Wright Brothers Borough Market
Head chef Rob Malyon’s speciality is great ingredients cooked simply and includes classics such as oysters, fruits de mer, moules marinière, as well as a daily-changing specials board featuring the best seafood and seasonal produce. It doesn't get fresher than this.

The place is very nice and well set, maybe the high chairs that do not have backup are uncomfortable, the food is of great quality, the presentation impeccable and the service very good. I will repeat for sure.
Excellent seafood, good wine selection and excellent service highly recommend
Outstanding as always, great food prepared by a great team who are a pleasure to watch in action.
Fresh well-cooked fish and seafood, fairly priced. Efficient service. We sat at the bar which inevitably is a bit tight for space but comfortable enough. We were told that tables are kept for groups but a couple were sat at a table 10 minutes after we were seated - a bit disappointing. Lots of good wine by the glass, slightly pricey.
A must for seafood lovers in a buzzing ambience. Full of life and entertainment watching the chefs prepare your order. Mackerel superb and fish pie the best ever.
Food was as good as always and no complaints on this front. The service, however, was not would I would expect from Wright Brothers. The server was clearly new. He had little knowledge of the wine list, seemed rushed and unsure of himself, and not remotely interested in our experience there. If someone orders bubbles, it's usually a safe indicator that they're celebrating and I also had noted it on our reservation that it was our wedding anniversary. The server didn't once ask us how we were enjoying our meal, if we needed anything, etc. Ordering dessert, we weren't asked about coffee, or tea or wines and when we did order them, he wasn't familiar with them at all. I'm not expecting a server to become my new best friend, but if I'm shelling out £180, I do expect a bit of personality and friendliness. This didn't cut it.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. Super friendly staff and amazing food!
Nice seafood, quick service, very crowded. One of our favourites,we will be back soon.
It's all about the oysters! Delicious food and vibrant atmosphere.
As you might expect, the fish is outstanding. Always go for the specials
Great food, a bit rushed and cramped but that happens when it's a popular place!
The house platters are excellent. We even were allowed to sub out one type of food for more of the others, which was awesome. Cocktails tasty, fish fresh and beautifully presented, and the serving staff very friendly and pleasant. We'll be coming back.
Yet again, a memorable lunch with great sea food, excellent service and a warm welcome. We'll be back!
Had a fantastic meal at Wright Brothers. We love oysters and we weren’t disappointed with a good selection.
Service really good; efficient and friendly and we loved watching how excited people got over the deluxe platters!!
Great place for a fun date, a bite with friends or family. Thoroughly recommend this- particularly if you like oysters.
Delicious oysters, lovely fresh seafood and fish, and great ambience.
As always a consistent delviery of a dominantly seafood eaterie. Simple and delivered rapidly. Noce wine list. A tad expensive so be prepared. Popular with visitors so booking recommended.
Lively, popular restaurant, great staff and good menu. Oh, and a well considered wine list. What's not to like about Wright Brothers in Borough Market. Highly recommendable
Have been going to Wright’s Oyster Bar for years and never disappointed. Well I could qualify that by saying that it’s always an ah well moment when I see that yet again there is no squid on the menu.
Couples or pairs sit up at the bar and it’s big tables for everybody else. It’s always crowded and it’s not a place for whispering endearments into the shell-like of your companion.
Still I cheered myself up by having four starters a la tapas. They were anchovies, deep fried Whitebait, half a pint of prawns with mayo and grilled sardines on toast all washed down with a bottle of Muscadet.
Lovely food, great staff, great atmosphere. Don't get up to London that often but this is probably our favourite watering hole.
We had an excellent lunch on Saturday, staff were really friendly, food was Fab, ambience was great.
Little bit of heaven tucked into borough! Amazing service
Very expensive for what you get. A plate of a few boquerones, that were so garlicky and oily, for £5 was not worth the money.
The oysters were a joke, £10 for 3, and they were so small and tasteless. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, as it's so expensive and just not worth it at all.
I have been to the Wrights Brothers in Borough Market many times. This is the first time ever we were asked to leave the bar area within the 2 hour slot. My guest arrived late around 6.45, the reservation was booked for 6.30. It was very crowded/cramped & as noisy as usual. The staff were great & the food was brilliant also as usual. At 8.25 we were told in passing the bar area we were sat at was re booked at 8.30. They returned immediately with the bill & asked us to finish our drinks at the other end of the bar to the front of the restaurant. A bit short & sharp but hey that's policy. I will go there again, earlier in the week (as it was a Thursday). Sat in a line elbow to elbow at the bar to eat & being knocked by everyone passing was a bit annoying but that's how it is.
Great fish and oysters simples
An excellent restaurant where delicious fresh seafood is served and paired with great wine. Staff are genuine and offer a great quality service - impeccable indeed.
When travelling from Australia frequently to London I always drop in here. The food & service are first class, and the oysters never disappoint..
Absolutely delicious- buzzy and vibrant atmosphere, nice service and great selection of fine foods and wine. Excellent!
Very good food and atmophere, I was looking for a proper table, fish explanation was essential.
Great supper . Sat in front of the kitchen and the chefs were really friendly . Will be back !
My wife and I took my mum and dad out for a birthday meal and had a lovely time. The food was amazing, the service was very friendly, welcoming and informative, giving us recommendations on wine and food. You must be prepared for the atmosphere, which was loud due to the layout and size of the venue. Tables and seats are quite close together, but for me this all added to the experience.
All the food we had really was amazing.....and we tried quite a few different dishes! I'd definitely recommend this place, and can't wait to go back.
Loved this place vibrant location really relaxed interesting interior to restaurant. Food was very good. Oysters were delicious.
Can't wait to go again.
One of the best fish/seafood places in London. Good quality and good prices. Backed up by efficient, friendly service and it ticks the boxes.
I had the plaice while my two friends had the cod. All were cooked beautifully and very tasty - my plaice was on the bone and accompanied with a few boiled potatoes & a clam and chilli sauce. My friends were over from America and thoroughly enjoyed not only the food but the restaurant furnishing, layout and location. I am lucky enough to have been a number of times and will certainly be returning. The only minor downside was that, on a hot day, the corner we were in was a little warm from both the heat of the day and the open kitchen (though it's great watching the chefs at work!).
Food was excellent. Had pint jug of prawns and 2 x 1/2 grilled lobsters and 2 x beers. Bill came to £85 but £9+ was service charge. You want see me there again thank you. Service charge rip off.
Very good as always. Buzzing as usual, food excellent and loved the oysters
Amazing food and service!!
Great Gem. Delicious food and atmosphere!
Fresh fish and wine.
I just love this place. The atmosphere is always vibrant and the seafood excellent! The perfect place for lunch when visiting Borough Market.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm well nice :-p Everything was spot on . Amazing seafood, will come back again.
