Wright Brothers Battersea Ratings and Reviews
The recently opened Wright Brothers restaurant at Battersea Power Station didn't disappoint! The evening was fantastic! I had the scallops with truffled artichoke for starter which were creamy and delicious and the Dover sole for main and sides which was wonderful. My husband had the Charcoal grilled wild red Argentinian prawns for starter and Sea Bass for his main and we shared 1/2 doz oysters and I can honestly say, the food was fabulous! The service was impeccable and the ambience of the restaurant was perfect! Very cosy with lovely views of the Thames make it an ideal restaurant for a date night or a quiet intimate evening with good friends and a great bar to hang out afterwards! Overall, a great restaurant and I look forward to going back again.
We all felt we had found the right ingredients for a lovely evening out. The food was amazing and the position, layout and lighting of this 5th Wright outlet was ideal - especially with their namesake Wright brothers aviation history which happened practically next door. We shall return.
Really impressive food.... oysters were delicious, everything josperised was amazing - the octopus was incredible. I had the Dover sole off the specials and it was so yummy. Chocolate fondant for desert a classic but nice. Would recommend and look forward to coming back soon.
Fantastic food in a brand new Riverside location. The staff were both friendly and helpful throughout the evening and overall this new restaurant lived up to expectations and is as good as any of the other Wright Bros restaurants that I have visited. I'll definitely be back again soon!
Amazing new arrival to the neighbourhood. World beating quality seafood, complemented by best of owner/manager expertise through Robin and co, and warm, professional, well trained service that are extremely wiling and able. A must go place for a terrific experience. Can’t wait to return.
Exciting addition to the Battersea Power Station development. Really high quality, innovative seafood served in a casual yet luxurious environment (dare I say ‘hip’). The husband was very impressed and he’s a connoisseur of good restaurants, being in the industry. Great service and a super cool & charming barman. I’m sure we will become regulars. Highly recommend the dressed crab, red prawns & the utterly delicious salmon. Outstanding chips too, for a healthier side dish which also is totally delicious do try the sprouts. This kitchen is right on top of its game.
We've been to both the Borough and South Kensington restaurants and the meal at Battersea was at the same high standard that we have come to expect from Wright Brothers. Our friendly waiter recommended favourite dishes and we heartily took him up on them. The standouts for us were the Galacian octopus and two of the specials - Langoustine croquettes and Brixham dover sole. We shared a lovely fresh Viognier and had our water glasses regularly topped up with cold tap water. Not to overindulge, as it was a Wednesday, we shared a divine chocolate pud with honeycomb ice cream.
We were lucky enough to have 50% taken off the food bill as we dined when it was part of the soft launch but we would have been delighted to pay the full price for our experience.
We thought it was a good restaurant, the staff and management have been well trained and we will return with friends. Two points, the specials were top end price wise and might need to re think the cost a little, the other did not like sitting on the table for two when one of you faces into the empty private room rather than turning the tables and at least you could both have a side ways view of the river.
Food took forever , waiter did not explain menu so we ordered too little
Service was horrible
There was a massive gap between each course very unprofessionally served
We were so hungry by the time the food came it wasn’t enough
We left lunch not at all satisfied
Sadly we were made to wait on arrival.
The staff were very nice and friendly but too few and the drinks took a while to arrive.
The house platter was ridiculous , only 3 oysters a hand full of prawns and the rest cheap whelks mussels and brown shrimps for £30.
I am local and eat out a lot with friends and was extremely excited to have this in my doorstep.
The wine we chose was fantastic and the oysters were excellent but apart from that, the special we wanted was no longer available. The fish soup was thick and tasteless and the mussels were extremely overdone and served mulch and mushy, pretty disgusting.
I hope it’s teething problems but even with 50 percent discount this was extremely bad value for money.
