Restaurant busy on Sat night (always a good sign). We customised set menu to suit our tastes, and waiter made recommendations. Food was very good. Had a mixup with the wine order - there were 2 Malbecs on the list which the waiter hadn't realised, and our order for Argentinian Malbec came to the table as the cheaper French Malbec from the house wines. So perhaps a little more education on wines is required. Overall, quite expensive, but tasty. Toilets need attention and soaps topping up
We have bern going to this restaurant for years. Service was immaculate. When we arrived there was some confusion over the booking but they went out of their way to fit us in which was amazing! food was to die for have nothing negative to say. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I just tried Yang Sing in Manchester and it was awesome. The dishes I tried were tasty and large portions. The salt and pepper ribs for starters were heaps good. And the service was excellent.
Excellent service and food as always
Lovely meal, very nice steak rolls and char Sui buns!!!
Busy and very nice!
Outstandingly good food.
A great banquet.
Well recommended :)
Yang Sing Manchester . Request for seating in a booth was granted. Throughout meal service was very attentive. Ordered the £29.90 Banquet making one change to the Dim Sum. Ostrich was not available the course replaced by spare ribs. The Dim Sum starters were good but the ribs were less acceptable, the sauce tasted powdery. The fish dish in the main courses was similar . All other dishes were fine and the fresh fruit at the end of the meal was a nice. House Dry White Wine v acceptable.
Good food. An amazing menu with so many choices available
A good experience. Ask them to create a menu for you and you get the chance to try many foods you wouldn't otherwise. Expensive but worth it
Food excelent quality - we had the 6 course banquet - they were very busy which in itself is a good sign - Anson who served us was excelent and very attentive - warm plates came out to early so these had cooled by time meal items arrived - lots of different menu item choices and lots of differnt choices compared to the bulk standard restaurants - Dim sums supplied as part of banquet meal were terrific - would be worth going before 5:pm just for the Dim sum menu - Fair price charged
Busy Saturday night at Yang Sing restaurant, Manchester. Very welcoming and efficient staff and food and wine were very good. Very glad that we had made a reservation and look forward to our next visit.
Excellent meal at Yang Sing - as always.
Didn't amke it this time as Father wasn't well but recently visited Yang Sing in Manchester and had an excellent banquet meal for 4. Food was very good especiallly the crispy duck with excellent service and good value. It remains one of the north west's best and is very disabled friendly if you need that.
Food was marginal, tofu dish wasn't very good. Service was alright but felt rushed, more so even compare to chinese restaurant standard. Would not recommend to anyone and would avoid visiting again unless desperate.
The food at the Yang Sing was outstanding - as always :)
Yang Sing Manchester
Food excellent service a bit slow
The Manchester Yang Sing has never yet let me down in all my years of visiting. My latest visit at 6:00pm on a Saturday evening resulted in another great meal. The restaurant was full and nicely lively, the service great, the banquet fantastic, the waitress very helpful and witty. She noted the various dislikes of our group, then served up a banquet that we all thoroughly enjoyed. Altogether an enjoyable 3 hours of eating and chatting.
Having been born in Hong Kong, I would say I know better than most people in Uk about eating dim sum. however this is not the best and if I remember, I will not come back for its lunch dim sum. Service and environment is good however.
Every year when we visit Manchester we always go to The Yang Sing for lunch. The dim sum is usually of a very high standard. However on the last two occasions it has been very 'average' and therefore most disappointing. Other friends and family members have said much the same. On our next visit we hope it has improved otherwise we will be lunching elsewhere!
Yang Sing Manchester
Excellent in every way
Yang Sing, Manchester
The Yang Sing's long standing reputation is well deserved. The imaginative and unusual, yet still most definitely Chinese cuisine is excellent.
I've yet to have a bad meal here - dropped in for the Christmas banquet on a Sunday afternoon - perfect time to enjoy a Yang Sing special - service and food as good as I've ever had there.
Yang Sing gave us a lovely meal. They were helpful to adapt a banquet menu for my non-fish eating husband. Every course was cooked beautifully and the service was warm. Loved the band who played Christmas carols for ten minutes. Highly recommended
Yang Sing Manchester. When we arrived they hadn;t got any record of our booking so take your confirmation. However it was no problem and they seated us within 10 mins. Had the set banquet for 5. Excellent but by the time we got to the main course we awere so full we left most of it so order less than you think you'll need. Service was superb, attentive and friendly, loads of food, all hot on arrival. Would thoroughly recommend.
Yang Sing, Manchester
The food was nice but a bit overpriced for Chinese, especially compared to London! We had to wait 20 minutes to get our table; staff was nice.
Looked after by the staff despite a large group and a busy night. Food of a generally high standard - better than most city centre Chinese restaurants. Would def recommend.
As ever, superb chinese food, attentive waiters can't wait to go back....
Yang Sing Manchester. This restaurant is something special. It is always very crowded. busy and noisy, just occasionally this affects the service. The concept of the dining and the quality of the food puts that in the shade. Tell them what you like and they design and bring it. The highlights of our meal was a lobster dish with a unique sauce and a sizzling orange prawn main course.
we had a very pleasant meal at Yang Sing. A little pricey but worth it. The menu does not do justice to the dishes, there is such a selection to choose from, they come up much different than the description, you have to be a little daring! We saw dishes being delivered to other tables and kept asking what they were and there were lots of alternatives that you could ask for e.g. basket of vegetables which we swapped for scallops.
Yang Sing, Manchester Princess St
Bit empty for a Saturday lunchtime but had very prompt and attentive service.
Good dimsum dishes and flat noodles with lots of beef.
Mainly northern chinese cuisine so might be spicy.
Looks like good facilities for banqueting and business dinners upstairs.
Outstanding food and service - as usual !
Great food, great service, what more can you ask for!!!
Yang Sing in Manchester is busy but with attentive and friendly staff. who will give extensive advice about the menu. Food is of a high standard but the lack of a desert is for me a pity
Food at the Yang Sing in Manchester was fantastic. We ordered the buffet but the waiter said he would bring dishes he recommends and it was fantastic - especially the calamari in cheesey batter!
The Yang Sing Manchester
Great Food,Great Service for a party of 12
Enjoyed great chinese food at Yang Sing in Manchester. Good sample sizes, the food wasn't at all greasy and it was really tasty. The best chinese food I've had in a long time. Would have been nice to be in one of the quiet booths as the atmosphere in the main restaurant was a bit lacking.
Plenty of food which just kept coming - The choice was good and they accommodated our differing choices of food.
Classic chinese with a reputation that on this occassion it did not meet. The service was poor- lots of staff, none of whom were observant on customers needs or service focused. Dim sum starter was tasy, but duck main course was bland and the sauce was MSG laden! Big dissapointment
