Lovely Christmas dinner, very polite efficient service. Food very tasty, maybe a few more veggies in a side dish but we all thoroughly enjoyed it, first time ever been out for Christmas Dinner xxx thanks so much
A lovely Christmas dinner, 7 courses but the portions were just the right size to fill us up without overdoing it. Very well cooked and presented.
Christmas Day dinner was wonderful! We had at least seven courses which was excellent value for money. We had a wonderful dinner and brilliant service. I would just suggest perhaps a little louder music or a piano to play to create more of a lively ambience. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food and drink
A pre Christmas lunch, dining off their seasonal se menu which was excellent VFM. There was a wide choice of dishes throughout all three course with coffee and mince pies included. The dining room had a decent ambience even given the appropriate Covid19 provisions. All the staff were friendly and fully Covid compliant. It was well worth the visit and we’ll be back once things return to normal.
Sat outside under heaters. Food was amazing and staff were good
Two of us had brunch, one the full English, the other Eggs Benedict. Both meals were delicious and the service was excellent. As an added bonus, the restaurant was beautifully decorated ready for Christmas, as were the tables. We’ve now booked for Christmas Day lunch.
As usual couldn’t fault anything.
The staff, the food 5*
Consistently great !!!
Service was excellent, our waitres was friendly helpful , efficient, checked we had everything and we were happy . The location is beautiful, the heaters in the garden are a lovely touch. The Barman was chatty and helpful. All round excellent experience - we will be back.
Both had a pizza and they were fabulous. Pepperoni and goat's cheese.
Delicious food, attentive staff and lovely decor made for a wonderfully socially distanced yet festive meal. Managed to sort out some last-minute Christmas presents too!
The Christmas Menu was poor value for what was advertised. The service was slow and staff continually apologised for this aspect. The
Venison was tough and we politely pointed this out .
The bill was considerably overcharged and we had the excuse that the terminal was faulty sadly this spoiled the festive feel , we will not sadly be returning any time soon
The quality of food at the Fur & Feathers is excellent with some different dishes on the festive set menu. As there are a limited number of choices we were disappointed that one of those dishes was not available - even though we were eating at 6.30pm. Also when one of our party ordered a double spirit drink there was only one measure left in the pub. A bit surprising at a busy time of year. Other than that the meal was delicious and will certainly return.
Excellent service, meal was tasty and well, presented. Nice friendly atmosphere. It was so good we booked up for the Xmas meal next week.
Bar and restaurant staff were excellent and the food was lovely, ideal to brighten up a dull December lunchtime, If only the Shop staff were as welcoming.
My Mum and I turned up for lunch on a Tuesday, so there weren’t many covers and it was quiet. To find out that there was a set Christmas menu (with plenty of choices) as well as the usual Bar menu.
We did not intend to go for a Christmas roast, but both had the Roast Turkey. Not normally my choice as over the years I have been disappointed. However the offering at the Fur & Feather Inn was superb. All the expected trimmings were served, with each one perfectly cooked. The main player of Norfolk Turkey was also wonderful.
Not only was the presentation and standard of the food excellent, but the amazing portion size made one feel that it was the 25th December and the Queens Speech was about to be watched.
Overall it was a real unexpected, early Christmas celebration.
Food and presentation was very good, with friendly and welcoming staff. Will be looking to book again
Normally okay but Xmas menu disappointing starter good main course Luke warm not up to their usual standard.
Great choices for vegetarians and meat eaters, very enjoyable
Beautiful setting inside and outside of this cosy village pub. The staff were super polite and helpful and were very good with our little 6 month old. The food was homemade and absolutely delicious. The beer choice with it being a brewery next door was fantastic and I liked how their beer was interpreted in to their food menu too hence why I chose the game and ale (Nelson) pie. Thoroughly recommend and we will certainly be returning. Thank you for a brilliant meal out especially during these troubling times. See you soon!
We visited this pub as we live locally! The staff were very friendly and helpfull. We had the 4 course Meal which was really good (Compliments to the Chef)
good value for money.
They adhered to Covid rules
They have a lovely outside Area Decorated with lights
We will be back
Most expensive pint of Wherry in Norfolk despite making it next door. Beer is Too class but food very average. Staff more interested in selling food than beer ... management strange attitude ... if they ever have it on Mardlers is the Best Pint of Mild that you will find anywhere on the planet ...
Living local thought we’d pop in here after the reopened post second lockdown on Thursday lunchtime place was really dead understandably but the servers were great very attentive but not overly which would have been easy to do with it so quiet. Both ordered burgers and they were absolutely delicious really hit the spot! New Christmas ale is also a must have. Had a great chilled chat after the meal with the server we felt nice and relaxed here.
Food was excellent as always but service was quite slow, staff very pleasant and professional but service was quite slow considering it wasn't that busy, might be as it was the first day open after lockdown, food was amazing
Been here a few times since COVID started. The have nailed the service now. Great local.
The food was poorly cooked, unseasoned and over priced. Stop trying to be a gastro pub.
Fabulous rural location and onsite brewery is a great start to lunch. Food sounded better than it tasted - not sure if chef had an off day. Beer was delicious
Great staff trying so hard in these difficult times.
Had the suet pudding which was lots of pastry - could have had a bit more filling but my husband enjoyed it none the less. My steak and ale pie was lovely- great chips too
Enjoyed returning after 20 years! Bigger than before but still great choice of beers and excellent food. Substantial portions - which pleased my 16 year old who ate his pizza and half his sister's mac and cheese! Would definitely return again if we are in the area.
having dined there a few times over last couple of years decided to return after a visit a few weeks previous and having had a good meal, decided to to return for another meal. Ordered same meal as previous visit but this time food was terrible, chicken had burnt tramlines on it from the grill and no avocado, suppose to be chicken and avocado. Spoke to waitress who said they would replace it, waited about 15 minutes for replacement to arrive. My replacement eventually arrived ,with avocado !!! but chicken slight less burnt and very dry , could not eat it, complained to waitress who apologised again. My partners steak was also very dry and tough, we complained and was given a discount on the meal. Would have had a dessert but could not trust food and also long waits between food orders put us off. Have been here a few times in the past and having enjoyed the food, but this has definitely has put us off returning.
Went for sunday lunch 1-11-20 to celebrate fathers in laws 96 birthday .. the experience was less than enjoyable.
Tough steak was served they agreed to change thus took over 20 minutes and looked like it had been sitting under a heater lamp for a while by this time we had all finished. It took another 25minutes for plates to be cleared and dessert offered then only two plates taken. We did get a reduction on the steak but no real apology no management got involved just left to the young staff on duty to sort.
A VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE ☹️
We had a great tasty Sunday lunch with excellent service I couldn't fault the service and the covid safety precautions. Can't wait to visit again
The food we ordered was plentiful and very tasty. Nice and hot and delivered in an acceptable timeframe. Lots of people there, all enjoying good food and service.
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, very Covid secure. Food was all delicious.
Great evening. Faultless food. Haven't been for a while, but every bit as good I remember Thank you
Great food, great lager/cider. Very friendly quick service, what more can I say, will definitely be back.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Lovely beer and excellent ale. Highly recommend for food!
Our only issue was the terribly slow drinks service - we had to ask for a drinks order 3 times before it arrived (25 minute wait) and another drinks order twice.
Fabulous food, went for Sunday Roast & had to book another evening for the Dinner menu. Super service and really well trained “Covid-safe” staff. Only negative feedback is you cannot tip the staff through the credit card system which is a shame as service was really good.
Finally Champagne sorbet....wow!
Excellent food. Service was very friendly and accurate but on the slow side.
Interesting a la carte menu and good bar menu. Very good flavours. Great beer!
