Fish to die for. Went on a Sun evening wonderful warm welcome . Seated watching the chefs at work .service quick and responsive . Had New Orleans oysters 😀Tasty followed by Scallops that were plump and juicy. Its expensive but you get what
you pay for . A very unique experience worth every penny
The oyster were some of the best I've ever eaten and the service was outstanding.
Lovely atmosphere, fresh seafood, and friendly staff. There’s nothing more to ask for!
Great sea food with friendly helpful staff. A short walk from London Bridge station
Fabulous! Really lovely good and a great evening
We had limited time before a theatre commitment and the staff took this on board. The food was excellent and good value and the accompanying glass of rose for me and a specialist beer for my husband was just right. A very enjoyable meal
We visited for my birthday. We sat up st the bar and had very prompt service. The food was so fresh and delicious. I will visit again for sure
Habit catch up with a friend - the japanese oysters are to die for!
Great service, wide range of specials and excellent quality ingredients. Friendly atmosphere and no rush to eat and leave.
Wright Brothers prides itself for the quality of its seafood which on previous visits has lived up to expectation, and it did so again with both of our main courses being very good. However we both found the oyster starters to be a bit lacklustre, they tasted okay but all the oysters we were served this particular evening were all disappointingly small.
Brilliant as always, this is one of our favourite city restaurants. Buzzy and vibrant, couples generally get sat at the bar which is great as you can watch the chefs at work. Never had a bad meal, menu doesn't very often change but the specials are always just that, special.
Great food. Great service.
Love the ambience at this place. Tried Spitalfields but just doesn’t have the same vibe!
Nice food, nice ambience, nice cocktails. We definitely recommend!
Beautiful food, getting fish right isn't always easy but this was close to perfection. Enthusiastic staff, we were in a hurry and they helped us my expediting ourvorder fast. The decor has a real authemtic feel amd we loved the seating.
Superb atmosphere, food and service.
Excellent service, our server was friendly, helpful and kind, but food rather average and expensive. A very small fish pie with nothing but salmon was £19.00. Smoked salmon starter was £8.00 for 3 very thin small slices. Would assume it's the shellfish that people go for and what we'd have if we went again.
Great food and great service. Our server Bala'es was very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunate that some of the starters were already finished as were some of the oysters (only 7pm!) but everything we had was wonderful
We had a wonderful evening, the staff went out of there way to make my girlfriends birthday extra special. The food was amazing particularly the oysters. Will definitely be going again next time we are in London.
Great location and wonderful ambience. Staff where friendly and happy to recommend suitable fare. Very good selection at the bar.
Fabulous fresh seafood and great atmosphere. Highly recommended
Second time I've eaten here and on both occasions the food has been very good, but a bit on the expensive side. Very good selection of shell fish and all well presented.
I'd booked for two not realising we would be seated at the bar on high chairs. We both found this cramped and a bit uncomfortable. When we asked for table we were told we could only have it for an hour or rather glibly told to 'Just enjoy a new dining experience'. In short, tables appear to only be available for more than two people.
On principle I object to 12.5% for service being added to the bill. I'm not sure where the gratuity goes, so it just feels like a way of upping the price if you don't feel like asking for it to be taken off.
Definitely worth a visit if you like fish and a vibrant atmosphere.
The food was as ever excellent.if you like fish and shellfish of course. If you dont its not the place for you.
The place is cramped, crowded but definately buzzing. In other words great food great atmosphere. One of my favourite restaurants
Great seafood restaurant and oyster bar, with good options for those who aren't so keen on fish and shellfish.
Great relaxed service and ambience with knowledgeable and interesting staff.
Great buzz and a really enjoyable experience.
We had bar stools right next to the chef cooking. Its a cosy tiny bistro pub specialising in shellfish. Wright Brothers offers an intimate (small) but great vibrant atmosphere and fun. It was our first time for eating oysters ....if you love them then look no further....this is your place.
Great service and great food, vibrant atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyable.
Mussels and whitebait to start, both excellent; served properly hot and not overcooked.
Sole and trout to follow; you know when sole is cooked right as the bones do not come away with the fish, which they did not; trout was delicately seasoned so as not to overpower the natural flavour. It's not cheap but it is good value for proper cooking in a relaxed atmosphere. Service is well organised.
Great seafood. Bit cramped into the corner
There is a very special atmosphere at Wright Brothers - interesting seafood menu, brilliantly executed delivered through friendly efficient service in a quirky, intimate environment. I love it.
We were seated at the table I asked for and the evening was very pleasant as a result.
Access to the disabled toilet was less than wonderful
I have dined here many times and love the informal ambience. We were seated at the bar as requested. Staff very helpful and attentive. Oysters were great, main of plaice not the best on this occasion.
great meal as usual at Wright Brothers. love sitting at the counter watching the cooking. Even on a monday the choice is good. Amazing oysters and chorizo, fish soup the best ive had in ages - seemed to be properly made rather than out of a jar. Plaice and dressed crab excellent - keep it up please
Beautiful fresh fish. Very generous portion. We sat at the kitchen bar and watched the chefs. The staff were friendly and gave knowledgeable advice on the menu. Lovely atmosphere in small, funky restaurant. Busy with other dinners on the Sunday evening we went, which is often the case apparently, so glad we booked a table.
Had a terrific meal, the wait staff were helpful about the menu, and patient as we had a reservation but one of our members ran thirty minutes late.
Date night but due it's small size of dining it was a bit cramped
We were advised to get the seafood platter which was the dullest most tasteless thing you’ve ever tried. I’m an adventurous eater, but the only ‘normal’ things on there were oysters, prawns and mussels - the rest were various arrays of snails and whole mini prawns with their whiskers still on them. I would have expected at least a little bit of flavour, not comepletely I seasoned seafood, for that price. The other food that was coming out looked good, but unfortunately due to this terrible recommendation we didn’t try it.
Apart from that, good ambience and apart from the guy who recommended the terrible platter, service decent
Excellent food. Best fish pie and seafood platter I have ever had. Crowded, reservation highly recommended
Amazing food, great service, and really good value for money.
Small restaurant towards edge of bustling Borough Market. Been there several times. Got there too early this time for our booking, so had first to wander round the stalls. Had two stools by the counter so could watch the cook prepare the fish dishes. I had the dressed crab dish as my main course, which I found easier to deal with than the whole crab which my friend ordered. Wine on the pricey side. Good service from our Polish waitress. Loos downstairs.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time
