Our second visit to Woodies and absolutely loved it. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was lively and their service was top notch. Highly recommended.

We have missed our regular visits to Woodies during lockdown so were thrilled when we were able to return once more, to eat al fresco. It was so good to be among friends again and the food is even better than we remember, thanks mainly to Ian in the kitchen. It has been so well thought out and thank goodness for the Beer Garden, which has been extended. All safety precautions were in place Covid wise, as they were before this last lockdown, and it was enjoyable to be outside with the views that we had. The lights which came on as dusk drew near made it feel like Christmas. We are now eagerly awaiting our next visit. We have never been let down and Woodies feels like our second home with everyone looking out for each other. Family friendly and dog friendly Woodies has something for everyone. So good to be back there.

It was cold of course but light. The plastic wind protection would be better transparent to enable a better view of the sports ground

It was very organised. We felt safe all COVID rules were in place .There was a pleasant atmosphere. It was clean service was very efficient and friendly. It was lovely to see people out enjoying themselves after all this time . It was a cold evening but there was measures in place to keep people comfortable.

Couldn’t fault the staff but (no one’s fault) sitting outside was freezing, food (good) went cold, couldn’t help but hear other conversations and zero view

Excellent all round great to be back at the pub after such a long time , food drink and service very good would recommend for any occasion , staff extremely courteous nothing too much trouble.

Great pub, great food and amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Even accommodated our request to move our table into the sunshine.

We had a fantastic family meal when the pub opened. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and large portions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of space between tables ( social distancing, well observed).
I would definitely recommend.

We are long-standing regular customers and Woodies is our favourite place for lunch. It's good to be able to book an outside table at present and we already have a date fixed for our next visit!

Just exactly what my brother and I needed. A safe well run friendly establishment to enjoy a good catch up. Very pleasant staff and excellent well priced menu of favourite meals.

Had a lovely meal here but due to being with someone from another household we had to sit outside, there was a heater but it didn’t give out much heat so we were very cold.

Good food served by friendly and capable staff. It was a very cold night and because of covid we were outside. Hope to be back after latest lockdown and hope their heaters have arrived by then!

Decent food and good venue. Only flaw was having to wait a while to get drinks but they are having to cope with table service for the first time.

We like the quirkiness of Woody's, it never fails to please. We booked fairly early (7pm Sat) in the hopes it would be quiet and it was. Decent grub and reasonable prices, as always. Thank you!

As always I only have good things to say about Woodies. I had Sunday lunch there with a friend; roast beef and all the trimmings - absolutely perfect. As our area is in tier 2 COVID restrictions I can only meet friends outside so Woodies has been my savior because of outside, undercover dining space. Wrap up warm though as the days are so much chillier now. I heard on the grapevine that they may be installing outside heaters so that will be a real plus. Until then it’ll be scarves and wooly hats.

Having to sit outside wasn't such a pleasant experience as it was cold and very breezy. It hopefully be better when outdoor heaters are provided - especially at the most extreme ends of the open marquee

Woodies has become such a favorite place to eat for me, and even more so now that COVID restrictions prevent us from eating inside. Woodies has an outside marquee and whilst it’s advisable to wrap up warm to eat outside it’s very doable.

Try their fish and chips and their roast on a Sunday - delicious!

I had gammon, eggs and chips and was a bit surprised that the fried eggs were almost cold. Couldn't really complain as the value was excellent. Service by Emilie was delightful.

I love coming here. Food great, staff brilliant and so friendly and all COVID rules adhered to so it feels safe. The outside undercover area is perfect now that some of us cannot meet inside. I’ve been 3 times this week and lunch booked for Sunday - it’s perfect.

Service excellent and the staff were friendly and quick. Only downfall apple crumble needs more that and egg cup full of custard.

We felt safe, not too close to other customers. We were in the veranda which was airy and warmed up after a while. Food was typical pub grub.

Always love going to Woodies and will be going again next week

Brilliant, friendly and unique with fantastic menu

Small menu but good choices for most people, Staff very friendly and helpful with good service. My friend and I felt very safe and at this present time that's not easy in some places!
