Service excellent waiter funny 😂 and knowledgable, not sure about the sauces going on with the beef.
All the dishes were both interesting and delicious. It was easy to have a conversation. The service was good and not intrusive.
Just brilliant, food, service and atmosphere. No more to be said.
Tasty food. good quality. took some time to bring mains. friendly service. good ambiance.
Lovely meal, would have been perfect if fish could have been de-boned in the kitchen, but the chef said he was too busy.
Had a wonderful night, food was amazing. Really nice choices . Staff were attentive and friendly.
It was one of the parties birthday and I had put that on the booking email... and they came out with a little birthday treat at the end of the night
Will definitely be going back
Food was below our expectations - too salty!
On approach the building is magnificent and tastefully refurbished. We had a lunch time reservation and we were greeted with a big smile and taken to our table. From beginning to end all the staff and the Manager were very attentive, friendly and knew the menu and the wine list extensively so were able to advise.
The food was so good not just to eat but to look at too, very pleasing to the eye as well as the tastebuds. The lunch time menu wasn’t as extensive as we had seen on line but there was enough to choose from so didn’t have an issue. To be honest we didn’t want the afternoon to end, we definitely could have stayed much longer. Next time we will definitely book an evening reservation so we can spend quality time perusing the menu and wine list. A must visit!
Try and sit upstairs and downstairs we felt was quite cold and poor atmosphere
Absolutely fantastic food, service, and atmosphere (and music! ) - a special place for a special occasion in a special city.
An incomparable experience, highly recommend the featherblade of beef it melts in the mouth. Simply fantastic bistro.
A really nice bistro in the centre of town. Good to watch the food being prepared; quietly efficient with speedy, friendly service. Love it!
The food was lovely and cannot complain about it.
The service wasn’t great. Me and my partner ordered our drinks and then our food. We’d eaten our starter before we had to call someone over to remind them about our drinks. We also had to wait for a few minutes to get someone’s attention to request salt. I wouldn’t normally leave a review but there was only a few other couples in the front room. 2 large tables left just after our arrival so it wasn’t busy at all.
I would recommend to friends for food, but won’t rave about the service.
Excellent food, great options for veggies. I'm not sure how they managed to get so much flavour into a swede. It's a great venue, in a good location.
I’d be much more likely to recommend one of its sister restaurants such as Burnt Truffle in Heswall. Food was excellent as ever but service was very slow. It took a long time for us to receive both starters and mains. The toilets weren’t in an acceptable state either. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable meal.
Wreckfish came on recommendation and on the whole we weren't disappointed.
The ambience , the lay out, the service was excellent.
we were well looked after by Sive ( I think that was her name.). she knew her stuff and was really engaging and put up with our humour!
I think we would say that the meat dishes were excellent and worth the price we paid. we needed extra toast for the pate but that was fine. the feathered steak and chips was lovely and filling.
the main issue was the vegetarian options.
on paper they looked great and we were pleased that there was adequate choice.
however, the dishes themselves were small and not very filling. they needed the side order of chips which brought the price up to that of the meat dishes. most definitely I would say the veg options were not good value for money which is a shame as it would probably mean we wouldn't return as one of our party is strictly vegetarian (and has a good appetite)
we did bring this up with staff and they received our concerns well. we were also given complimentary fudge which was gorgeous!
I rarely complain and don't want this to be a complaint but I think perhaps the veggie dishes needs some more thought and balance.
hopefully we will be back. tempted by the Sunday lunch menu!
Wonderful, attentive staff and faultless food. Would recommend to anyone.
Good value food
The service is excellent
Ambiance is a bit like the Alouette which sadly disappeared from Lark Lane
Amazing food as always, fantastic service in a very special place.
There were 5 of us altogether different age ranges .everyone got starter main and pudding could not fault one dish..was amazing definitely recommend
Combination of flavours, layers of flavours is what makes Wreckfish. Cauliflower risotto with puffed rice, spicy, clean, crunchy, punchy. Atmosphere relaxed, and happy to eat there on my own. Excellent again. Thank you.
So good. The food was excellent and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.
A lovely lunch. Food very well cooked and well presented. The Cauliflower risotto was excellent.
Service very friendly and efficient.
Been to Wreckfish several times always enjoyed menu very intresting and exciting, staff very welcoming in all a very good experience
Excellent food although my husband felt portions were slightly small. Excellent customer service. Drinks expensive.
The toilets are defined as male/female but with a shared washing area. People seemed confused the toilets and used the wrong ones! I think this area could be improved, along with the cleanliness of the toilets.
Nice place, excellent service and food was most enjoyable. A very good dining experience.
Quite simply one of the best meals I've ever had, not a single let down from start to finish.
We are regulars but our friends were new to this restaurant and they loved it
We always enjoy visiting Wreckfish. Quiet relaxed atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. We've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner and find it reliable.
Absolutely lovely restaurant and fabulous food. Just felt the drinks were a bit overpriced
A nice place, decor appealing, service good. I was a little non-plussed about the food. Not bad, but not exceptional either. All competently cooked but some of the flavours could have been better, and combinations were a little suspect.
Our greeting at this restaurant was poor. We were met by our waiter who gave the impression he did not want to be there. He was non committal when asked about various items on the menu. The wine was an extortionate price starting at £38 a bottle. The food was good and on the food alone I would recommend this restaurant. I would not return due to the negative aspects previously mentioned.
Excellent food and friendly attentive staff.
Great food and drinks
Best town bistro in Liverpool
Once again everything we ordered for our table of 7 was excellent The service was great ,the staff are really helpful x
All the food was very good and the staff helpful and patient. The only difficulty was that one of our party uses a wheelchair which fortunately he can transfer out of as there are steps into the restaurant and steps down to the dining room in the basement.
Absolutely great value. Vert nice food and service.
Always a delight to visit this restaurant. Food excellent and service very good for a Saturday night. Cater for GF too! Would highly recommend visiting this and the other Elite Bistro establishments - you will not be disappointed.
Fabulous food and the staff so attentive. It is a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion
Thought the food was beautiful, with a good selection for vegetarians, the staff were very knowledgeable and welcoming, and the decor was beautiful. We will definitely return and recommend to others.
