Yakitori Boy Japas - Philadelphia
soft shell crab tempura, scallion spicy mayo, caviar outside
I wish they will bring back fried Ika rings.
This hasn’t been placed back on the menu because of covid 19 limited menu.
Other than that the place os always great for any occasion.
The beef Gyudon is amazing, and so is the Philly sushi roll.
Service is always good.
We love coming to yakitori Boy. The food and service is always amazing.
It was okay
Very fresh Sushi. Drinks were also made very well.
My favorite go to place in Chinatown. Nobody beats this place. Been coming here for 14 years and plan on continuing...
The food at Yakitori Boy is always great. I've been eating here for years.
I've been coming here for a few years now and everytime without fail, the service is good, atmosphere is nice and the food is consistently good.
Perfect place for hangin' out and have a good time! Open till 2AM. Great Sushi, Great Service, Great Ambiance! 🍣🍤🍶🍹🍺😘
went on valentine’s day so that is what it is. but the food was really good. service wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either.
Excellent food, please try the "bento box" for $20.00 one the guests order that it looked amazing. I ordered Udon soup and a spider roll.
This was our 2nd choice since Sampan was fully booked, 5 stars.
To begin, the atmosphere of the resturant was very dark but quiet. The table of 4 was small but had enough room for the food. The service was outstanding. If you are hungry and want food fast, then this is perfect for you. You get your food very quickly and the service is very attentive to your needs. The best food I ate was the katsu bowl and the lamb kabobs. However, the ramen soup and the sauteed mushrooms were very bland. Therefore, the food is a hit or a miss. The only strange part of the resturant was the bathroom. Most of the walls, floor and toilet were black. In addition, the floor was very sticky. Overall, I would try it again but it would not be my first choice to go.
With reservation. Some of our dishes were very good. Other dishes were either poor choices or just not very good.
Food was okay second time around. Was delicious the first week of restaurant week.
The food was very good and great for the value.
Food is great . Service was okay. Also Asked for our meal to be packed to go and it was brought back on the same plate. Seating Area is very tight and it was hard to have a personal date night since the people next to us were so close they could hear our whole conversion and kept interjecting.
The food and service has always been fantastic here.
Excellent value for your money
The Food was horrible. Sushi was mushy and Lamb tasted horrible
Karaoke upstairs, food was good but service could’ve been better. Went for restaurant week so busier than expected.
Just a weeknight out with friends not realizing it was restaurant week (RW).
Group ordered RW menu items & were stuffed with delicious selection from apps to dessert.
Japanese sidecar was delicious x 2.
Excellent service, food, and energy.
Upstairs karaoke is💥
The food was delicious and creative. The drinks were reasonably priced but the service was slow and it seemed understaffed. They refilled waters good but it took a while to get our food and drinks. Other than that it was a fun and yummy dinner spot!
Loved the food and service! Food was very interesting, the shrimp were the best! The waiters and waitress were extremely attentive
Food is always great here as well as the service. I’ve been coming here for years
I hadn’t been in the area for a while, so it was an extra WONDERFUL treat, to see my favorite server Jenna! And to show off your lovely food, to a fellow traveler! After a nine hour day of touring the city and seeing all of the Christmas lights and events, we had the most wonderful dinner there! Everything was super fresh, hot, and extra delicious! My friend who is always hungry, ordered the chicken Bento box and he was thrilled! He had more than enough, and even shared some of his veggie tempura! I absolutely loved the sweet potato tempura, especially! Thank you so much! I got to enjoy all of my veggie favorites, and more!!😇🎉✨🙏🎄
Merry Christmas!! 🎄✨🙏😇🤗
My lobster was terrific the fried shrimp and fried crab could have been cooked a little more and better. This was my third time there and this time my food could have been better for $65.
Fun izakaya style restaurant; come here for yakitori and try some new things. Mackerel is terrific as are yakinonigiri
Had our own private table to enjoy ourselves, service and food were great. Everyone made sure we were okay. Deff going again.
I read the reviews flipped through the pictures on operable and another site (not to be mentioned). I was excited to try this spot too bad it did not live up to the hype. Let me start with the good 1) the waiter was super attentive 2) the vegetable tempura was hot and just as good as that other Japanese hibachi place. The bad was a wet fried chicken with even wetter rice. I’ve definitely had better.
The only negative comment I have is that I don't feel you get a good value for your money when you purchase their speciality drink. We ordered the GreenTea-tini.
I went on the recommendation of a friend. I personally was not a fan of the meal. However, the other 9 people in my party enjoyed thei meal.
What a gem! Delicious, affordable, fun. Fantastic and genuine rendering of Japanese popular cuisine. A great discovery. The grilled skewers were all tasty and cooked to perfection—chicken livers, hearts and gizzards, and two types of beef. The rolls were luscious and surprising—scallops, shrimp, tuna. The yellow tail sashimi was heavenly. Service was impecable. Cannot recommend it more enthusiastically!
It is just a normal Chinese owned Japanese restaurant. Not authentic at all. Food is ok. My server is good. If you are looking for authenticity, don't go. I am a bit disappointed. Don't let the website fool you.
Never disappoint.. the quality of their food far outweighs the cost.. you’ll get more than your money’s worth.
Restaurant week nice options good food great service
I loved it. The mood inside was wonderful and the service was quick. I went for restaurant week and the $35 for more than worth it. Each course got better and better
I was in philly for a conference, and this place was within walking distance of our hotel. Service was attentive, at times too attentive, when last piece of food was removed from serving platter, some one quickly whisked it away along with dipping sauce. Food was tasty and swiftly brought to table, which i liked since we were starving. Will definitely go back
Dinner was amazing and the service was great.
