We had lunch there. If you book, ask for a window table- more privacy.
Sol it was quiet, at the central table. Food absolutely delicious and good value lunch menu at £16.
Fabulous night- there for my friends 50th - amazing food and great service! Will be back!!
Loved the place, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was kind and food was excellent with little waiting time between the dishes. On the upset side of things, we could have done without the unnecessary interruptions from the manager, it did became a bit annoying at one point. We also noticed that the staff weren’t being treated kindly by management at the duration of our stay.
This is my third time at Yeni... each time i'd like to come back again... Absolutely amazing place...
Food was delicious from the starter till the dessert! The staff was also great and super friendly.
service was fabulous from start to finish, the staff we're friendly & gave excellent recommendations when we asked. Food and cocktails were delicious. Highlight was definitely dessert where we had kadajifi and katmer, delicious!
Will definitely be back for more!
Love the food, every dish has so many layers of flavour !
Very, very good food, we shared all the small plates, plus a main course, extra bread, and an extra portion of the herb and cheeses fritters, all the tastes were sublime, great combinations, the cocktails were also very good, but took an age to arrive at the table. The downside of all these little tasty items is that the bill gets to a very big number quickly.
Waiters were great, manager was attentive, all staff very friendly - they even went the distance with a candle in our son’s dessert.
Lovely relaxed and quite busy for a Monday night. Every course was spot on, baked Alaska to die for. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Excellent service and unusual menu. Loved this spot.
Nice starters but mains were very plain - nothing special
Food delicious, and starters are especially creative. Staff are very attentive and accommodating.
Was really looking forward to a nice Turkish pre-theatre dinner with friends. Ambiance of the restaurant is nice and the cocktails/lemonade really nice. However, overall we were quite disappointed. Having seen that they offer a pre-theatre menu and that we could only have the table for 2h (as told), we wanted to try it. It turned out that it wasn't offered to us on the first instance and had to ask for it. The choice looked good and price reasonable (£16 for 3 courses). Having received the dishes, it turned out that they were extremely small and nothing spectacular (e.g. home lamb sausage dish was a 2inch half slice of a dry overcooked sausage, some bean mash and a thin slice of cucumber for decoration!). No bread was served at all (first for a Turkish restaurant), we ordered 2 portions of the bread basket at £4 each, which had 1 hollow slice cut in 2 of a sourdough bread and 2 small buns! The food ingredients were cheap and overall for over £100 bill we were left disappointed and somewhat hungry. Would not go back.
Delicious food with a lot of vegetarian options and nice cocktails.
Just pick anything from the menu. All good and authentic. Dumplings are must try.
This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The food is out of this world. We have started with small sharing plates and kept on ordering. All were amazing whereas the yogurt dumplings were the best. We had beef ribs and lamb shank as main course. Both were impeccably seasoned, cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. To finish the meal, we had crisp pastry and pudding fritters with house made ice cream which were rich and delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and the decor is cool right from the doorway. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Fabulous! Wonderful location. Food is amazing. Service is good.
We loved everything we had. Super delicious. Great cocktails and great service.
An amazing experience! Superb food in a delightful, relaxed environment. One of the best meals we have ever had.
We like Yeni and often visit for lunch. On this occasion however, with a new waiter looking after us, confusion and mistakes happened.
I found myself paying £41.50 (1/4 share of £166.00 bill) for a roll, a couple of glasses of water, one glass of very nice white wine, a smaller portioned snow pea salad starter, no main - veggie dumplings (think it was passed to another guest on our table) - and a panna cotta followed by a cup of mint tea.
I have never before in the dozen or so times we have visited had such frustration here.
Wonderful restaurant, the food is delicious, the service excellent, but it is too noisy.
Extraordinary tasteful and delicious Turkish cuisine presented to Londoners. Very friendly stuff outstandingly authentic fresh well prepared ingredients such a treat I was there on my Valentine’s Day date with my girlfriend we both left super satisfied and super happy after trying out any restaurant
Great food. Had the lunch menu and it is unbeatable on a value and flavour basis. Great staff. Will be going again
Great place! Amazing food and service. Portions are quite small, so more of it would make it perfect.
The food is excellent, the service warm and helpful and the atmosphere is the exactly the right mix of thought-through but informal. We had a lovely time!
I loved the actual restaurant - really nice atmosphere and service, but the food was indifferent and really expensive. Beetroot sorbet with fritters anyone? And very expensive - the bill for two, and we only had two starters each and one dessert, was £85, which I thought extortionate. When was the last time you went to a Turkish restaurant and had to pay for bread? Normally they give you so much you leave it. So, nice try but I won't be back.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Yeni. It was our first time at the restaurant. Every single dish was delicious. Staff provided excellent service, suggestions, and attention. They knew we were going to a theater afterwards and made sure that our meal was done in a timely fashion. We were visiting London and found this restaurant on OpenTable.
Our friends, who actually live in London, had never been to Yeni and were delighted to find such a fabulous restaurant. Looking forward to dining there again in the future. Our compliments to the chef and staff. Thank you for such a great evening.
Excellent food and service throughout. Ideal for lunch or for dinner parties.
Tasty food, good vibe. Will revisit definitely.
Delicious food, but really small portions for your money, a bit stingy really.
Great starters, aged feta and dumplings in particular. Mains way overpriced. Octopus not well cooked. Lamb not special depapite £20+ price.
Very nice place, good food and friendly staff
I found hair in my dish.
And the server brought another, more expensive bottle of vine ( twice the price) then the one I had chosen. ( he apologized and did nt charge the extra amount). Very loud restaurant. The names of the dishes are misleading : they are personnal creative versions of the chef , using names of traditional Turkish and Middle eastern dishes. Inwas disappointed, but the worse eqs the hair I found in my plate ( they applogized, but, still.. Lost my appetite..
New vision on Turkish cuisine. Especially the manti is a journey to heaven
We were two couples who we dine together regularly. This is the first time we all had a great meal. Amazing authentic food, nice ambiance and impeccable service.
Fantastic!.... We are so pleased with the experience and can't wait to go again.
Great restaurant, central location.
Very welcoming and friendly team - shown to an upstairs table with a view to the street.
A loud birthday party added to the atmosphere - while a little raucous they had a great time and we were happy to help the celebration.
Our waiter was clearly an expert - he knew the menu very well and helped us pick the courses for our meal.
We started with apple and ginger gin based cocktails - really good.
We had relied on the waiter to pick all of the dishes - and honestly every dish was perfect - indeed at one point we all became quite emotional as the food was just so good (we had nearly finished and were simply not ready for the meal to be over!)
We shared five starters - aubergine dumplings , olive-oil braised beetroot, pan-fried feta, prawn-stuffed vine leaves and grilled lamb sausages. Every dish was amazing!
We then had a bulgur fritter with mushrooms, slow-roasted beef-ribs and roasted lamb shank. Plus a side of Kisir salad. Again, faultless.
It is not often that every element of a meal has been so well prepared and presented that it exceeds every expectation. The waiter enhanced the whole experience by providing a detailed explanation for every dish as well as backstory that really showcased the Turkish cuisine.
So sad they are closed on Sundays!!!
Had an amazing meal here before Christmas with three friends of mine. Booked a table for two this time. I was having dinner with a friend I'd not seen in over a year.
It took 2.5 hours for us to have 1 starter, two mains and two desserts because we were left unattended for so long between courses with the menus in our hands, knowing what we wanted. We ordered two rounds of drinks, the second round was forgotten about until I prompted the waiter (we gave him 20min to remember, I'm a patient man, having worked in service myself). Her duck was very dry. I ordered the sea bass. The flavour and texture was nice but it was quite challenging to eat because of all the bones. Really nothing special. Steak tartare for starters and desserts were very nice indeed.
Overall, felt neglected and let-down, then handed a bill for £140.
Great food, excellent ambience. Bit pricey but then it is Soho.
Unusual (for London) high quality Turkish.
