just wanted to have a nice date night. Everyone was amazing!
Tristan was our waiter and he made great recommendations and never rushed us which made the evening so enjoyable. Morgan made some wonderful wine recommendations. I love that they sell wine that you would not normally drink. We got to try some new great flavors! Woodberry is one of our favorite restaurants and we have never had a bad experience. We look forward to them opening again!!
This meal was not our first meal at Woodberry Kitchen. Everything was great for the most part. Our waitress was nice, the food and dessert were delicious. During our previous dining experience, the barista had made our normal drinks with flair. Our iced teas were shaken and slightly frothy our after dinner chai was infused with maple and a cookie. We thought we would experience the same thing with this meal. We did not. It just took away from the experience and left us feeling let down and slightly disappointed. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the evening memorable. Otherwise, an overall good experience at the restaurant.
Unique artisanal meals and cocktails, always delicious!
Great food, wine and service! Woodberry Kitchen is our go-to spot for special occasions. They never disappoint.
Awesome as ever. Food, service, drinks, ambiance terrific
Brunch was a bit disappointing this time. My croque madame sandwich tasted a bit burned, and the egg was overdone on my wife's grits dish. For small expensive portions I expected better. Dinner here in the past has been amazing, may try that again, but I think I'll skip brunch here next time in favor of a place that specializes in it more.
Excellent food and drinks. Woodberry definitely sticks to their rules for local sourcing of ingredients.
Whole grilled fish is a must have.
We have been there on several occasions and have always been thrilled with the food. On this occasion, in addition to the food, the service rose to exemplary. Starting with the free valet service, to the hostess, Sara and our waiter, Frank Lazzaro and all the other wait-staff, the food was severed expeditiously and made to the customer's liking. We found the bar selections, funky and DELICIOUS. There were several simultaneous birthday celebrations and it seemed that all were in a joyous mood. The food was plentiful, delicious and served straight from the oven. Desserts were a fine way to cap off a wonderful evening.
We have had prior good experiences at the Woodberry Kitchen, but this time was a disaster. We had early reservations at 5:30 yet when we tried to order the large format steak and crab imperial we were informed it was sold out. So 3 of our party of 5 ordered the individual steak dinner and all 3 were not edible. The steaks were so tough they could not be eaten. All were served cold and one was literally raw. We complained to the waitress and manager and refused to pay for the bad steaks. We had ordered lots of appetizers most of which were OK. The oyster chowder was very good. Baked clams and oyster pies were just OK. Mixed drinks were poor at best. About half way through our meal the bar area became so overcrowded that it was ridiculous. They had us near the bar so the noise level and number of people standing over our shoulders was obnoxious. We will not be going back any more and we cannot recomend it.
Very much enjoyed our visit to Woodberry Kitchen for an early lunch/brunch. Large selection of special items on the menu.
Saw on Best Thing I Ever Ate w Duff Goldman. Nice, modern space in old mill area. Some dishes contrived; trying to be something new and different. C.M.P dessert nothing special after you crack the sugar top. Ice cream house made was good.
This was a good meal but I wasn’t blown away for how much it cost. Definitely a cute spot but wouldn’t recommend for the food - more the ambiance.
Attentive and friendly staff, amazing cocktail menu, and a delicious array of dishes made of locally sourced ingredients!
Second visit and had a wonderful meal, we love this place the setting is truly awesome and everyone is so accommodating.
A fantastic night out, the experience was amazing! The scene was beautiful and the staff was absolutely perfect. Any plate that you were done for they moved it out of the way for you instantly and refilled your beverages the second they noticed it was running low. The food tasted completely delicious and the coffee being even better!
Love Love Love!!!
Wonderful brunch. Excellent service. A definite addition to our favorite place to eat list.
We tried Woodberry for brunch recently. I have been wanting to eat here for a while but the consistent reviews on the lower end of the scale prevented that. After relenting, we thought we would give it a go. Overall, like most of the other critical reviews, our experience was "meh" and I won't be going back.
Food: I had the Croque Madame which was very tasty. But this is all that was really good. Also ordered the cheese grits, which were under-seasoned/ needed salt (of which was not on the table). Also ordered was the trout benedicts which were sent back - the whole wheat bread was toasted beyond edibility - hard, dry, tough, difficult to eat. The deviled eggs were just ok (I have made much better at home) and only 3 came in an order for a table of 2 (for $9 - an egg and a half for $9). For a larger table or for a table that wants an extra egg (per the manager), an order is 4 (at the same price); if that makes sense, I don't know what does.
Ambiance: Very noisy and busy. Pretentious. This is a place for yuppies who don't know truly good food and want to be seen. Nothing wrong with that, just stating it for what it is.
Cost: Exorbitant for what it is. The food is just ok but way over priced.
A lovely time with family over a delectable brunch menu and cocktails. The service was warm and the location/space has a good vibe. A place to visit again.
My husband and I had a great brunch meal at woodberry. The wait staff was great, friendly and attentive. I think the only negative comment I have is for all the care they take to make sure the food is locally sourced we were surprised that we were given a plastic straw instead of paper. To us it sends a mixed message. We did tell staff but think it’s worth mentioning. The little details are what really show your commitment.
Great place for Brunch, however don't order the $4.00 donut. Arrive cold, average at best.
Love Great food, hate wasting money. So many other choices on the menu.
Anniversary dinner. Our wait staff was terrific and enhanced the great food
The food this time around was spicier than it has been in the past - lots of fish pepper and chiles. The server was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He took quite some time describing the entire menu. The cocktails were fabulous; they are probably my favorite part of the experience.
Every time that I fly from Europe to Baltimore, I try to have dinner at Woodberry Kitchen and take a friend or family member to discover the amazing taste experience and friendly, informal, staff
Again, a top evening; Thank you, team woodberry kitchen
Marc, It was a treat to meet you and we are so happy you had a great time! Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes from all of us at Woodberry!
This restaurant is my favorite. The food and presentation is outstanding. I had the whole sea bass and it was outstanding. The desert I understand is famous which I heard after we got it . The chocolate ice cream sundee has been on the cooking channel It was outstanding. I am sorry that you now charge for bread. At your prices you should make the bread part of the meal. The waiter was a pleasure and I am sure we will be back
Staff was warm and friendly and as usual, the food was excellent!
As a long time resident, I have known about Woodberry for years, and was glad to finally get a chance to go there. Sadly, on the whole, I was particularly underwhelmed. The service was good but pretentious and a little intrusive, as if the lengthy explanation of the kind of pepper they used was of critical importance. The martini one of us ordered came without either olive or lemon peel because these can't be "sourced" locally. The industrial space was hip, but lacked anything to absorb sound, making it difficult to hear each other. Most important of all - the food was not that great. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing that was "bad" per se. It just wasn't memorable, or even above average. I have turned out far better stuff from my own kitchen, and Woodberry's offerings were no more impressive than I have had at a well run diner. At the end, for 4 cocktails, a bottle of wine, 3 appetizers and 4 entres, we were presented with a nearly 400 dollar bill. I've eaten haute cuisine at the Eiffel tower (yes, the one in Paris) for less. On top of that, at their prompting (how thoughtful!) I let them know that yes, this was a special occasion - a leap year birthday. Since they had asked, and indicated they remembered it when we arrived, I suppose my expectations were raised a bit, and I was anticipating something extraordinary like a comped bottle of champagne or maybe a special little cake. But at the end of the meal the birthday boy was treated to a very small scoop of ice cream on a plate with "Happy Birthday" drizzled in chocolate. Again - about what I would expect at a diner. So, to recap - service, acceptable but annoying, food, adequate but unremarkable, ambiance, so so. Cost - outrageous. I honestly don't get what all the fuss is about. I will not be going back.
Great service and delicious food!
Best trout dish ever! The staff was top notch with so much knowledge of the dishes....
