DSTRKT Ratings and Reviews
Restaurant experience was very positive. The attempt to go to the club afterwards less so; Hoards of people coming in, rude hostesses, requirements for drinks to go in plastic glasses, but no plastic glasses behind bar, requirements for ID without any flexibility, for example details and photos being taken on the spot. When we finally decided to not bother we were unable to collect our coats due to general chaos. I had to go back to restaurant and ask for a manager so we could be given our coats. This is not a STK/radio rooftop equivalent, but maybe they’re not trying to be!
The restaurant was a very busy as we arrived at about 7 pm.They have amazing cocktails to start! There is one with passionfruit in it which is to die for. The menu is really good with something for everyone, we were eating with a veggie who only sometimes eats fish. They absolutely loved the fish sushi as did we. We had a whole table of starters and sushi between 4 of us and the prices were very reasonable for such good food. Favorite dish was the black cod. I would definitely go back again and recommend.
This was the first time I'd been to DSTRKT and I really enjoyed it. I can't fault the menu (three courses and a bellini for £27 offer), the décor, food or the service. Nice atmosphere and not too busy on a weeknight. I expect it gets a lot busier at the weekend.
I was sceptical about booking this venue due to the back feedbacks but I'm glad I went with it!!
This is in the heart of London and offers everything you can want from a modern, stylish restaurant / bar...
Cocktails where up there with surrounding places, food was amazing and really good value for money... staff where really nice and can't do enough to help you, not rushed like other places, music was on point (not too loud)
Overall his place is amazing!! Book now and you won't be disappointed
One of the waiters told me it's recently been taken over by Gilgamesh owners and it shows...
Smart, swanky, great food, great drinks, well priced and on the door stop of Leicester Square 👍🏼
The food was good. My date was disappointed with the pork belly portion size as he received 3 small pieces. The service was great. The Groupon deal was a bit crafty as some of the mains, the pork belly and steak you needed to have sides and that was extra. Plus extra for the steak. But there were two other options. All in all a good experience. Good atmosphere. Would go again, maybe with females who don't need such big portion sizes.
First time I went here with my friend for an evening meal. We had the pre-theatre 3 course dinner meal and we were blown away with the flavour, presentation and taste. On top of the 3 course meal, you get a free glass of prosecco or non alcoholic mocktail. The interior was pretty, waiters were so lovely and if you end up staying as late as we did.. you will find a live DJ. Also after 11pm, you can go into the club next door which is also really nice- haven't seen a club with such nice interior in a while. Well worth going here.
First time visiting. Good food but very overpriced. Waiter forgot our order and we were rushed through our dinner. I was then overcharged by £10 on our bill, which I only noticed when I got home. I paid £49 for my voucher but only got £39 knocked off our bill. Would probably eat the food again but the experience was a little disappointing.
The restaurant is in a nightclub and has a nice dark decor. My miso soup and sushi were good. I tasted my friends salad and Thai green curry and both were a let down.
Service wasn't great - they didn't know what the food or wines were and didn't offer to check, but I still think you should try it out for a pre party dinner with friends who like sushi and miso soup.
The staff were unattentive and disconcerting. I had to ask to be seated to my table, despite the restaurant being absolutely empty, then ask for the menu. Then remind the staff we were booked in for a pre- theatre menu, which required a different menu. There was no explanation of the menu, and no conversation from the waitress. We were made to feel like we didn't belong in there.
The bar staff were superb. Very friendly. Waiting staff were disappointing.
We have been to DSKRT around half a dozen times. We liked it because the service was good, it had a good atmosphere mainly because of the night club next door. The food is very good albeit a little over the top when I comes to pricing. The food is still very good however the service is quite poor and also the atmosphere has mysteriously disappeared. We won't be coming back. Which is a shame.
It was nice, but nothing special compared with other dining experiences in the city.
We visited on a Thursday evening; the welcome and service was great, which I would expect as only 2 tables were booked in this very large space (one of them being us). The only part of the service I was not overly keen on was one of the waiters continuously walking the length of the tables where we were sitting. It made it quite uncomfortable when having private conversations. The waiting staff are clearly visible (more of them than guests) so it would have been easy enough to call a waiter over if you needed something! Not that we ever needed to call them over as they were very attentive and constantly clearing away our plates and topping up our glasses.
The food was good but very small portions, nothing outstanding for the price we paid. I have experienced just as nice and well presented food of this cuisine for half the price. The place itself is nicely decorated :)
The food was good , most of the staff were very accommodating. The main down side was the seating. The seat I was originally given had a massive hole in it. The prices they charge for drinks, they should be able to maintain the up keep of the seats. This seat was replaced with another which also had a hole in it.
They later on used the seat with a massive hole in it for anothe table.
We were also given a meal short from our ore booked set meal.
Upon arriving, it was easy to tell this seemed a little like a tourist trap-in a great location just off Leicester square, premium interior but in reality really lacking substance and being very expensive. It tries to be a Chotto Matte type fusion restaurant but falls very short of what it tries to portray.
The restaurant was absolutely dead, only 4 tables were occupied out of about 50 and this didn't change. I very started to regret my choice at this stage as I felt a bit duped that DSTRKT portrayed itself as a foodie destination but obviously wasn't. The 50% offer was not worth it, it's only valid for the main courses (of which there were only about 8-10), and you need to also order a full price starter. The prices are unbelievably expensive, more so than top restaurants of the quality this place is trying to portray, even with 50% off it did not feel like we were getting good value. i.e. full price examples are Tenderstem Broccolli for £15, Black Cod for £35 (cheaper and better in many top restaurants).
The sushi starter was very nice and comparable to rival restaurants. Unfortunately the other dishes were not good-very dry chicken grilled for £20, with no hint of sauce or moisture, and the dry aged beef was very fatty and almost tasteless without the sauce.
Some of the staff were nice so no complaints there, some were rude-and the trio of ladies at the entrance couldn't be bothered to say goodbye as we left as they were too engaged in conversation.
They had a 2 for 1 cocktail offer advertised outside, which the staff initially didn't know about, it worked out about £15 for 2 so not bad but unfortunately they really weren't very nice.
Overall, a disappointing experience. If the place was buzzing, and we mainly ordered sushi then we'd perhaps have had a better time. Unfortunately we left there hungry, feeling ripped off and walked past countless restaurants where we'd have had a much nicer meal for less money. Beware.
The place itself I thought was decent but I was not overly satisfied with the whole.
At first considering the place was empty drinks were slow coming out.
the service was very nervous and inexperienced.
The Maki rolls in my experience were average and the medium cooked steak was very overdone and chewy - we did not eat it.
for three people the bill was over 200 pounds so in total not impressed at all will not be going back.
