It was ok, but not what you would expect from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant - no frills, very basic - canned orange juice for example - nice in the sunshine though
We arrived expecting an outside table ready for dinner but were given a wooden table with no heater, tablecloth, cutlery or glasses which was a bit of a surprise. They did have blankets which helped and the staff were all very friendly and helpful so despite the service being slow we had a lovely time. Perhaps prepare the tables so it feels a bit more welcoming in future. The food was delicious though so will go back but hopefully sit indoors!
Noisy junction, no heaters. Only 1.5 hours booking which was short to eat
We waited over an hour for our food that when it came was overcooked and okayish. There was no apology. Not much style and very little substance, unfortunately this was not reflected in the price. The best thing I can say about the experience was the hand cream in the toilets. We will definitely not be returning, very disappointed.
Great food in a nice setting. The staff are lovely!
The actual restaurant is nice but looks very dated! Burger was so salty and should come with chips! I would not go back, much nicer places around that area
Overpriced for the food quality. Don't feel the passion
The food was AMAZING. It was cooked beautifully. I visited the branch on Sunday and thought I’d be disappointed by their small Sunday menu but actually I was pleasantly surprised. The Hiramasa king fish tartare was delightful - a mix of flavours - I advise putting it in the lettuce/greens to consume. For main I got the crispy skin trout and it was cooked to PERFECTION. The mix of flavours left me wanting more but I was unable to eat more as I was so full. My plate was as clean as possible, I left NOTHING. My friend and I got triple cooked chips and grilled broccoli as sides and they were delicious. Next time I come here I WILL get dessert! The only negative was the loud family next to our table but that can’t be blamed on the restaurant. By the way for every main meal purchased, a child can eat for free!!
We 4 adults had a lovely late lunch after a day at the zoo with 2 primary age children (one household). The food was excellent and the service exemplary. All the staff went our of their way to ensure that our lunch was relaxed and enjoyable. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet in mid afternoon. The seasonal menu is very good value.
The food was really nice and Iza's service was phenomenal. I'll be back
Food was good as for value for money i think burgers should come with fries for that kind of money .
Excellent Sunday roast, good service and nice ambience
Shame it was empty but food was amazing
A quiet night in town, unsurprising given current restrictions, but it didn't help the ambience in the restaurant which was very dark. The bar was more lively and we would have preferred to have been offered the bar menu. My wife's meal was tepid and needed to be re-heated, and came back only marginally warmer. The quality of my steak was poor, very sinewy. If this is the dining experience in a more central location we will stay local. Disappointing
Small black flies bothering us around the table . Shepard’s pie decidedly average. Tastier one at home
Very nice food, well presented. Good service. A bit expensive but very good
Very good Sunday roast and great service.
The autumnal chill matched the funereal atmosphere in the room. As we walked in it felt like something terrible had just happened. The restaurant was almost empty. We were offered a large table near the window with low seats. The staff happily showed us to another table but the steely blue formica style tables and deep blue seats continued the morgue-like theme in the stark lighting. An injection of colour and warmth is needed. Perhaps when the sun shines through the impressive curved Georgian windows there is more joy inside the dining room. Our meals were good but the ambience let down the whole experience.
The food was amazing, only problem what we had is with the loud music, we almost had to scream to each other.
Great food, relaxed but friendly and professional service. WOuld love to come back when next in the area
Very good as usual and the staff and manager are a real asset to the place, very professional.
Would recommend for sure.
Can never go wrong with any of Gordons restaurants. Love them all.
Very attentive and polite service, but sadly the food was a little boring. We ordered beetroot salads, which were great, but our burgers that followed were overcooked and the bread was dry and stale.
We tried the 'Love London' menu, so the meal was good value and the food quality was fair, but we would have been disappointed if we were paying full price.
Always excellent with first class food and service. Very accommodating of our young daughter.
Had a lovely roast here, highly recommend! They had a tasty vegetarian option and my husband had the beef, which he said was cooked perfectly. Amazing food and service.
The food was lovely - fish and chips and the chicken burger followed by toffee sundae and brownie. Nice and quiet, plenty of space around us. Two of their chairs need an update but that’s nothing to complain about. Service was attentive and efficient and the Rose wine was light and fruity.
I rarely put feedback but felt I needed to this time.
Booked thinking that a Gordon Ramsay restaurant would be good quality. It wasn’t.
Restaurant: gastropub. Neither restaurant or pub. A bit shabby.
Service: Friendly. Took food off the bill that wasn’t up to standard.
Food: limited selection and a bit basic. Cottage pie ok but nothing special with tasteless broccoli. Chicken burger looked and tasted awful. Covered in a sickly spicy/cheese sauce. My wife couldn’t touch it. Kids menu looked ok. 5 yr old had fish/chips. Floury batter not up to standard. Chips fine.
Drinks: no complaints.
Facilities: nasty smell downstairs from the loos. Baring in mind it’s COVID, the loos were dirty.
Lovely staff amazing food. Great atmosphere
Fantastic cozy pub, an ideal spot to catch up with friends
Lovely location and polite staff but need better quality food.
The menu online is not the one you get to chose from when you get there. It was very misleading and the offer menu was disappointing.
Gorgeous... Only rated low for Ambience due to Covid
Good Saturday lunch date.
First dinner out since Lockdown and was a positive experience. We sat outside. Menus were online. There was hand sanitizer inside the doorway. Extra sanitizer in the bathroom as well as soap and hand cream.
We had chosen the restaurant as we expected this from a GRH establishment.
Food as always was good. The Love London Menu was extremely good value for money.
Great food and great service at an affordable price. the Manager and staff are all very professional and we had a great evening thanks to them
Pleasant, spacious surroundings. Chairs literally OTT. Fish starters and main courses excellent. Wine OK. Steak not up to standard. Meat quality poor.
Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly service. I would recommend this place.
food and service was fantastic
Always excellent, helpful staff and excellent food/wine.
