We both enjoy and ribeye steak, cooked perfectly to our request.
Top service en lekker eten. Makkelijk te bereiken vanaf het station.
Food was lovely, we had bottomless mimosa as part of our brunch. However the website suggested at the weekends during brunch they put on live music/DJ, this definitely was not the case. No music! I asked and the waitress said they never have live music! That was the reason we picked that place, so we were disappointed. The waiter also was a little too keen with topping up the water, which we came to realise at the end there is a charge of €3 for tap water!
Very enjoyable meal! Service was very good, nice menu selection, great food!
Wonderful dining here. Service was great. Shared the white Sauvignon which was very flavorful. Ordered the beef noodle stir fry and the chicken salad. Both tasted amazing and fresh! They also had a violinist playing music.
The view is AWESOME! Definitely would recommend if you are in the area.
Great food in a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. Service super friendly. Cannot fault anything. Will definitely be back.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try other dishes. Everyone loved the foods and dessert. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
Wyers had a good menu, food and service. The menu has enough variation for a casual or elegant dinner or to top in the bar table area for drinks and starters. Price point was good for the food and atmosphere. Like most of Amsterdam, pleasant service for Americans.
Fairly nice restaurant in a VERY touristy part of town. Got off on the wrong foot when the hostess kept us waiting then told us there were no tables near the window (when we see at least five two-tops next to the window) because of a party of nine right behind us (?!?) We asked the server who brought our drinks if we could move and she tried to explain it was matter of balancing service, which we grudgingly understood. She apparently could tell we weren't happy because she was back in two minutes saying she could move us, did so very courteously, then stayed a moment to chat and was VERY attentive all night. That young woman saved the place from a bad review!! Wish I had gotten her name, but if the manager is reading this, can the hostess and give our server a big bonus!
Food was good - my wife says her's was excellent, the man at the next take said his steak was outstanding), service was prompt and friendly (except as noted), pretty good value and quality, especially for the location. I'd definitely go again.
Brunch was nice
Not the money worth it
I was staying at the Kimpton de Witt and the Wyers is conveniently located within the hotel. It has a great open floor plan with windows that look out on the passing foot traffic of tourists. My wait person was lovely and attentive. Every dish placed in front of me was eaten with much fanfare. I appreciate the chefs attention detail and presentation. This was truly a lovely dining experience and I left content.
Food was very expensive for what it was. €30 for a sub par chicken and chips. Probably the reason why it wasn't even half full on a Saturday night. Disappointing as it has so much potential.
The review is extremely late in writing, but I would just like to say what an amazing experience we had at Wyers (as always) and that we will keep coming back!
Ps. Our next booking is already made :)
From the start it was a good experience. We were warmly greeted, our coats were taken and we were seated. We were offered drinks (bottomless mimosas which were amazing) and then given a few minutes to decide on the food. I had the Pulled pork benny, and my husband had the Cuban Sandwich. Both dishes were delicious! The poached eggs accompanying my dish were perfectly prepared (runny yolks, and no undercooked white). We shares Beignets for dessert (a specialty of Wyers) and it was wonderful.
Will definitely come again for the great food and wonderful service. Will also recommend for any occasion from everyday dining to a special occasion.
The brunch menu was lovely and the food itself excellent. We would highly recommend it as a restaurant.
Food was outstanding but the music was too loud and didn't fit well with the great food and surroundings. We put "noise level" as high, but don't agree with the "Energetic" description. We would say "Annoying." It seemed like music you would hear at the Hard Rock Cafe.
If the music had been more ambient, it would have been a perfect experience. We asked for a change in music and were told it wasn't possible.
Wine (especially from Maastricht) was excellent. Cocktails were a bit odd; i.e. beer and cumin taste in cocktails.
Kwaliteit eten was heel matig.
To be honest the overall experience was not great at all.
The quality of the food was not good at all and the prices were sky high.
Not worth it at all, you pay a hefty price and in the end the dessert was a small dessert buffet with a couple of cheese options and some chocolate cake...
Besides that, the service was quite bad. The only goal of the waiter was to give us our food and drinks. No interaction at all or any kind of interest in the customer.
It was like the seafood came right out of the ocean, when i ate the mussel, it was like i took a bite of sand.
- Prices were too high!
- Food quality was poor and not worth it compared to the price
- Service was quite bad
- Only positive was the interior
It's the first and the last time for me..
Great atmosphere, very friendly and professional service, delicious food.
Good meal at a convenient location. Had the prix fixe meal on Christmas night, and that worked out well for two weary travelers.
Came here for Christmas Day lunch, set menue. It was a really nice atmosphere and staff were nice. Food itself was ok but not necessarily outstanding, relatively small portions but nice. Would recommend.
In voorgerecht 3!!!
The restaurant was very good and service was excellent. The prices were a little bit higher than in normal restaurants, around 25-30e but the food was worth of it.
We loved the food and service. We’ll definitely go back!
Too expensive for what you get..the meant i ate was good..but It was not price worthy
The pancakes and the waffles with friend chicken were excellent. But did it really need to be so loud? It was Sunday at 12:15 and there a DJ and they were blasting music through the speakers. We had to ask them to turn it down so we could hear each other talk. I was not expecting to need to yell to my friends when going to a Sunday brunch. Also took forever to get the bill. But food was great.
Food was very good, service not quit. Value for price a bit off, too expensive for what you get.
We had a lovely meal with excellent ,attentive staff. It was a Birthday celebration.
The food was amazing .
6 of us enjoyed mainly juicy steaks & burgers.
We were 3 nieces & 3 Aunties celebrating a 50th Birthday.
I would highly recommend Wyers in Amsterdam for any occasion.
good service good food
good service good food
Great new restaurant. Cool decor, friendly staff, enjoyed watching the kitchen staff in action. Food was tasty and well presented. Really enjoyed the experience. Will go back again!
We had a wounderful evening with very tasting dishes and perfekt service. Great stuff. Congratulations!
The place is stylish, casual & comfortable. The service was attentive, informative & very friendly without being intrusive. All the staff wore natural unforced smiles, radiating a pride in their work that contributed very positively to the overall ambiance. The food was truly delicious on both of the occasions we visited. Sammy’s Lollipop Chicken Wings were a revelation, real American comfort food raised to a level that seems impossible & the Wood Grilled Veal Chop was tender, succulent & very tasty.
I loved the food! The service was good and the place looked very nice with a good vibe.
We spotted Wyers online. A new restaurant, looking cosy & trendy, so we went on a Friday night. When entering the bar, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and suggested a table near the front window. We spotted the bar seats at the open kitchen, and requested to move over there. That's how we met Chef SammyD and before we could decided on our menu, the chef invited us to taste a daily special starter, delicious raw salmon with sour vegetables. First thing we noticed: this starters is big. But hey, now we could not order starters. That would look cheap. So we did. We decided on Vitello Tonato and a Red Quinoa salad, and we both felt like Longhaas steak with béarnaise as entree. The Vitello Tonato was a double european sized tartare, no thin slices. It was delicious but looked bulky. The Red Quinoa salad was a day ration. The main was perfect: great (and lots of) french fries, steak grilled to perfection and a fresh salad. "We do have a lot of American visitors, sir" was the reply. No desserts of course, we felt stuffed and cancelled our bar crawl that night.
My bimonthly meetup with a studyfriend always starts with a dinner before the Opera. This time we ended up at Wyers, a superb place to chat, to enjoy good food and wine. The service was completely adjusted to our opera schedule, nice people, good ambiance. A great experience.
Visited Amsterdam from the US and this place was a gem! Highly recommend-everything about it was outstanding!
