Our sushi concept is “without soy sauce – but if you want to”. Of course, we can serve as much soy sauce as the diner desires; however, what we want to emphasise is the taste of the fish. Therefore, each piece of sushi that we serve is brushed with the right amount of soy sauce and topped with an accompaniment that harmonises with the flavour of the fish.

Worst Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. Not just the fish isn’t fresh, the way they cook the fish is a waste of food. They added too many ‘external factors’ for the sushi.
With such price point, this is not acceptable. I know a lot of people rate this place as a very nice restaurant, that’s only because it’s a place for fusion Japanese food. If you are looking for real Japanese food, don’t come here. The only nice thing we had in this restaurant is the Waygu beef and that’s it.
The food is outstanding - this is the best sushi we’ve ever had. However, the service was appalling - slow, inattentive and confused. The price of the wine was inexcusably high.

Yes for a first time in order to try but I am not sure I will come back as twice I did not have nice table and manager did not care

Always a great place for amazing sushi
I cannot eat coriander and I told at the beginning to the waitress who served one of the dishes with coriander without telling me. If I were really allergic to it I would have had a very bad reaction and you would be in trouble. The level of service is very low and has always been like that

Amazing place and amazing food, the staff is very polite and everything is thought through. Definitely worth it!
Although the place looks stunning and the food is good, the waiters are more busy with their own look and serving game than the customers they serve - the wait is appalling and I never saw the sign of the birthday candle I had specifically requested.. so perfect if you don’t care!
Terrible service. Having been sat down for an hour and just finishing dinner, the waiter came over and asked if we’re finished. Then said they had a seat at the bar should we want to move as he had people waiting for our table. Shocking service and very poor etiquette. Would not recommend.

This is one of our favourite Japanese restaurants. We have been there several times before and it never disappoints. Even though it was busy, the service was seamless.
Very bad service, the food is not that good and overly expensive for the food you eat.
The atmosphere is nice and that’s it! Would have spend my money on other great restaurants in London.

Birthday - Sunday brunch
Great food, great service
This is not our first visit to Yasmin but sadly don’t think we will return anytime soon.
An entire tray of drinks was knocked onto our guest, her handbag and leather jacket. Whilst the waiter was profusely apologetic (it was a mistake) the manager of the restaurant no where to be seen. Whilst we settled the bill, we asked to speak to him - looking for at least an apology. His comment was “Oh I was meant to come over but I forgot”. He did not care to ask if we enjoyed our meal, whether our clothing was OK or if we were OK ( our friend washed and dried her top in the restroom!). Instead he left it to his poor staff to run around whilst he dodged our table. Such a pity as it is actually a wonderful restaurant.

The duty manager this time didn't perform accordingly and we are sorry about this, and can grantee this will not happen again. I have visited this restaurant almost 20 times now in 1.5 years and I have never had an experience as awful as this! Absolutely horrible and it was obvious the boss was not around. Everyone just kept on messing up repeatedly and then apologise. The waiter even drops two bottles of coca cola on our table. We waited 30+ minutes from our reservation time to be seated and got offered smth while we waited “on the house” and then they charged us. Service was slow (kept on apologising for forgetting everything). Only thing they know how to ask for is the tip. Food quality was very good. But again so obvious that the boss was not around.

An excellent restaurant and venue. I recommend the tasting menu which is pretty much perfection and really fun.
Bottom line- Best restaurant we went to while visiting London! This is comparing it with Michelin 2 star rated restaurants

Went for the Sunday all you can eat brunch. Great value for the quality produce. Went twice. First time was impeccable. Second time, different chefs, poor rice and rolls were too soft, falling apart. Quality of fish was good both times.
Portions far too small
Simply fabulous, from arriving to leaving. I felt like a very welcome guest
Beautiful and spacious. A tad too quiet because its quite a large space and was not very busy the night we went. Also there is no signage outside the restaurant so really easy to miss it. Portions of the robata were quite small compared to similar priced and pedigree restaurants

I was offered a reservation at 2pm for lunch. We were made to feel very rushed: we were made to order within 5 minutes of sitting down and rather than being able to graze through their menu at leisure, we were told we had one opportunity to order and that was it. It was a shame, as we would have ordered more if given the opportunity. They were overly quick to clear tables, even at one point removing plates for a dish we hadn't completely finished. I felt sad that this experience cost £100. The food was good, but you can get equally good food with way better service elsewhere.
Great set lunch
We went to yashin sushi bar previously and loved it, so thought to go to ocean house for valentines. Sadly the service was poor- slow and disorganised. The food was not worth the value, dishes were incredibly small and the monkfish was over cooked. Initially we were placed at a table in a corner with only one other table away from the main restaurant so asked to move, and were placed in the main restaurant area. Organisation for valentines was not good and menu was overpriced for what we received

The quality of food is far from what it should be considering the very high price. We’ve lived in Japan for some time and understand what wagyu beef should taste like. This was far from perfection.
The waiters also not on point with keeping our glasses full with wine. They should be more attentive to their customers.
Bottom line, if you are after a real Japanese high class experience, you won’t find it at Yashin.
I went to Yashin Ocean House for my wife's birthday, upon booking I requested to see if anything could have been done, they confirmed they can do something special, when I ordered desserts.
I ordered a dessert each, nothing was done, no acknowledgement - nothing. I would understand if they were busy, but half of the restaurant was unoccupied.
From the very moment we walked in to the moment we left, the service was absolutely excellent. Wonderful lady on the desk was very welcoming and our hosts Dennis and Ziki were very smiley ad informative. The food was stunning - particularly good was the mackerel skin and bone and the orange foie gras. We sat at the sushi counter and we ordered champagne - we were celebrating our anniversary and very kindly our host gave this to us with his best wishes. I can't recommend this place enough. Truly a wonderful, interesting and most importantly; delicious, evening! Thank you to all at Yashin Ocean House.
