Wright Brothers Borough Market
Head chef Rob Malyon’s speciality is great ingredients cooked simply and includes classics such as oysters, fruits de mer, moules marinière, as well as a daily-changing specials board featuring the best seafood and seasonal produce. It doesn't get fresher than this.
If you are unable to make an online reservation – please call the restaurant directly.
A beautiful vibe and beautiful food. The only let down for me was the portion size for the value you paid but the quality of the food was excellent. I just came home a little hungrier than I thought I'd be!
A little overpriced but great food. Loved the atmosphere - quite casual but still feels special.
Fantastic restaurant great service Amazing food.
Only let down was someone came in and was trying to pick pocket 😡
Excellent as always
I found the staff to be very accommodating. We had a reservation for 12:30, but needed to push it up to Noon. The made room for us right away. After we told the Host we were in a rush, he recommended several dishes that could be brought out quickly, so we went with those. Even in a hurry, these dishes were expertly prepared, looked lovely and were delicious. The location is a ton of fun too...being right outside the market. Definitely recommended to those who love seafood.
The food is always very fresh and the atmosphere is always relaxed and welcoming
Excellent service and fabulous food made for a very memorable meal.
Absolutely love this place the sea food is amazing and the staff are awesome.
Clean table with good service, fresh tasting produce.
The worst experience in UK. I lived in London for few years already. Here is definitely the worst restaurant in London. The customer service is horrible. The waitress kept on asking us to order some drinks which we rejected many times on our whole meals. She showed us her long face and ran to her colleagues to laugh at us which is really rude. Secondly, the foods are really low quality. We ordered a fish soup, a crab meat dish plus a beef and oyster pie. The fish soup is stinky which the chef provided some cheeses to us in order to cover the bad smell. The beef and oyster pie is really really bad. The beef is hard to chew it which is really over cooked. Basically they don’t really know how to cook the beef. You can eat any beefs better than this restaurant. And the oysters quality is below average as well. Moreover, we requested to split the bill when we finished our foods. And the same waitress showed us her long and unrespectful face again. It never happened in my past few year uk life! Pls don’t go to this restaurant if you don’t want to be angry and upset.
Always a pleasure -- food delicious as usual and service friendly
Apart from the waitress (who was rude and abrupt), everything else was great! The food was delicious, so was the wine - the atmosphere was lovely too.
Fabulous place. Staff and ambience are great and make for a great evening.
They may have the freshest seafood, but I’m sad to say that the cooking really didn’t live up to expectation. The menu looked very appetizing with great fish and shellfish options, but the taste just wasn’t good. Ordered a baked crab with sour dough toast, almost no crab meat, but basically very greasy, creamy and salty mixture. My friend’s fish soup was over salted as well. However, the fish main dishes, especially my Dover Sole, which costed£30, was quiet lacking in flavor and it was probably the worst Dover sole dish I’ve had considering the fish itself should be tasty enough already. Service was a bit weird and uncoordinated. Really wanted to love this place, but definitely won’t be going back.
If you like fish this is one of the best fish restaurants in town amidst the ambiance of Borough Market. And certainly my favourite.
This restaurant is a Borough jewel. Delicious seafood served by attentive and friendly staff in a wonderfully casual environment. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, great service and atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone.
A truly wonderful fish restaurant, so in touch with letting the fish give of its best. I sometimes dream of the ray wings in beure noir and the potted shrimp and the crab on toast and so much more. Heaven.
Had a lovely meal, we went a Friday evening and it was quite busy! But the food was fast and the servers were very good too! Lots of different seafood to choose from and a big wine list.
Would definitely go back.
Always good, never a disappointment but Seating is a little cramped
Great atmosphere, good company, great location, good wine selection for seafood and I have been going there on and off for the last 10 years
Lovely date dinner. Food very nice and service attentive without being overbearing
It was a nice visit, but I prefer the one in Spitalfields as that is a little more cosy and quiet. Food was great (except the mussels that should have been cooked a little less). Service was really nice and attentive. Would definitely go again.
Welcomed by friendly staff. Good service throughout. The food was outstanding. Only negative is that it’s a noisy atmosphere difficult to have a conversation
We went on a Saturday night it was busy but noise level was moderate. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was good but not inexpensive. The wine was good but dear. The eating area was cramped and the stool did encourage a quick turnover. As it was an evening out with my partner it was not ideal however I have been for lunch with a friend and was impressed so I would recommend the restaurant for day time as opposed to evening dining.
Always have a great meal here. Oysters are so fresh. Champagne could be served colder though, had to wait to cool it down
Always great food - oysters are amazing. Not cheap but you get what you pay for
I’d been planning to visit for a while. I was not disappointed. Busy? Yes! Noisy? Yes! Delicious? Double yes! Great seafood, fresh as it comes and great wine. Perfect, perfect evening. Thank you
I've visited twice. Good food, good wine, good service. I loved the monkfish.
I was recommended Wright Brothers as a characterful fish restaurant and it lived up to the recommendation. It is a relatively small restaurant in crowded old-fashioned premises with a good menu of fish and seafood. Seating both at tables and at the bar. I had lemon sole, which was well-prepared if a little on the "soft" side. It was fun and I would certainly go back.
Very good food, nice atmosphere, a bit busy but it was Friday night so was expected.
This is the 242nd time I have eaten here; still pretty good ....
Very nice and cheerful in a casual and cramped atmosphere which is fine and cosy, but the menu prices do not reflect the above, far too expensive for such a place, menu good as being short but a bit too short and daily specials way over pricey.
Wright Brothers Borough was outstanding as always!
We have been to this restaurant many times over many years and we always enjoy it. Everything about it is good. No negatives
My son got engaged!!!!
Enjoyed the baked Devon crab (delicious) and the whitebait. All the food looked scrumptious.
Great atmosphere - good quality food - very good staff
Service was slow but friendly. Some of our shell fish was still frozen when served and took 30 minutes for a seafood platter of shellfish to arrive when restaurant was half empty. Atmosphere was cosy and informal and setting nice. I would try again.
Love coming here . Food always great - this time baked oysters and dover sole ! Service excellent as usual
