Borough Market is the original Wright Brothers restaurant. It’s intimate, informal and never, ever dull. Their speciality is great ingredients cooked simply and includes classics such as oysters, fruits de mer, moules marinière, as well as a daily-changing specials board featuring the best seafood and seasonal produce. It doesn't get fresher than this.

I used to come here several time a year, but recently returned after an absence of a couple of years. I'm pleased to report that it's as good as ever. They've been really creative in anti-covid measures to fit in nearly as many people, screen them from each other, but not making it feel like you're screened.

We have eaten at this restaurant about 3 times before. It’s small and chaotic but the service and food is fabulous. The friendly staff always make us welcome and we love the compact nature of it. It’s our London ‘fishy’ go-to. We just love it!

I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened and would always give it 5 stars for food. I am afraid we found our meal disappointing. The oysters were good as always, one dish of clams was tasty but the rest was unimaginative and a dish of seabream pretty tasteless. It is as though the chef has changed. Maybe we just chose the wrong things, but, as I say, I've never been disappointed before. On the positive side the service was friendly and very efficient and the changes made to the structure post COVID have not detracted from the atmosphere.

I never thought I would write such a review. Wright Brothers (both this and Spitafields) have always been our favourite restaurants and we go there to celebrate our birthdays as well as other occasions, we literally don't go anywhere else. We went there to celebrate a belated 50th as everything was shut a few months ago. Firstly, we were sat down and then it took about 20 minutes for someone to come and take or order, we had to call the server and remind her we needed a drink. We ordered the seafood platter 9now one size only available). A guy came and dropped the platter and said "here's your starter" and left. We had no cutlery, no sauce, no explanation of what was what on the plate so we called another server over and she finally gave us what we needed and seemed annoyed at the fact that the other person hadn't done it. The platter itself, which is usually our favourite part of the meal, was very bland. The oysters were paper thin and hardly came off the shell. the brown shrimps not very nice and everything else had no flavour. Whelks were massive and flavourless. I ordered octopus with borlotti beans and mackerel on toast. . The octopus was very small and the beans were not cooked so I gave the dish back. The octopus was OK but tasted very vinagrey and more like anchovies in vinegar so didn't really eat all of it. My partner had mussels in wine sauce and half of them were not open and the "sauce" was just dirty water with very little taste. We never did get the water we asked until the end of the meal when we had to get someone's attention and reminded them, no apology was offered for the delay. This isn't a cheap restaurant and the whole meal was quite frankly not up to standard and we left hungry, afetr paying £120. The octopus was taken off the bill but it still didn't make up for the experience and I am extremely disappointed.

A truly great restaurant. As always the food was excellent and the wine well chosen. We managed to secure our favourite table and when it was time to leave we took the initiative to ask if we could stay another 15/20 and the response was a warm yes.
Love this place. Food, staff, environment...faultless.
I was really looking forward to enjoying a meal at The Wright Brothers as I had previously enjoyed a drink there.
I was very disappointed that none of the main courses advertised on the internet were available. There wasn't even any stout left , which for a pub well known for its stout was very poor.
I ordered halibut with crab salad , which at £32 I expected live up to its price.
It was a very small piece of fish with a small quantity of crab meat placed on top. There were no vegetables, salad or any accompaniment with it.
Some of the serving staff also contributed to a negative experience by being quite sour faced .
When I asked for the bill a £7 service charge had been added , which was the final straw !
I shall never eat there again and wouldn't recommend it unless you enjoy being ripped off !

Good value for money for Seafood in London. Kitchen is in the dining area and you can see the chefs cook which is cool too!
Absolutely delicious meal- the clams and sardines were particularly tasty- would highly recommend
Wright Bros is always excellent! The food is top quality and the ambience is relaxed but classy at the same time. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for! Keep up the good work guys - can’t wait till you get your Oyster Masterclass back up and running, been booked for ages now!
As usual Wright Brother's delivers outstanding seafood and drinks and in these times the experience was not hampered by too many restrictions
I'm glad Wright Brothers is still open and serving great food. The menu is significantly reduced though so don't expect as much choice as usual

It was very noisy and tables quite close. Not particularly happy in terms of Covid compliance.
Wonderful oysters and company. Excellent wine selection and food was fabulous as always. The staff are charming and helpful.

The service was horrible! I have never experienced such bad customer service. We booked a table via Opentable, arrived a few minutes late (called them to say we were running 5-10 min late), and they gave away our table after telling us no problem to being late. So they proceeded to kick out the people they “thought” were us and we let them know we would just take a high top table and one of us would stand so the people sitting already didn’t have to ruin their dinner. We basically had no one come to take our order, no one told us about the specials, or even make any eye contact with us for about 15-20 min. When we attempted to get someone they were irritated that we would interrupt them, they responded with “we are very busy”. Needless to say I would never pay that kind of money to eat an oyster and drink champagne at this restaurant ever again. The food was ok, nothing good enough to endure such bad service. Will never return and will definitely not be recommending to friends and colleagues.

I've always enjoyed Wright Brothers and appreciate they've done much to make it COVID compliant but very limited menu and increased prices across the board made it a disappointing evening. #shame

Funny how things work out travelled 150 miles to sample the steak pie with oyster and the fish pie, NOT on the menu !! But what an experience the atmosphere the staff the food the location whether your a foodie or you like your history, or you need somewhere to celebrate a special event you would do well to book a table.
We had the share shell fish platter with belly pork and scallop starter. Bottle of wine oh and the surrounding was shining.
My wife and I are regulars to this restaurant and we particularly enjoy taking friends
There who appreciate the friendly atmosphere this last time our friends and us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch .The only criticism was no whitebait for starters
