This was my second visit and although I really enjoyed the food. The service was very poor. We obviously where the last table booked that evening everyone had switched off and was waiting to get sent home even though still a few tables in the restaurant. We received our side order after we finished our meal as it had been forgotten and we had to ask for it. Our waiter had no interest he came sheepishly clearing our plates with our one word to us. I’m guessing this was as he forgot the side order. We then had to ask for dessert menus. I watched the chefs working hard and creating dishes and I felt sorry for them because the floor staff didn’t have the same love serving us.

Really enjoyable Sunday lunch - my brother was over from Copenhagen with a friend where they have some excellent restaurants, and they were very impressed. It was one of our best meals at Wreckfish.

Having eaten here in the evening on a couple of occasions, I decided to try Sunday lunch. The roast beef was excellent with roast potatoes, carrot and swede puree, greens and an enormous and very light Yorkshire pudding. A party of Frenchmen on the next table had the belly of pork which looked very good too.
There is a reasonable selection of wines by the glass if, like me you're eating alone, but the general wine list looks quite interesting.
Service is efficient without being intrusive so you are not being asked if everything is OK every other mouthful.
This was my fourth visit and I shall certainly return whenever I'm in Liverpool.

The big spoiler for our visit was the state of the toilets that were stinking and dirty and when we mentioned it to the waiter he said they were aware and the toilets had been flooded on a couple of previous occasions which was there was a horrible smell so why was no-one there trying to make them better?? The food was good with lots of choices for meat, fish eaters and vegetarians alike with nice combinations of flavours. The waiting staff were efficient but not that welcoming and not particularly helpful - they seemed to their job but definitely didn't go the extra mile.

Great food and even better service. We opted for the seas bass and feather blade steak, which were both amazing. Our third time at Wreckfish and certainly not our last.

Great restaurant well located for the hotel we were staying.
It was the 3rd time we had visited and it was as good as the first visit.

We had a lovely meal at Wreckfish. There were lots of tempting choices on the menu and the sea bass starter was superb, whilst the beef was exceptional. Great selection of wines to choose from too. The atmosphere was pleasant and I liked the open-plan kitchen. Service was excellent throughout.

The only slight drawback was the temperature; we were sat close to a service door that brought a cool draught through into the main dining space. This draught was exacerbated by the main entrance door periodically opening, creating a through-breeze!

We’d definitely recommend the place and I’m sure we’ll return.

Seated on ground floor which was very nice. Thought the use of bar spoiled the ambience of the restaurant just a little. Would it not be a better idea not to have the bar and have more tables?

My partner and I came to WreckFish to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time.

The food is excellent, the service is great, and the small touch of a complimentary anniversary plate from the restaurant was a really nice touch.

Thanks so much for a lovely evening!

The ambience is hot and smell fish and beef, besides is too smoke. The food is good, but the price is too high for the quality.

Wreckfish came highly recommended and it did not disappoint.
The food was amazing.
I had the Braised beef, and my partner had the Salmon.
Both of which were Excellent.
I can not recommend Wreckfish enough.

Our first time at this restaurant, after being highly recommended by friends.
An enjoyable experience as far as the food was concerned, but the service was very disappointing.
Our waiter made very little effort to engage, during our ordering and the serving of our meal.

I booked a 2.30pm slot online only to be told on arrival that the kitchen takes last orders at 2.30pm. My friend and I were given about 10 minutes to place our order from an unknown menu. Our waitress was very helpful and handled my complaint very well. I didn't like anything on the fixed menu so I ordered the pate and halibut. Pate was ok but bread was too oily and my fish was tasteless, served with a tiny piece of potato and a chunk of fennel that was so tough, stringy and disgusting I had to remove it from my mouth being unable to chew it sufficiently. I won't be going there again any time soon.

As per usual the night at Wrekfish was faultless. Busy and buzzing the atmosphere is great and ever changing menu means the food is never boring.
Been here loads of times and will keep coming - favourite place to eat by far.

What a wonderful restaurant. very attractive and very clean. It felt quite intimate but not so much that it wasn't comfortable for two friends catching up.
The food is amazing - some of the best I have ever tasted. I am 60 and have eaten in a lot of restaurants.
The cocktails are a bit different - I had one with vodka, grapefruit and rosemary which is delicious.
The staff are lovely and didn't make us feel rushed - we were talking a lot!
The background music was good and not so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves.
It was my birthday and I was brought a decorated plate with home made fudge and honeycomb - bliss.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely return even if not for a special occasion.
Thank you Wreckfish - see you soon.

We went for lunch. The choices on the fixed price menu were a bit limited, but then that's personal preference. My husband didn't see anything he liked so he had the shin beef off the main menu, which was excellent. The portion size was a bit large for me. All courses were tasty and well presented. The glazed carrots were very good. The wine was on the expensive side but reasonable choice. Service was excellent and friendly.

We had brunch for the second time and we were not disappointed. Beautifully cooked, fresh produce. We had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with toast, smashed avocado, poached eggs with bacon on sourdough and pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. Highly recommend. Thank tou again Wreckfish. Great service as usual.

Had a table booked for 4people. I was looking forward to a nice meal with my friends .
We were taken downstairs to our table.
The was bad smells from your toilets. We were sat not far from the toilets and it was rather unpleasant. Then food wasn’t up to expectations when it arrived. Portions were too small and we waited over 45 Minutes for our main ,my friend said the Salmon was very dry and my Halibut fish was very small and not enough food on the side. Our bread didn’t turn up as I asked on two occasions.
Also there were4 Ladies on the round table next to us not far from the toilets and they said the smells were bad. I asked the waiter about the smells and she replied she couldn’t smell anything.
We paid the bill and left a £10 tip .
My Brother recommended me to eat at the Wreckfish as he has eaten there several times .
But overall we were disappointed with our experience .
