Will definitely be going back excellent food lovely staff .would recommend to friends .
The gentleman's afternoon tea was not as advertised. No pork pies, scotch eggs or charcuterie.
Mostly cheese and some other sandwiches was provided.
Despite that it is a wonderful venue and there is a great choice of ales.
Arrived early but were shown to table.Drinks ordered and arrived quickly.Menu was Ok although maybe another dish dish for main would have been good. Modules were great and so were the mains
Although at 1st they couldn’t find my booking, the service was excellent and food was very good
Lovely outdoor eating area within beautiful settings.
Disappointed with the portion sizes of the starters and how small the pie of the day was!!! The halloumi was delicious and so were the pizza’s just could have been hotter.
Great pub but the service has a tendency to be quite slow, this could be due to the staff finding its feet again post lockdown. We’ve returned three times though abs the food is really quite outstanding.
Pub grub in very pretty setting... bit muddled to start about who was serving us (we were indoors whilst most were outside) but that was soon sorted out.
The service was excellent, the food delicious and great value for money. Lovely atmosphere and loads of outdoor space. Highly recommend!
Plenty of outdoor tables for distanced eating and drinking.
Poor service - staff had no idea what they were doing. Poor management for failing to actually manage them by giving each staff member a role. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. Waited another 45 minutes for our food. Lovely food but service was a serious let down.
Your restaurant wasn’t clean, tables floor dirty. Staff pleasant but indifferent.
Food ,fish and chips very nice but burger and the pie not good.pie very tiny
hardly any meat soggy mess for pastry potatoes old not new.
Won’t hurry to come back. Always had nice food before, lovely setting
for pub. Disappointed.
A big disappointment. We were told there was a one hour wait for food, despite booking and turning up on time. This was after we’d ordered drinks! In the end it wasn’t that long but what came was mediocre at best. They asked if we’d like the bill before they’d cleared the mains, not even considering we might like dessert and / or coffee. We felt they could’t wait to get rid of is. Despite this we popped in to the brewery shop to buy some beer, but it was unattended and we couldn’t get served. It seemed like a very badly run place. Wouldn’t consider going again.
I cannot comment on the food because we didn’t end up eating there because everything we wanted on the menu had sold out. I understand it was bank holiday Monday but when the waitress tells you that they have taken double bookings and that’s why there is no food it is awfully disappointing. I understand that they need to get there money back after being shut but you are losing customers to lack on care and attention to people who had booked. The waitress came back 3 times to tell us what we ordered we couldn’t have anymore because they had ran out. In the end we gave up and had to find somewhere else to eat. 4 of the mains that we tried to order had ran out and then the pie changed twice. The service has always been slow here but food excellent but I’m afraid we will not be returning. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful setting. We also didn’t get asked to scan in via the track and trace app which going to other restaurants/pubs this is the first thing they ask you to do. Really disappointing.
Took 20 mins to get our firsts drink brought to the table, then another hour for our main course. "Home made" steak and ale pie was very similar in appearance to a pie you would get in a low end supermarket and was around 1 inch thick. The filling was good though and the lamb kebab starter was nice. Very pricey for the standard though and had to get up and ask for another drink after trying to get their attention for 20 mins.
There were three tables being used in the restaurant so no excuse really.
The location of the pub & brewery is fabulous. It was great to sit outdoors in lovely surroundings and have a good meal served with wonderful own-brewed beer.
Our waiter was super friendly and professional. This was our first meal out since lockdown and we very much enjoyed it
Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to serve our drinks and food. They were very busy but just looked after us throughout our meal
Nice food in a beautiful setting. A bank holiday in the sun in the pub garden here is good for the soul.
The food, drinks, service and setting was fantastic.
Marked down slightly as the menu implies that when you add chips to the sandwiches, you also still get the crisps and coleslaw of which we didn’t have any crisps.
Also, we were one of the first customers there that day and one of the ladies toilets had no toilet roll in and the other only a little. However, I did mention to staff that the ladies needed more paper and they sorted it straight away. I would just expect this to have been spotted before opening.
Overall a great pub with great food and service. Will be returning.
Worst service, food came before drinks! Peas and chips were cold.
Not quite knowing what to expect it was a pleasant surprise to arrive at this wonderful countryside brewery with a lovely beer garden; even a sizeable playground. We were seen to our table in a very Covid safe way. The atmosphere was great, it was extremely family friendly and the menus looked good. But sadly that's when it went pair shaped. The Cauvery was until 5pm and we had arrived shortly after. Half an hour wait for drinks, then after we'd ordered our food we noted others received their roast. There were staff milling around everywhere, all using iPads but sadly the tech didn't create efficiencies. The staff were rushed off their feet gathering in huddles and cross checking and all looking pretty stressed out. Our food arrived nearly two hours after we arrived. The kids pizzas are not as we were led to believe and the pizza we thought we ordered was more like a Tesco frozen without the toppings as expected. It was a little Fawlty Towers I'm afraid. I do hope it was an off-day. I will say we were discounted for the inconveniences but would much rather have ordered the Sunday roast, and had it within even 45 minutes. Better luck next time.
Lovely setting, attentive staff and the food was absolutely delicious! Whole trip was faultless
On arrival at 4pm to eat outside (walk-in) we were told that unless we had booked, we could not eat as fully booked. I then went online, booked for 4.15 for 4 and tried again and was told that it was now ok to eat. I actually booked an outside table online but we were given an indoor table. Difficult times but booking system seems counter productive. We then met others who had booked but were still turned away.
Roast was very good but veg was more hard than aldente.
Very organised despite being extra busy (bank holiday weekend - Sunday) ... glad we had booked although some people without booking managed to get a table (but only just!). Service friendly, Sunday roast really good 👍😊
Fantastic service. Easy booking for tables. Friendly staff
Poor poor service from the wait staff and the drinks/bar staff. Slow and disorganised, however, lovely food!
Roast Beef and Roast Pork beautiful. Yorkshire Puddings the best but the sticky toffee pudding was out of thus world. We could not fault anything with the lunch we had. We will be back 11/10 fabulous meal
Food was good but menu could've been more extensive & burger was not big enough!
Good food and service in a nice setting. Shame some customers thought it was ok to walk round indoors without a mask.
Service very slow, poor, not asked for any extra drinks, food took an hour and a half to come, chips cold, onion rings missing and one order wrong, on arrival staff didn't know where to seat us, left us stood around for 5 mins, people walking out because wait so long, too busy to cope, food far too slow!
It was a lovely sunny day and staff were a.bit overwhelmed when we arrived. Took quite some time to get our drinks. Beer pleasant but nothing out of the ordinary, partners fancy label soft.drink not as nice as cheaper supermarket version. Food arrived quickly. Main course pleasant but.not outstanding. Puds were good. Wouldn't particularly recommend but equally, nothing really bad.
Very good & reasonable with good ales will revisit
Lovely food, great service. Shop was great, chips delicious.
Birthday meal for my husband with 4 friends (1st meal out since Nov). Attentive and quick service, food lush although portion sizes could have been larger, and 1 meal missed off, but didn't take long to sort. Will be back to try the pizza's, they looked lush.
The Fur & Feather is perfectly situated, the food is good and of course great beer.
I would have given it a solid 5 star review if it wasn't for the fact that I'd prefer to keep this little gem a secret!
Had to send my food back twice..the salad was gritty when i eventually got a replacement it was missing half the items ( no olives boiled egg sundries tomatoes) so I gave it back in The end I had no lunch as the others had finished . They offered to take it off my bill😥
Will not be returning any time soon
We were served by Lydia who was very polite and helpful, the food was amazing with generous portions. There is nothing negative To say about any part of our meal.
Very tasty food, but perhaps slightly expensive. Good gluten-free options (I have coeliac disease) and very accommodating.
Good selection of beers from brewery, food standard pub grub but very greasy. Young staff not very attentive and hard to get their attention
