The BEST experience in London ever!!!!! Thanks to Vasselina!!!!
Nice evening, food and service both excellent. Would recommend.
Good quality and value for money in a prime location.
Oysters were a bit on the skinny side presumably due to seasonality.
Overall recommended for a relaxing Sunday brunch
Out experience at the restaurant was brilliant. It was our anniversary and the staff were amazing. I can’t remember his name but he was very tall....he greeted us with “happy anniversary” and had reserved us the best table in the house. Service was great and overall had an amazing evening. Will be coming again soon
Cooked food ok but fruit de mere platter not good
This was a family dinner and birthday. We had an early seating (6pm) so the restaurant wasn't too busy and was quiet. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant, and there were some lovely specials on the menu. The seafood was excellent. The small plates were perfect to start, and there was a lot of variety in the menu. The mains were delicious as well. Service was excellent. We had very attentive servers and our food came quickly. The desserts were very good as well. Overall we were very happy with our experience.
Dear Hannibal, thanks for the kind words, and time sending a feedback. I'll pass it on to the staff and chefs. We are working on a new menu to be launched soon with some great additions. It would be great to see you again at some point and hopefully we'll deliver the same standards. Please, do look for me when around. Kindest Manoel Collares General Manager
Went in for happy hour oysters with a friend and had a great time. I’d previously been to the Spitalfields branch which was stunning so had high hopes for this one and was not disappointed. The seafood was amazing. The service and staff were lovely. And the wine was delicious. We sat outside in the courtyard which had great atmosphere. Will return.
Our fries where forgotten and arrived as we were finishing the oysters. We decided to order some more oysters and another round of fries and the extract same thing happens again. No apology really. A bit lacking in service this time. Oysters were great as always though.
We love Wright Brothers but the food was not good
I had cockles, mussels and whelks
They all arrived on ice still frozen with no vinegar when we asked they gave us balsamic.
My husband had fish which he felt was not fresh!
It was a huge disappointment as I have to have treatment every day including Easter Monday and this was meant to be a treat.
Dear Angela, I would firstly like to apologise that we did live up to your expectations on this visit. We pride ourselves on our excellent seafood selections & freshest fish and clearly have not hit the mark on this occasion. I would really cherish the opportunity to discuss this directly. Your feedback in invaluable to us so thank you for taking the time to reach out. Please drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org when you can. Kind regards, Danny
Another amazing experience at Wright Brothers and the first time at Soho!
Attentive & friendly.
Amazing time manner, there is no waiting time. Food just flying out of the kitchen!
Whoever done my Boody Merry (gin), you did perfectly! It's one of the best bloody Merry I had in London!
Overall great place to enjoy the atmosphere and food.
The ambiance was great, the music a bit loud. The seafood platter was great the main course was good but a little on the small side. Overall good experience but came away thinking I could still eat something else.
Having been to the Borough Market restaurant on numerous occasions for lunch and dinner, I believed that our meal at the Soho restaurant would be equally as amazing. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience.
There were 4 of us, we were looking forward to the Seafood platter which we have had before at Borough. Unfortunately, our server didn't seem to have the correct information about the differences between the full house and deluxe platter, but kept trying to push us towards the £90 deluxe platter even though we had already stated we wanted to share the full house platter as a starter and order a number of dishes for our mains. We were informed that the full house platter contained langoustines but when it arrived it was actually crab (thankfully no allergies on our table).
For mains, we decided to share the following dishes: Galician octopus, squid ink taramasalata, plaice with brown shrimp from the daily specials menu and fries on the side. The taramasalata was truly horrible, the flatbread and lemon puree were not a good combination and were overly sweet (we didn't finish it), the plaice was overcooked, watery and lacking in flavour. The octopus was delicious (houmous was a bit of a weird pair to it) but the portion was minuscule and the fries were on the undercooked side for most of our tastes. We ended up ordering 2 portions of king prawns and a selection of oysters because we were still hungry and could have eaten more even after that!
Best bit about the meal was the wine.
The server was nice, just a real shame that she didn't have the correct information about menu and wasn't particularly attentive when it came to filling glasses with water etc..
Will not be returning to Soho any time soon
Dear Rachel, Thank you for your comments. I would like to express my sincere apologies that you're somewhat recent visit to WB Soho did not live up to your expectations. We truly appreciate all feedback especially as this time around you have certainly not had the type of experience we strive to offer. I would love to have the opportunity to discuss this directly. Please in your time drop me an email at email@example.com Kind regards, Danny
Very informed staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Fresh and first class seafood. Will happily come back for another visit.
Everything has been really nice!
Great servise, very nice food, lovely enviroment!
Tasty food - dover sole and plaice all cooked brilliantly. Attentive service...but expensive...£25 for main course on it's own so need additional sides is pretty steep...
My friend and I were there for the £1 oyster happy hour. Great deal for what it is! You only get to pick the one style of oyster - Jersey. Place is so beautifully set out. However service was lacking a bit and we were seated right next to the door, on a windy day, where people were coming and going, so it was unpleasantly cold when the door was left open and we had to get up ourselves numerous times to close it. Other than that, recommend to others to go back and try their food, maybe on a special occasion.
Good service, had a couple of cold mussels in my dish, think the food is overpriced and value for money not very good at all as a result of this. Can get better seafood elsewhere for a lot less.
Such a brilliant place and the food and wine were absolutely delicious.
We did find attacking the crab a bit daunting at first but the taste did make our efforts worthwhile.
I would certainly recommend Wright’s Brothers - I xan’t Wait to return.
Since I am a foodie, I didn't particularly enjoy the food that was served. We got the seafood platter and the shellfish had a lot of grit in them which wasn't pleasant. We decided to get some specials for our mains and they were overall a let down. Some dishes were extremely salty and ruined the whole dish for me and some of the seafood didn't seem as fresh as they could be. I wouldn't say the food was worth what we paid for.
However, the good thing was the service. Even though we went on Mother's Day and the restaurant had a good few tables full, the staff were happy to explain how the menu worked and were very professional.
An impressive menu. The sharing plates were a highlight. We had the tuna, scallops, prawns, sashimi and cuttlefish. I’d highly recommend the pork belly main and Korean whelks (nibbles). The oysters weren’t bad either! Service was proactive. There was a pleasant ambiance. A great start to our night.
The food was good but let down by the lacking of service attention
Great place to meet up with friends!
The restaurant looks beautiful and the ambience is really good. They have a lot of outdoors seats. The food was okay.. chips are good but the seafood was okay..
The seafood platter was absolutely delicious and nicely varied, the side dishes we ordered - the sashimi selection and Korean whelks were outstanding. As were the cocktails. However the desserts were decided average. The blood orange pavlova’s meringues were collapsed puddles of gloop and the white chocolate panna cotta was fairly bland. We would definitely go again, but stick to seafood and skip dessert. Oh and £4.50 for a very small portion of chips was pretty outrageous!
Out of wine choosen, fish platter disappointing, poor service, leftand went to finish our meal to another place
The Brixham 2-course lunch menu was an utter disappointment. I normally have high praise for Wright Bros, but this lunch menu was thin on substance. The starter was a very tiny fritto misto that was composed mostly of scraps and trimmings, and the main of whole grilled Plaice, sounded nice, but was very little flesh for the amount of bones, and came with nothing else on the plate. The waitress we had was grumpy, grudgingly gave me the tiniest taste of the house red, and proceeded to provide apathetic service throughout the meal. Quite sad to have had such a poor experience at WB after coming back over so many years.
Ordered tuna tartare; very salty. Waitress stated that she would offer to have the chefs make it again, but it would probably taste the same as that is how they prepare it.
Thought that was a bit odd, but then thought that is the way they purchased it, pre-made and then plated the tuna. That would make more sense as the kitchen had no control over the quality and taste of the food, only presentation.
service was not up to standard this time... big turn off
Restaurant empty. Starters not good value at all. Food ok not
Excellent value for money good atmosphere and eclectic crowd
Fantastic service, amazing food, lovely atmosphere!
Had an enjoyable post-work dinner here. Nice ambience despite being on busy Kingly Street. Very friendly and efficient service. The Morecambe Bay oysters were delicious, as was the cuttlefish and padron peppers. My wife had gurnard which she rated as nice but could have had a little more sauce. I had the ray wing, a sizeable portion. Unfortunately it had a very strong ammonia taint. I haven’t experienced this before with ray, however I have heard several theories. Too fresh. Too old. Incorrect processing. It’s normal for ray. Anyway I didn’t want to cause a scene and it was quite tasty once actually in the mouth so I didn’t say anything at the time. As is usual in fish restaurants I’d recommend ordering some sides of a green variety. Prices were acceptable for a seafood place.
Friendly and attentive service. Excellent food. Thoroughly enjoyable dinner
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
amazing food! the delux and full house platters are heavenly!!!
only suggestion: you are oysters experts: what about providing all possible sauces and letting the customers decide which one to opt for??
The service was great, friendly, professional and prompt, and the food was very good as was the wine!
Excellent food and service. Good choice and reasonable value.
There was something lacking here. Totally different experience to Wright Brothers in Borough Market. Little or no atmosphere. The starters were plonked on the table in the wrong place. We weren't asked whose was whose. The Korean whelks was a tiny portion, I thought for a moment is was a complimentary amuse bouche, it was that small. The deep fried oysters were disappointing. Lots of batter and jam. Not much oyster (maybe not the best choice in retrospect). The mussels were nice enough, but not that special. There was no effort to present any of the dishes attractively. No offer of bread to mop up mussel juice.
Very happy with the service and the food. Fined by myself and was well taken care off. Have booked to go back again for my anniversary with my boyfriend.
Excellent food! The prosecco is a little overpriced considering you can get a whole seafood platter for less. But overall a lovely evening, will definitely be returning.
