Yashin Sushi Bar
Our sushi concept is “without soy sauce – but if you want to”. Of course, we can serve as much soy sauce as the diner desires; however, what we want to emphasise is the taste of the fish. Therefore, each piece of sushi that we serve is brushed with the right amount of soy sauce and topped with an accompaniment that harmonises with the flavour of t

experience well below expectations, which were tuned on outstanding previous dinners at the restaurant. dishes generally less rich and savory than previous times, one piece (cuttlefish) was so hard - not edible.
Love the omakase set here, and other small bits and pieces. Will be trying ‘one by one’ next time.
I have been to this restaurant over 10 times and have always enjoyed it. However, in my recent visit, I have had to wait a good 2 hours for my man dish to be served. I have asked for them more than twice over the past two hours where my dish is and the only reply I received was the chef was preparing. I had other. customers who came in and ordered after me, but still got their food served first and left before I even got served my main dish. I was very disappointed with the speed of delivery of the food to the table. I do have to appreciate that the waiter and waitress tried to compensate my long wait with an extra piece of sushi, but I still believe that the speed of delivery and the service, in this sense, was unacceptable.
We had one by one menu experience..
Chefs were great, hence the experience was very engaging...
Service was attentive...
Definitely go back for more
The receptionist gave us two sit at the bar while I have booked a proper table. I had to speak to the manager to get the table.
Otherwise, food is always very tasty and you can have a proper conversation.
Incredibly slow service. Unusual for Yashin.
If you know Japanese food well, you would not call this restaurant a typical Japanese restaurant.
First time I have seen a "Japanese Restaurant" with only Gaijin's (foreigners)
BUT .... this fusion food (japanese food adjusted to western taste) was just great. The Quality of the fish Great. We loved it all. The presentation, the taste, the sake ..... worth the money. Definitelya place to go back.
Quality sashimi. The truffle otoro was unforgettable! We were seated downstairs so felt a bit neglected and our main dishes took awhile to arrive. If it's a small group, I recommend reserving the bar seating.
The feels like a truly Japanese experience, except for some of the fishes (specially the Tuna in all three different cuts we tried) that tasted OK but not as fresh as we were expecting. Other than that the experience was very worth while.
Food was fine and fresh. Excellent quality.
However the bill for two people was almost £200 , which is exceptionally high.
- service quite slow
- food overpriced
- location good but ambience was average
Embarrassingly slow service. Waited one hour between starters and main. Food is just okay, and some seafood like uni was very low quality. Very disappointing and did not live up to expectations.
This was probably the best meal I have had this year. What incredible food and so beautifully presented.
Best sushi and wagyu in London
Always a treat. So good and fresh. Lovely staff.
The restaurants sushi quality was good for London, but if you’re used to fresh/outstanding sushi for the same price you may be disappointed here.
Also, traditional hand towel wasn’t offered upon arrival — something that should be standard at sushi restaurants of this price point.
Exceptional quality sushi. One of only a handful of this caliber in London.
Everything was very good to excellent as always. The new member the service team - Roberto - continues the very, very good service culture.
First time of sitting at the counter upstairs - completely different atmosphere to downstairs; maybe a slightly more eclectic collection of locals) - great, but pricey, lunch special of 11 pieces + soft shell crab roll. Beautifully presented, attentive service and the intriguing & subtle tastes of the sushi "without soy sauce". Slightly overenthusiastic "Irasshaimase" - or maybe my guest just talked too quietly and has never been to Japan! Nice lunch
We completely enjoyed our experience. We loved the fact that each piece was served with the proper flavor and no sauce was needed other than the sauce that was provided. Loved it!!! We will go back next time we are in London.
We had the 15 pieces Omakase menu and it was worth every penny! The sushi is prepared in front of you by a skilled chef, it was a pleasant food journey! Will recommend to my friends and definitely go back!
Yashin was amazing! Delicious food, we got the Omakase and it was definitely worth the price for the quality of the sushi, while the service was great as well. The only downside is that the ambiance is quite different upstairs and downstairs; we were seated downstairs and it didn't feel quite as upscale, we were a bit cramped. If we went again I would definitely book at the bar or at the high tables upstairs!
Stunning experience one by one! The best omakase in London, great food and awesome service! I'll come back
Thank you for your fantastic feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the quality of the food and the service. We hope to welcome you back more often!
Best sushi in London!
Great sushi with a slightly modern touch would defiantly return
There is no doubt that the quality of the sushi is excellent; the problem is the phenomenal price: £45 for 11 pieces, which works out at £4 a bite; £7.50 for the so-called "paradise prawn" tempura - that's £7.50 for a single prawn cooked in slightly soggy batter. With the (automatically-added) 12.5% service charge, we ended up paying close to £100 for a very-brief dinner for two (no alcohol) - after which we both felt starving and had to top up with a pizza on the way home…
Food was excellent. But the maitre was exceptionally arrogant and ruined the experience. Will Not return to this one and keep going to my local.
Highly Overpriced restaurant with average food. Will not come back -
high quality sushi
Food was okay, but the service was way too slow.
The sushi here is absolutely delicious with great combinations of flavours. We went with friends who don't eat gluten and they were amazed at the wonderful tasting gluten free rock shrimp tempura. There is something for everyone. Would recommend it for foodies and would warn that this fabulous food is expensive!
My brother-in-law recommended we eat here during our first visit to London. I have never had such amazing sushi in my life. The truffle toro melted in our mouths. Every bite was delicious. The ginger is real and phenomenal. I usually don't like to spend a lot on food but we wanted to end our trip with a memorable meal and it did not disappoint. The staff and service was excellent. They even made my son a bowl of seared salmon and rice since he can't eat raw fish. He said it was delicious!
The food was amazing, and the service is great! Keep it up!
The service was too slow; 45mins wait for two cold dishes.
I love sushi but they've taken this to another level, some unique and taste bud awakening ingredient combinations. I won't ruin the surprise by trailing them, go try them for yourselves - you won't regret it.
Valuable one-by-one experience. Young chef with talent and attitude. Tasty food.
The food was excellent as always! The service was trying too hard. A bit less intrusiveness would help. The spanish neighbours at the Sushi counter seemingly thought they were along in the restaurant, that's the only explanation why they were talking on the mobile phone via speaker with somebody while eating.
