Zaks - Mousehold
Harvey had the opportunity to purchase an old cafรฉ caravan situated on Castle Meadow Norwich next to the old cattle market.
Zaks opened in May 1976 serving the now famous chargrilled burgers in the โOriginal Zaks Caravanโ wrapped in tin foil and cooked fresh to order in the American tradition.
If it is an authentic American dining experience you are looking for then Zaks is your kind of place. Burger, ribs and chicken are standards on our menu. Add to this succulent steaks, amazing desserts and a huge selection of authentic drinks (including shakes).

Amazing burgers, the only ones I will eat and exactly as I was expecting with the real Zaks flavour. A friendly and helpful lady called to take our order for us to collect. This was a really smooth process and collection was easy. It felt very safe and was done within all covid guidelines. Can't wait til we're able to order again when Zaks reopens.

Bearing in mind we decided to order an hour before we collected. The service was so prompt. The food was freshly made in front of my husband who was waiting to collect but not a long wait. It was still piping hot after a 20 minute journey home. The food was amazing just like it is in the restaurant well worth it.

Had a takeaway zaks, and it was amazing. We always receive wonderful service when dining in, and we were just as impressed with their takeaway service. Food was packed well, and everything was still warm when I got home! Will definitely be ordering again!

Lovely food as always! We are both coeliac (gluten free) and it is not a problem for them. Friendly staff and the building is stunning - especially in the evening when it is all lit up! Very organised and quick and we felt COVID safe!

This was our first takeaway Zaks and it tasted just as good as eating inside. I had a C&B vegan burger was was so good, highly recommended. We over ordered on the fries as they were separate to the meals, one bag of fries can easily feed 2 people.

I have been going here for the last 25 years and still love it. Itโs relaxed and casual, staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is lush with a great variety and I never know what to have until I order! Will be going back as soon as we are allowed.
