Great atmosphere, good fresh fish , efficient service. Would come again.
Fantastic food and service. Great value for money and that crab was fantastic.
Each to his own. If you like cramped noisy dining perched on a bar stool then this is for you. The food was good. The wine by the glass was a little overpriced for the quality and the whole bill included 12.5% service which certainly suggests that they think that they are better than they are. Would I go again? maybe but there are many other lunch stops in the area that I would try first before coming back.
Lovely food and good service!
Great place for a pre+-theatre meal if you are going to Bridge theatre. Lovely oysters and great fish. Also the fish pie is perfect comfort food in a cold weather.
Delicious food, great service. Second time I have been. Will come back.
Super friendly team and super fresh fish. Oysters and smoked salmon were fantastic.
Délicieux simple et beau
Good sea food, good wine, great atmosphere. Would go again and again.
Food is always good here but frustrated that we were pushed to leave as there was another booking - though we had spent over £150. There were enough tables to place the 9.15pm booking somewhere else. Grrrr
Great evening. unexpectedly has to take our 6 month old.. not ideal for babies but the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. Great grub...if you like seafood and good wine selection. Fantastic atmosphere
Excellent carlingford oysters . Companion raved about her megrin sole . My mussels were better than OK and the Albarino was as reliable as ever . Greatly enjoyed .
Not a big fish lover but took the girlfriend for her birthday. Tremendous all round. Shared 4 dishes and had a small bottle of wine for £74. Have recommended to friends already. Great for dates, classy, unique, great ambiance
As usual a fantastic meal - everything of highest quality: Oysters, Scallops, Cod, Wine - fabulous and great staff ...
Great buzzing restaurant. Bar seating is the best to take in the atmosphere and watch the chefs cook. Staff are always friendly and the food choices are brilliant. Super fresh, healthy, delicious. It’s not a cheap restaurant is a tad on the expensive side for dishes however the food is incredible. Have been a few times.
Great service and menu.
A great place for wonderful seafood and fish. The oysters are delicious and the daily specials are always superb.
Good ambient, very good oysters with good vine. i‘d like it!!!!
Great place, especially good service and excellent food
Good, as ever. Cosy corner of borough market. A tight squeeze due to the nature of the restaurant, but it never feels that way and a great place for a catch up over lunch.
Great selection of seafood and shellfish. Quite a small restaurant that has shared tables as well as bar dining and it gets very busy, but the food is worth it. Not the cheapest, but very good food.
A lovely spot to enjoy a delicious sea food dinner in fine company.
Delicious food and great ambience as always. The Borough Market branch is easily a favourite.
Booked a table for my partners 50th birthday on a visit to London. We had been to the shard so I found Wright brothers on a search of restaurants close to the building. We arrived on time and were instantly shown to our table, nice greeting by a really lovely waitress. We ordered 12 oysters, my partners favourites, I tried 2 of them, I had the fish soup. I ordered the wild brill for the main, which was really well cooked and tasty. My partner ordered Cornish dressed crab, which was nice, but as a main meal all that was presented on the plate was obviously dressed crab which wasn't that big, plus a little bit of side salad. My partner was a little disappointed as if there had been some brown bread to help bulk up the dish it would have helped, at £18.50 for just crab, it was expensive, and bread is pretty cheap !. Although we had a great evening, lovely atmosphere we did look for a chip shop on the way back to our hotel. Nice experience but rather expensive for the amount of food on offer.
Unfortunately, not one of my best visits to Wright Bros. We are normally happy with a two hour slot for a table but expect to be served in a way which meets that timeline. 45 minutes for pint of prawns to turn up is not acceptable. No apology and a request to leave 10 minutes before 2 hour window was over. Not good enough for an establishment I have enjoyed many times.
The seating and atmosphere will not be for everybody. If you are a 2 you will sit on barstools at times uncomfortably close to your neighbours. The food is excellent and the service is good. Seating by the hot cooker can be too warm but you get a good visual display of the chef! Specials change frequently and both fish and seafood are recommended. It is not cheap and you will be disappointed in you are not happy in a rather confined, overcrowded space. We love it!
I've always wanted to try Wright Bros in Borough and was not disappointed. Went on Valentines evening, and although there was a Valentines platter, it was one of the few restaurants that didn't charge ridiculous prices because if it. Excellent seafood, lovely little place, cosy and fun. Looking forward to going back.
excellent seafood restaurant, very fresh and cooked perfectly.
As always fantastic food great staff brilliant The staff make you welcome they remember you from last time and even in the same table. The fish varieties are interesting and wholesome and tasty .Next time we will try the platters
Very nice place, food and drinks. Ask for bar seating. Competent and very kind staff.
delicious as always! The service was excellent as was the good
Nice restaurant tasty food
Very friendly staff !!!
My wife and I make a point of getting to Wright Brothers every time we're in London. Last time we went to the Soho venue and didn't find it as inviting or enjoyable. Was glad to be back at the bar, watching the chefs do their work and enjoying the superb atmosphere that only Borough Market has to offer. We will be back, again, next time.
Excellent food if you like fish but quite expensive. Reservations need to be made well in advance and they restrict your time. Service very good and would recommend for fish lovers
A really good location with great table layout which creates a busy and fun vibe. Lots of choice from the menu and specials board to suit all budgets and tastes. Great beer, cocktail, coffee and wine choices. Inconsistent customer service ranging from the welcoming and friendly to rude and careless - sort this out guys! A really enjoyable experience overall.
Really enjoyed the ambience. The arrangement of the seating encouraged conversation, if you wanted, with fellow diners on the same table.
Nice mix of raw and cooked oysters to try and quite a good size menu.
The whole crab was lovely but you have to be prepared to get stuck in. The fish pie, although very tasty wasn't really big enough for a hungry man though!!
Thoroughly enjoyed out time there and will definitely return to try the seafood platter.
Lovely Friday lunch with my Mum and sister. Great seafood, enormous whelks, and delicious crab! I like that they do decent wine by the carafe also
We had a lovely night with amazing food - very creative recipes. The staff was very helpful, when I left my glasses they followed is down the road to return them - exceptional!
Wright Brothers at Borough hews to its usual high standards. It's where we go after the Tate Modern. The oysters take you on a vicarious tour of Britain and Ireland. The Cornish sardines stood out. So did my fish pie and the mussels my wife enjoyed. Extremely satisfying.
