    Our food was exceptionally good, we tried things we hadn't had before and enjoyed everything we tried. The waiter was helpful and guided us through the menu, helping us to choose. Our desserts were amazing. All round great experience

    Fresh japanese food and great service. Lovely to see hand rolled nigri; and I had one of the best miso soups I've tasted (...and I've tasted a lot!) If you like tempura, sashimi and sushi...it's a no-brainer...

    Despite arriving 20 minutes early , we were greeted an shown to our table as soon as we arrived .Service excellent , staff polite food arrived promptly ( bearing in mind one guest was vegan and another had a severe allergy to onions) & was hot . Too full to even consider ordering dessert . Excellent value for money.

    A brilliant restaurant, tucked away just off the main bay walkway. Authentic food which tasted amazing. Cooked fresh and received quickly. Would come again when in Cardiff.

    First time at Yakitori 1 and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is very clean and decorated very stylishly and modern. The service was great, friendly with out being over the top. Our food was excellent, we went for a select of sushi and other hot small dishes rather than a main meal and it was very tasty and very well presented. There is a good selection of food and drinks to choose from, we will definitely be going back.

    it was great food, the place needs better decor and less noisy music. the staff were quick with the food and friendly. it's a little pricy but really tasty. the menu book teared and it was a too varied simpler menus are easier on the eyes.

    Great freshly prepared maki rolls. Dragon rolls were particularly good- super fresh and refreshing. Prawn and chicken parcels had too much wonton wrapper which was quite oily but flavour of small amount of filling was lovely. Karrage chicken could have been crispier.

    If there is a better Japanese restaurant in Wales I haven't found it. Consistently excellent since it opened they have never failed to deliver sublime food of the freshest quality. Nuff said
