We came for a birthday. Stayed for more wine. It was fun.
Fabulous 5 course seafood dinner each with recommended wine, professional, friendly service & great location in & out.
Great meal as part of the London Seafood Festival only slightly let down by having no ginger ale at the bar. Service was excellent.
WE HAD THE PARING MENU AT THEIR SPECIAL FISH EVENING. REASONABLY PRICED. WINES SUPERB BUT NOT SYNCHRONISED WITH THE FOOD WHICH WAS ALSO SUPERB
HENCE WE HAD THE MEAL WITH NO WINE ON 3 out of 4 DISHES UNTIL REQUESTED. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WECOME DRINK ON ARRIVAL WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN BUILT INTO THE SET PRICE INSTEAD OF AN EXPLANATION THAT NO WINES WITH THE FIRST COURSE AND GIVEN THE WINE LIST. NOT WELCOMING.
This is a Sunday brunch favourite and their dishes are great for that. But we went for a special occasion and so wanted real food and this overwhelmed the kitchen. For the first course they got one dish wrong and the second courses took ages.
But recommended for small children who are well catered for and the usual brunch dishes were great. This applies to Sunday only.
I booked a table for a special occasion and was really excited to bring my parents along. We were running 10mins late and although the website said tables would be held for 15minutes I made a courtesy call to let them know I would be a little late. They said this was absolutely fine and not to worry, however when I turned up within the 15minute period they had given the table away with no apology and a VERY off hand response from front of house. I understand that tables need to be filled and if you are late that is your own fault but you should not be making false promises on your website or by phone. Service generally seemed offhand and put an edge on the experience at food was generally quite good.
Loved it, great food, great location, fabulous service. Will definitely be back.
Very good food and atmosphere. Nice outdoor area. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
I've been to this restaurant twice now and both times have been extremely happy with the food and service. The plateau de fruits de mer is outstanding! Good enough wine selection as well. The lemon possat dessert was divine! I'm already planning when I can go back again. Highly recommend.
This is the second time we went to Wright Brothers Battersea and as before, they didn't disappoint. We had the seafood platter to share. Unfortunately, wanting to keep the oysters for last, they were already swimming in the (melted) crushed ice used as a base and had therefore lost a bit of their taste. Otherwise - all perfect! The seafood is fresh and well presented. Service was impeccable and the wine list has a good selection.
The starters where delicious but for £12 a course, it’s a tiny portion. Either give double the potion or half the price! Service was good and enjoy our meal but not good value for money. Having recently enjoyed a couple of great meals at Rick Steins in Barnes, I feel that is better value and a nicer setting.
Shame it was pouring with rain, as the view over the river can be lovely! But the food was as good as ever - it was just very quiet on such a horrible day!
This is an excellent new restaurant within the new development over-looked by the power station. well worth seeking out, as you are unlikely to stumble across it by chance,
The staff, food, location are all top notch, thank you for a very nice evening.
P.S. alcohol free wines and drinks being grown up is a massive bonus and so rare in Britain, again well done
We sat at the kitchen bar - unfortunately the crew seems very unhappy, the place is not very tidy. We saw several breaches on food hygiene. Customers must not feel such tensions in the team. The guy preparing our oysters was superb and calm!
Lovely meal outside on a warm May evening. The staff did their best to work with us. Would go back when in Battersea again.
Always excellent service and food perfectly cooked
Excellent food and staff..our go to restaurant at the power station
It was the busy Bank holiday weekend, so not surprising that it was busier than normal. Perhaps as a result, the service was much slower than usual; it took nearly 30 mins for our starters to arrive. The staff apologised in advance, however as our party included a pregnant guest this was quite challenging! The food itself was ok, small portions - we enjoyed the main course the most. overall nice location, would return when less busy.
Nice atmosphere, nice location, lovely service and good food. We had fish for starters and main, excellent quality of fish, extremely fresh with good flavours. Very friendly manager who recommended us both our starters and main as well as a non alcoholic cocktail, which actually tasted pretty alcoholic lol.
Delicious food and excellent service. The oysters are not to be missed. We will revisit for sure.
Good-looking venue. Great views of the river. Cocktails looked fab. Service was very good. Food was just “meh”, and was expensive for what came to the table. We spent £125 on 6 oysters (shared between two - lovely); a rather small grilled sea bass with fries and moules frites. The mussels were fleshy rather than firm (which I think they were meant to be), which was not to my liking tbh. We also had a £31 bottle of wine. At £80 it would have felt like good value for money, but all in all, at £125, it wasn’t...
Nice outdoor area and lively indoor, with great food, drinks and cocktails
New to Battersea in the Power Station development. On the river with views. Concise menu lots of seafood options and a good lunch menu. Lunch menu is decent value.
Superb food and exceptional service the fish is ultra fresh and nicely cooked without any silly frills . The staff go the extra mile managers were superb .
Fantastic festival of crab. Cracked crab to share for a starter with some very tasty shell-on prawns and then a massive bowl of black pepper crab, helped down by a lovely rose champagne. We will return.
We had a great time and enjoyed our evening. Charming waitress and other staff, and the food was good if expensive. It's very noisy, but this adds to the ambience, and the location on the river in the new Battersea Power Station complex is fantastic - and will be better yet in the summer.
Lovely experience as always! The oysters are amazing and £1 each everyday from 3 til 6pm.
We enjoyed our evening. Nine year old said it was 'the best fish she'd ever had'.
First time at Wright Brothers, so after seeing some good reviews and as I love seafood restaurants, I was looking forward to a good seafood meal.
First impressions were good, I liked the interior of the restaurant.
Staff very friendly and we were seated quickly. After what was at least a 10 minute wait, we finally got a menu. We ordered the specials cocktail for a pre dinner drink while looking at the menu.
I was surprised by the menu being so small in choice, especially with the mains selections, only 3 fish mains available for a seafood restaurant?!
Again service seemed very slow, but maybe they were short staffed with waiting staff, but appeared that our side of room was just being ignored? We finally ordered a selection of 6 oysters, a starter each and a main each.
Our cocktails turned up and were very nice. Unfortunately while we were not even 2 sips into drinking them our oysters turned up,along with nothing our starters?! Giving us no time to enjoy our cocktails. Service should be staggered and the staff should have been much more attentive to their customers. To bring it all at once so quickly was wrong.
Oysters and both starters were lovely, making the service even more of shame.
Both our mains were also good although nothing I hadn’t had better before.
We then sat their with a table full of empty dishes for another 10-15 minutes before someone other than our overworked waiter, realised and came to clear the dishes.
Food is nice, just hope their service improves a lot, maybe was an off night? Not sure how quickly I would go back?
Absolutely, unbelievably, incredibly, mouth wateringly knockout.
If you like oysters, I'd highly recommend this place. Great selection. Menu is fairly small but still a decent selection of unique dishes. Services was excellent and the food was superb. Will definitely return!
Borough market WB is fantastic. Battersea was average, had to send a meal back, maybe an off day.
I booked Wright Brothers for mothers day, and had such a lovey time there. The food was amazing, great portion sizes and fantastic cocktails!!! Great customer service and child friendly.
We will definitely be returning, thanks for making my mothers, mothers day a special one!
The food was outstanding, particularly the black pepper crab, and the service charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return
Great vibe. Amazing food. Very attentive staff. All in a great night.
Having scouted out a number of places for our anniversary, I decided on Wright Brothers Battersea for location, ambience and, of course, great food. The first part of the evening was fab - the cocktails were fantastic and the bar is a great place for entertainment (shout out to the great barman - thank you for our amazing drinks!)
Very sadly the rest of the evening went downhill from there. We were sat at what should have been a prime position (by the window, overlooking the patio and river), but on a cold winter's night it was freezing; there was a draft blowing through the window and it was going to be miserable. Having asked to move, we were then seated in the main area and although the ambience wasn't great (think bright lights and servers running past every few seconds), it was good enough.
Our waiter was prompt to arrive and although he showed we weren't his top priority in spending or size (there was a big party right next to us, however that should not take away from the experience of other diners), it went smoothly.
However, we were forgotten for the rest of the evening; we waited a long time for our courses, had to put the water glasses on the side of the table until someone noticed they were empty (it was impossible to get anyone's attention), and wait even longer for the bill.
We enjoyed our meal, but the food is only one part of a dining experience. It was a very special occasion for us and one that I was willing to invest in, but the whole evening was incredibly disappointing. It seemed either we had to sit in the cold and get what I paid for, or stay warm and fight for attention. The final straw was when the commis waiter reminded me on payment that there only the service charge is included and no tip.
Unfortunately I would not recommend the restaurant to anyone and it ruined what was meant to be a celebratory dinner. We went to the great pizza place round the corner to rescue the evening and wondered why we didn't go there in the first place.
It is a very nice place with a spectacular view. It was freezing when we were there but I really want to come in a nice sunny whether and enjoy the view.
Wonderful service wonderful food
Really lovely treat and a great surrounding. I recommend to everyone!
The only reason I marked ambience down was that the place was almost empty at lunchtime. It won't stop me going back. We were very well looked after and had a delicious meal. Friendly staff. I see they do happy hour for oysters (eaters' happiness, not the oysters'!).
